" October 15, 2025 4.0 We onboarded Yodeck devices and software with the help of our IT department, to be used on the monitors that were installed in our lobbies, pre-function spaces and convention center corridors. Once deployed, our on site team trained in the software to understand how to program and update the devices. It's been very hands on and we are at the point where the 4 people on the implementation team have gotten ~90% fluent with the Yodeck software. We are able to update and manage 16 devices with minimal errors or issues. Pros Yodeck software and devices have been an enormous upgrade to our new expansion space; allowing us to quickly and easily update the monitors throughout the public spaces with information that our guests take notice of and respond well to. The functionality of the devices is exactly as expected, with the apps available in the software able to do everything we need and more to showcase our brand, our event partners and our destination overall. Cons Yodeck has a large knowledge hub available, with videos and written tutorials for the capabilty of their software ( media, layouts, schedules etc) but you have to know what you are looking for to find it. Its not intuitive learning that builds upon itself, because the software can be used so many different ways. If you choose to use some aspects but not others, it wouldn't benefit you to learn how that part of the software or its apps is function because it doesn't translate. April 9, 2026 5.0 Screen management is straightforward, and it includes all the features you need without adding unnecessary extras. Last but not least, the support team is really responsive and quick and helped me resolve a few issues. Pros It simply works! Just plug in the player and publish your content. It’s cheaper than other well-known digital signage solutions. There are plenty of services you can connect, and if that’s not enough, you can always display your own pages and make your communication awesome. Cons Because we have a free screen when it’s the only one, it’s disappointing that there’s no free screen when we buy additional ones. They have a free plan that gives you access to all features of the software if you have just one screen. This allows me to utilize all of the robust features of this system such as widgets, scheduling slides, etc. and save time in trying to make something work on a platform that does not allow or have access to these types of applications. This saves me so much time in being able to communicate to families who are waiting to the waiting room. They are able to obtain information while I am with the patient instead of me having to end sessions early to discuss various information. Pros Yodeck has allowed me to streamline my digital signage workflow to be more effective to meet my busy schedule. It has a lot of robust features that are easily integrated in the digital signage. I especially appreciate the Canva plugin. Cons Some of the widgets could be refined better. I feel like they take a while to load on my system (I am using the Amazon Fire Digital Signage stick). For example, the native weather widget on Yodeck always spins for 2-5 seconds before displaying the weather. It also shows the radar in the wrong location (could be user error). It also allows us to display reminders of past events, including photos and awards the company has received. While the primary audience is our employees, customers may also see this area when they come in or out for meetings. In another setting, we used it in a public waiting room to ensure participants could easily view available community resources, which was very helpful. Pros I have used this for a variety of purposes, both internally within the company where only employees have access, and externally in public areas with content meant for a wider audience. I appreciate how easy it is to set up and to add multiple people, which makes it simple to organize and manage. This allows for new and fresh content to be contributed from different perspectives, departments, and initiatives. Cons They sometimes go offline and require reformatting, which can be quite inconvenient, especially when the device is installed in a hard-to-reach place, like a TV mounted high up that needs a ladder to access. Additionally, I think there should be a greater variety of layouts and designs, with new ones added more frequently. Customer support is also lack luster. You can do a chat, but they are not really wanted to assist or help with the issue, and you cannot call or do a remote session to just get the issue resolved quickly, its takes time due to needing to chat back and forth. The platform and software are very user friendly and content can be updated very easily. At minimum we update our content monthly but there have been times were we update it multiple times a day and have never had any issues. We compared various digital platforms and Yodeck stood out the most to us. Pros Yodeck is very easy to use. The platform is very straight forward and isn't complicated at all to use. We've been with Yodeck for 1+ years and have hired new people to our team who have had no issue getting trained on it since it's so easy to use. It was also the most affordable of the options we compared. They don't have any issues that we've encountered like with our old vendor. It's also easy to communicate with them through their chat option on the platform. We have players from them and also got our own where we install the software and have had no issues with either. Cons The only complaint we have is that they are in a different time zone then us so sometimes it take a while for them to get back to us but thankfully we have not had any real issues where it has had a negative