Playing with different layouts has been great for our monthly promotions. The ability to design a layout in the software is a big advantage. Pros We were looking for an option that didn't require a seperate player box for our tv in our retail store. The bonus of also being able to design our own layouts and playlists with ease is what set this apart from the other options we trialled. The fact that this works with everything you need for free is a major bonus. We ended up expanding it to a couple of screens because of how easy it is to use. It is now being used daily in store to show current promotions and customer images. We can use decomissioned thin clients to get a new live as an output device for signage displays at our company. Native integrations to things like Grafana or Calendars make it easier to build layouts than embedding web pages. Customer support (we only had to resort to them once) is helpful. We did not need to reach out more often because their documentation is detailed. Cons The initial installation on a Linux desktop OS with Chrome was a bit hard because the provided PWA could not be automatically booted in full screen. This could only be resolved with support because it was unclear for us on how to do. Pros In general Yodfeck is very easy to use. I am not a programmer but stil i was able to build a nice narowcasting screen for our ridingschool Cons I don't know jet. It takes out a lot of the 'Techy' side out of presenting your Digital Signage and is a simple and powerful package once you start using it. The online help is well referenced and the Tech help is friendly and thorough. Great if you're wanting Digital Signage without getting a degree in it first! Cons Some of the file formats don't upload well from a Mac OS (particularly mkv with added subtitle files), but for most business users, Yodeck will exceed most of your needs. One of the main reasons we use it is to welcome customers when they walk into our lobby. They love seeing their name and the name of their company on the screen. Pros We like the ease of uploading content and pushing it out to our digital signage. Being able to review the content online prior to pushing it out is a plus. I also like that I'm notified when one of my displays has lost connection. We use it every day. Cons When slides change, there's a circle that pops up as the content loads.
