I love things that can make my work life more efficient and productive. Advertising events for college students nowadays, with all the new pressures and time constraints, can be really difficult. Yodeck allows us to centralize messaging in each of our buildings based on content type/unit and students know where to get their info for the really important things, like major events or critical dates related to their experience on campus. We've had the product for years now, and there is no way that someone can do what Yodeck does better. Also, we went with the RasberryPi players from Yodeck, and to be honest that is such an easy route to go, especially if you are buying in large quantities like we did. Pros The ease of use is incredible, and it is WAY more intuitive than other solutions we've worked with. We have an enterprise account setup, and I have trained folks from the most tech savvy to the least resourceful, and they all love it. The interface is so easy, and they have been improving things every year as far as performance and integrations. Their tech staff also helped me with a really nuanced question a few years back and were awesome. And not to mention that the cost savings compared to what it would take to print and post similar sized signs and pay the staff to do it is significant, especially with us as a small school...value for the money is a real thing. Cons To be honest, very little. There are a few things like having to select date/time functions rather than inputting, but that is a programming thing to ensure there isn't an issue with that input. Intergrating my own appointments system was a bit of a task trying to make the webpage appear properly when I put this in a restaurant, but not Yodeck's fault. I've only had 1 minor issue so far, but support resolved it almost instantly. UI is excellent, IMO. Also, the emails about a device being offline are very helpful. As a small business, we were looking for an inexpensive solution, and Yodeck does the trick! I will continue to use the software. Pros Yodeck is a great value. It's pretty easy to use and intuitive. Having an app with Amazon/Firestick is exactly what I was looking for, and the free plan more than meets my needs as a small business. Customer service is responsive. Cons Content management is a little difficult for large volumes. While everything can be organized, it's not easy to find when putting together your playlist, and the playlist needs to be scrolled constantly to see what you have at the end. My player does occasionally disconnect and it's difficult to reconnect it, but I couldn't say why - following all of the troubleshooting steps just doesn't work and I have to go to customer service. Customer service does help but I never understand what I wasn't doing right in the first place. " October 15, 2025 4.0 We onboarded Yodeck devices and software with the help of our IT department, to be used on the monitors that were installed in our lobbies, pre-function spaces and convention center corridors. Once deployed, our on site team trained in the software to understand how to program and update the devices. It's been very hands on and we are at the point where the 4 people on the implementation team have gotten ~90% fluent with the Yodeck software. We are able to update and manage 16 devices with minimal errors or issues. Pros Yodeck software and devices have been an enormous upgrade to our new expansion space; allowing us to quickly and easily update the monitors throughout the public spaces with information that our guests take notice of and respond well to. The functionality of the devices is exactly as expected, with the apps available in the software able to do everything we need and more to showcase our brand, our event partners and our destination overall. Cons Yodeck has a large knowledge hub available, with videos and written tutorials for the capabilty of their software ( media, layouts, schedules etc) but you have to know what you are looking for to find it. Its not intuitive learning that builds upon itself, because the software can be used so many different ways. If you choose to use some aspects but not others, it wouldn't benefit you to learn how that part of the software or its apps is function because it doesn't translate. The platform and software are very user friendly and content can be updated very easily. At minimum we update our content monthly but there have been times were we update it multiple times a day and have never had any issues. We compared various digital platforms and Yodeck stood out the most to us. Pros Yodeck is very easy to use. The platform is very straight forward and isn't complicated at all to use. We've been with Yodeck for 1+ years and have hired new people to our team who have had no issue getting trained on it since it's so easy to use. It was also the most affordable of the options we compared. They don't have any issues that we've encountered like with our old vendor. It's also easy to communicate with them through their chat option on the platform. We have players from them and also got our own where we install the software and have had no issues with either. Cons The only complaint we have is that they are in a different time zone then us so sometimes it take a while for them to get back to us but thankfully we have not had any real issues where it has had a negative impact on our work. They get back to us as soon as possible so it's not a big issue for us. When it came down to all the tools we needed and the price, nobody could beat them. Pros It's super easy to use, easy to implement with existing hardware (we had Raspberry Pi), the widgets are useful and the quality of the overall product enhances the image of the business for visiting clients. Cons Some of the widgets text is slightly lower resolution i.e. our scan for WiFi and weather are lower res than the time and rss feeds. Going into it, I didn't really expect much. But within an hour or two of creating my account, they reached out to make sure that I was doing good and find out more about my requirements. I got the feeling that they actually cared. Then when I later ran into some hiccups due to my strict requirements had to create a support ticket for assistance, they were able to provide me solutions quickly and painlessly despite my inexperience with these types of products. Pros Basic setup is incredibly easy, configuration is intuitive, and even advanced integration is not difficult. It also has tons of features that are all straight-forward, easy to set up, and yet is flexible enough to make basic integration with external tools easy. And on top of that, their support team is top-notch. Cons My experience has been incredibly positive. Really, my only complaints about Yodeck are just a few minor quality of life things. First, it would be nice if they integrated editing the settings of the specific media/web page being displayed on a player with that player's settings and visa-versa so that you don't need to go back and forth between the screen settings page and the media settings page. Second, it would be nice if the players came with an updated version of the Chromium browser. Granted, some things work fine without it, and when I told support about my symptoms they knew right away that an upgrade was needed and pushed the upgrade immediately. But it would be nice to not need to go through those extra steps. And finally, it would be really nice if there was an integrated way to force dark mode for web pages that do not innately have that option. Yodeck allows us to mix static and dynamic content as well rich media like videos easily and the end result looks fantastic across different displays. Access to the web console for content management can be delegated easily to end users. Pros Yodeck is super easy to setup and our content is easily managed by end users via the web console. It is flexible enough to enable all kinds of different dynamic content to be displayed. Cons It gets a bit expensive when multiple screens are required, although it gives us the flexibility to display the things we need. This has all but eliminated the need for a traveling "tv person" to keep our messaging consistent. Pros I love that Yodeck has been consistent. They have improved the control panel and UI/UX of their service over the years, and they've done that with little to no pain points for me. The service is rock-solid, and I've always had an easy, and quick experience with the support staff. Cons I have nothing to complain about or be dissatisfied with. I am completely satisfied with their product. It is the easiest and most convenient of all the services we pay for. It saves our team time since managing digital signage is simple and reliable. The integration with our SSO worked well, and showing Grafana dashboards on screens helps our teams see important info right away. The platform has been stable, the support team is quick to respond, and everything has worked as expected. Pros Yodeck is very easy to use and the layout makes updates simple. Setting up playlists and managing screens is quick and straight forward. Their customer support has also been really good. When we migrated from one tenant to another, everything went smoothly including SSO. Any time something is wrong on one of our screens, submitting a ticket is easy and we always get a fast response. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer CEO Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great Once You Get the Hang of It" April 11, 2026 5.0 Pros I use the free version of Yodeck to display artwork downloaded from Wikicommons for my kids on the Blackdove Samsung Frame. It turns on in the morning and off at night. Pretty cool. I also discovered that you can display YouTube videos by uploading the URL and it plays them on a loop, which is great because the kids don't then watch the endless content scroll, which can be inappropriate for children. Cons It takes a bit to set up, though I think this was the fault of my Blackdove hardware, which also doesn't allow me to rotate the screen 180 degrees. It still shows on the screen, just compressed. (Apparently I have to reinstall the software for a proper display.) Also, there is an annoying, if minor UI issue. When you change the media on a screen there is both a Save button in the upper right hand corner and a Save and Push button under the screen icon. Review Source
