Still, for most digital signage needs, Yodeck provides a reliable and scalable solution. Pros All things are centralized in one dashboard. No need to navigate from menu to another to find what you are looking for. Cons While Yodeck is powerful and user-friendly overall, one of the things I liked least was the limited offline functionality. Content playback relies heavily on a stable internet connection, and although it does support local storage on the player, some dynamic content (like web pages or live feeds) won’t function properly offline. They make things quick and easy. We use it to display dashboards on televisions throughout our offices. Pros Yodeck is quick and easy. Order online, already has Wifi credentials loaded. Can just plug the device in and go. You'll never need to sign into the device, you can completely manage it from the console. You can combine webpages, videos, announcements, even weather alerts. It’s made content scheduling and updates fast, and I don’t have to worry about technical issues or being on-site to make changes. Pros Yodeck makes managing screens super simple and reliable. The ability to upload videos, images, and playlists from anywhere saves so much time. I love how scheduling works — it’s easy to set up recurring content for weekly events or special announcements. The layout editor is straightforward, and the platform has been very stable with our players. It’s perfect for small teams that need something professional without being complicated. Cons Some of the templates and layout tools could be more customizable, and large video uploads can take a while. I have been working directly with Raspberry PIs in the past but it was always such a hustle to get it working. Now it is easy to change the screens if needed (we have 7). And if it is, they even have a tier where you get free players for each screen you sign up for. Cons Installing the Yodeck software on our Raspberry PI was a bit of a pain, and I even work in IT everyday. February 26, 2025 5.0 We had been using videos to put content on our digital signage around the building. That was extremely cumbersome to change which resulted in it only being updated 1-2 times a year. With Yodeck, we're able to update as often as we want and it is VERY easy to do. Now content is often updated multiple times a week, not counting that things like weather and newsfeeds update automatically. Also we can provide SSO access to the appropriate employees that manage the content which gives us comfort that if an employee leaves or is terminated, they will immediately lose access. Pros It was very easy to implement and it provided security at all levels rather than having it behind a paywall like so many other companies. That tells me that they take security seriously rather than as a financial tool. Cons It can be a bit busy, but I'm an IT guy whereas the marketing people absolutely love it.
