However, actually getting the system to work was a headache. Despite its reputation, I found the interface to be confusing, clunky, and far from intuitive. Setting up the hardware, trying to figure out how playlists and schedules sync together, and simply navigating the dashboard felt overly complicated. It took me way longer than it should have just to get a basic image running on my screen. Ultimately, I appreciate the low cost, but the steep learning curve made me question if the savings were worth the initial hassle. **Pros:** its incredibly intuitive, drag-and-drop web interface, which allows anyone to create professional-looking displays without prior graphic design experience. Another major standout is its hardware flexibility. Yodeck operates seamlessly on highly affordable Raspberry Pi players, keeping initial setup costs remarkably low. **Cons:** Honestly, I am completely lost when it comes to using Yodeck. Everyone says it’s supposed to be this incredibly intuitive, drag-and-drop digital signage platform, but the moment I log into the dashboard, I feel totally overwhelmed. I don’t understand how to properly link my screens, and the thought of configuring a Raspberry Pi player sounds like a foreign language to me. Navigating through the different widgets, media layers, playlists, and scheduling options just leaves me staring blankly at my monitor. I know there are plenty of tutorials and quick-start guides available online, but right now, the entire interface feels like a complicated puzzle. We post up pictures of football teams and jokes related to science, technology, engineering, and math, etc. I was surprised how well it worked to set up on the Amazon Sticks. The board finally quit complaining about the cost, as the lobby now appears professional. **Pros:** Yodeck program actually loaded without giving me a headache. They offer templates that are very clean looking and didn't appear to be something you would expect out of a low cost program. I'm glad the student interns are handling the updates because I have enough going on at my desk already. **Cons:** I hate the scheduling portion of the program, and I am still trying to figure out why I have to click ten different buttons just to schedule one single slide? Because our school's Wi-Fi is a little unreliable (to say the least); the fact that this program doesn't work when you're off-line is an issue we deal with regularly.