impact on our work. They get back to us as soon as possible so it's not a big issue for us. When they create the slides for the displays it is automatically updated on the next scheduled update. They don't have to think about transferring the slides from Canva to Yodeck, it just happens. Pros It is perfect for the lobby of our non-profit preschool to announce upcoming events, parent reminders and staff-directory. It is also used to display the day's lunch menu. It was very easy to setup and integrate with our Canva subscription. It is one every day during normal school hours. Cons I have not found anything I dislike about Yodeck. Going into it, I didn't really expect much. But within an hour or two of creating my account, they reached out to make sure that I was doing good and find out more about my requirements. I got the feeling that they actually cared. Then when I later ran into some hiccups due to my strict requirements had to create a support ticket for assistance, they were able to provide me solutions quickly and painlessly despite my inexperience with these types of products. Pros Basic setup is incredibly easy, configuration is intuitive, and even advanced integration is not difficult. It also has tons of features that are all straight-forward, easy to set up, and yet is flexible enough to make basic integration with external tools easy. And on top of that, their support team is top-notch. Cons My experience has been incredibly positive. Really, my only complaints about Yodeck are just a few minor quality of life things. First, it would be nice if they integrated editing the settings of the specific media/web page being displayed on a player with that player's settings and visa-versa so that you don't need to go back and forth between the screen settings page and the media settings page. Second, it would be nice if the players came with an updated version of the Chromium browser. Granted, some things work fine without it, and when I told support about my symptoms they knew right away that an upgrade was needed and pushed the upgrade immediately. But it would be nice to not need to go through those extra steps. And finally, it would be really nice if there was an integrated way to force dark mode for web pages that do not innately have that option. With the only issue being transitions, it is a small price to pay for the overall ease of use and fantastic features they provide. We are not even paying for the service right now as we only have one display set up! I could not be happier! Pros Adding content to the web page is extremely easy and I was able to introduce it to staff within 20 minutes. While we currently only have one device, it is in the main lobby and is in use every day, it has grabbed the attention of many people and helped spread important information. Setting it up was as easy as plugging in some cables! We are planning on setting up their devices in every high traffic area. I have not reached out to support yet, but that should go to show how easy the service and device is to use. Cons The only real issue is when using a playlist there is an option for a "transition". The transitions work perfectly and really help the images from being jarring when changing. Unfortunately, the transition only works for images and images only. If you include videos, websites, or their built in feature called "layouts", you do not get the transition when it shows that. This leads to a strange viewing experience where some of the slides transition to the next, but then it blatantly cuts to others. Very easy to create a playlist of images to rotate on the display. When using the premium service, a proof of playback is provided, which can be useful for demonstrating to customers that images are displayed for the correct period of time. Cons Layouts can be awkward to use at first, but after some practice, you can create pretty useful screens. There is a slight learning curve here. The apps are very cool, but can be limiting in the output they display. It would be cool if you could pull an app into a layout and adjust the output, for example, the time and date app. If I want this displayed in a different format (time on top and date below, I found I had to create the app twice and import it into a layout, crop both only to include the time in one and date in another and then stack them in the order I want. There was a learning curve in scheduling out when i have different signage playing on different days of the week, but I found setting one day then adding multiple occurrences seemed the best way to schedule 2–3-day increments Pros I can easily reformat a new card and set up a new raspberry pi in minutes if I have a problem. I have been able to use a raspberry pi at the office to confirm and test various signage options using the free 1 player. November 5, 2025 5.0 I had consultants working for me to look at options for digital signage. They recommended Yodek to me and I have been really impressed. It is a good professionally produced system. Pros It is a simple system with powerful features. I'm now using 3 screens, and I can see the potential. I love that I can produce effective messaging direct to the people I need to reach. It is also very cost effective, a simple player and a TV screen from a local store is all I need. I am learning how to best make content, and find the simplest is to use Canva to make HD format graphics, or sometimes animations in a HD format video. Cons It has taken me a while to learn to use it well. My next task is to train others. Not that I think this will be too hard. My one problem to date happened when I fitted the player to a wall and mounted the plastic side of the box direct to the wall. This massively attenuated the WiFi signal.
