Pros Value for the money is the top thing, plus the advanced programmability and advanced features. It's easy to setup, change and maintain these systems. I haven't experienced any bugs or issues and their customer service is 10/10 with help for programming apps or making your own integrations. I love yodeck! Building digital signage on Raspberry pi's is a great idea, they are fast, sleek and portable! Cons Nothing, this software is perfect. I'd love to see some more cool tool add-ons like Order Calling Systems, Appointment managers and more functional solutions. Intergrating my own appointments system was a bit of a task trying to make the webpage appear properly when I put this in a restaurant, but not Yodeck's fault. If you added these on say for a small fee I think it would be a huge success! It’s user-friendly, feature-rich, and very robust. I'm able to slim down a lot of functions embedded in my website that is displayed because yodeck has all the features i coded into the page risking its stability. Things like scheduled reloads for example. Pros The biggest lifesaver for me was the orientation setup. I struggled for a long time with other systems to get my information screen running in portrait mode (vertical). With Yodeck, it was literally just one click and it worked perfectly. Besides the easy setup, the platform is incredibly stable and reliable. It’s packed with professional features and widgets that you wouldn't expect for free. The fact that they offer one screen for free with full functionality is absolutely amazing. Just some extra functions are only available through licence. Cons No mobile friendly app. I would like to have a mobile app that can go between monitors and set schedules. I am able to sign in on my phone using safari, but it is a little difficult to see all the information. They have a free plan that gives you access to all features of the software if you have just one screen. This allows me to utilize all of the robust features of this system such as widgets, scheduling slides, etc. and save time in trying to make something work on a platform that does not allow or have access to these types of applications. This saves me so much time in being able to communicate to families who are waiting to the waiting room. They are able to obtain information while I am with the patient instead of me having to end sessions early to discuss various information. Pros Yodeck has allowed me to streamline my digital signage workflow to be more effective to meet my busy schedule. It has a lot of robust features that are easily integrated in the digital signage. I especially appreciate the Canva plugin. Cons Some of the widgets could be refined better. I feel like they take a while to load on my system (I am using the Amazon Fire Digital Signage stick). For example, the native weather widget on Yodeck always spins for 2-5 seconds before displaying the weather. It also shows the radar in the wrong location (could be user error). Going into it, I didn't really expect much. But within an hour or two of creating my account, they reached out to make sure that I was doing good and find out more about my requirements. I got the feeling that they actually cared. Then when I later ran into some hiccups due to my strict requirements had to create a support ticket for assistance, they were able to provide me solutions quickly and painlessly despite my inexperience with these types of products. Pros Basic setup is incredibly easy, configuration is intuitive, and even advanced integration is not difficult. It also has tons of features that are all straight-forward, easy to set up, and yet is flexible enough to make basic integration with external tools easy. And on top of that, their support team is top-notch. Cons My experience has been incredibly positive. Really, my only complaints about Yodeck are just a few minor quality of life things. First, it would be nice if they integrated editing the settings of the specific media/web page being displayed on a player with that player's settings and visa-versa so that you don't need to go back and forth between the screen settings page and the media settings page. Second, it would be nice if the players came with an updated version of the Chromium browser. Granted, some things work fine without it, and when I told support about my symptoms they knew right away that an upgrade was needed and pushed the upgrade immediately. But it would be nice to not need to go through those extra steps. And finally, it would be really nice if there was an integrated way to force dark mode for web pages that do not innately have that option. Access to the web console for content management can be delegated easily to end users. Pros Yodeck is super easy to setup and our content is easily managed by end users via the web console. It is flexible enough to enable all kinds of different dynamic content to be displayed. Cons It gets a bit expensive when multiple screens are required, although it gives us the flexibility to display the things we need.
