But once it is set up, easy to maintain and update. Pros One screen office marketing on a budget. Free as is. We don't have to keep the office internet (or the computer) on to have it play all night. This is without their specialized attachment. Easy to plug and play a new slideshow and cast it, feels like phone to tv casting. Cons cost of use and the single tv to cast to for free. Cons Overall the software is easy to use but there is some room for improvement. On a slower connection, web content only starts loading when visible, so we see a spinner for a long time before the content gets displayed. With clever tricks I managed to make it do what I needed but I'm still unable to have it just automatically populate data using other site's / services api's. Pros It's simple and to the point. Has all the basic features you need to get up and running quickly. Cons It doesn't have a full GUI for building out more interactive or dynamic menus. It would also be nice if it would support setting up plugins so that we can make REST API calls to other sites/applications to populate data for the menus. It would allow for more real time inventory/pricing display without a lot of tedious work to setup. Truth is, you could just setup a basic webpage with the same functionality that YoDeck provides (without the remote management part) using REST API calls to update it. I can update marketing material on the fly and display it instantly. Everything I need is easy to find and use, making the process totally painless. Running signs on an older device with inadequate WiFi seems to be the only negative, and Yodeck should consider discontinuing support for these older devices. Cons The thing I dislike the most is that some elements are not fully translated in my language (French) and since my organization is situated in a region where we have a language police, it is difficult for us. We’ve set up custom playlists, scheduled TVs to turn on and off automatically, and tailored the content to match different areas of the gym — all from one dashboard. Pros One of the biggest advantages is that Yodeck allows us to use regular 4K TVs instead of expensive commercial signage, which has saved us a ton of money without sacrificing quality. Cons You get one screen for free, but as soon as you upgrade to 2+ you have to pay for all screens including the one previously free. The ability to easily mange multiple screens makes up for that. Pros Ease of use. Web interface is simple. We have staff who arents too computer savvy with technolgy and they are able to make simople adjustments to their screens without turning it into a disaster. We would reccomend for smaller to mid sized businesses. Cons Sometimes the boxes need reset and not easy to reflash. My company is delighted to have this inexpensive and highly functional solution. I highly recommend it. Pros I loved the simplicity of using the Yodeck. We use it in our company to display videos on a loop. Being able to program switch-on and switch-off times is also a big plus. The price is also very attractive, unlike the competition Cons What I didn't like was the time it took to import a fairly large video, for example. Tv turns on and off automatically at scheduled times . Pretty much set up and forget. Adding content is a breeze. Cons If you use the free account and want to add a second player, you lose the free one and have to pay for two (this makes no sense). Every few days you get an email stating your account is marked for deletion if you do not log in to your account every 90 days. You can login on Friday and you still get the email on monday or tuesday. This is very annoying since once you have everything set up you only need to log in when you want to make changes.
