I enjoy the ease, the money saving features and that I can send and receive money just as I would with PayPal. Pros Sounds simple but what I like most about chime is how beautiful the not one but two cards look and feel. Cons What I like least is, why didn't I know about this bank years ago 😞. And this is exactly why I've been recommending chime to everyone and their brother 🙂 no joke I have. But if you need more traditional banking features or fast help with account problems, it might not be the best fit. Pros Chime is a good option if you're looking for a basic, no-fee online bank. Signing up is easy, and I liked that there are no monthly fees, no overdraft fees (if you qualify), and you can get your paycheck a couple of days early with direct deposit. The mobile app is user-friendly and makes it easy to check balances, transfer money, or get alerts. Cons However, there are a few downsides. Since Chime is completely online, there are no physical branches, which can be frustrating if you need in-person help. Customer service is okay, but sometimes it takes a while to get issues resolved. Also, depositing cash can be inconvenient, since you have to go to a third-party store that may charge a fee. Chime is always free. You can also get a sign-up bonus for opening a new account. Pros no minimum, no mandatory transactions. Use it or not use it, your account is free. Early payday. If your payday is on Friday, it becomes Wednesday. Many ATMs in their network at no charge Cons its online only bank, therefore \*No physical banks, so you can't have your favorite banker, who will explain everything. (so limited customer support) \*You cannot get physical bank services like bank check \*I do not believe there are joint accounts, and definitely no custodian account. Pros It's easy to to send/receive money, it's a free online banking service, everything about it is easy to use and 100 % safe. And it also has a great credit building program as well. Cons The only downside I could find, which didn't bother me at all, was of course being an online bank there is no physical branches available. Since changing I have no problems with my money missing or debit/credit and deposits missing. My money is always there and even when late they notify you via email with a reason and apologize! My credit jumped through hoops using this card Cons I don't like the fact every chime account isn't able to get the early pay and spot me bonus. I just really like chime they are good! Free, and easy to use and understand! Pros Chime is easy and free to use, you can put money in savings or keep it in checking, you can have a certain percentage come out of your check and go directly into your savings, if you send money to a friend or if a friend sends money to you it's avaliable right away. You can get paid up to 2 days early with chime and they have cool bonuses if you get a friend to sign up! Chime support is also very good and understanding when you go to them if you have any issues! They make it super easy to set up direct deposit as you can easily copy and paste information. That also helps you not accidentally type the wrong information to your employer. It's also free of any monthly fees which is pretty rare for banking apps. I got my card in the mail in a week and the app let me know it was on its way. If you set up direct deposit you can get paid faster and if you are qualified than you can overdraft up to $200 without having to pay a fee. I love that feature the most because it comes in handy in emergencies. It has saved me a few times!! I believe they have options to help build or improve your credit as well.
