We have many departments in our organization and it would be too much for one person to manage each of the digital displays. The user-friendliness of the software allows our users to get up and running quickly. Pros The user-friendly interface is great! I was able to get screens set up quickly using built-in Tizen players and players. Cons Some of the content creation can be clunky. There are issues when creating playlists and layouts that resulted in screens defaulting to black until they were rebooted. Also, the website creation portion of the media interface is not clear about where the URL goes until you test it out a few times. Cons I wish it had better integration with Canva. We post our school calendar of events, and are constantly updating the content. I like being able to go to Canva to update content, avoiding having to re-upload. However, I can only display a single slide from a Canva project. I like a very colorful and detailed display due to it being in a Retirement Community, where many seniors have vision issues. I enjoy being able to create event/activity specific slides and playlists that change automatically (scheduled) each week. Also, residents really enjoy having music playing in the lobbies - when I am able to find an option for streaming audio. Pros I like being able to create individual slides for upcoming events (versus a listing of events that can cause confusion with seniors). I also create weekly playlists, and am able to schedule them to change each Friday evening to reflect the upcoming week. This allows me to take one full day near the end of each month to create the next month's slides, events, playlists, etc and then I'm done. I don't have to be "hands on" more than once a month unless I choose to. Also, in cases when an event/activity needs to be rescheduled or cancelled, it is easy to change the slide to reflect this. Our lobbies are also more interesting and attractive with the announcement screens and playlists. Cons I can create a slide with specific text fields, "lock" them, and then add another field and the font will change. Or when I open a slide, sometimes the fonts in text fields have changed in such a way that the text does not fit the view any longer (ie: changed to a larger font). I'm not sure why this happens, but it does.Underlaying audio into layouts is difficult because the options are very limited without paying for a streaming service. February 5, 2024 4.0 I enjoyed installing and programming the system. It was frustrating dealing with the WiFi system on our property and making all the right connections. I enjoy making all of the slides/images for the displays and building the playlists for the benefit of our team. I have had some very positive feedback from team members about the system and I keep getting them asking me when I am going to program the sports or some games? :) Pros Be able to update daily, easily, and build on the communication system within the hotel. Cons The programming took some messing around and trying to get a good WiFi signal. It was annoying to contact the company as you could not speak with anyone directly and had to go through email always. After many attempts to get one box working and emailing back and forth to trouble shoot the problem I finally had them mail me a new card, which I installed and was able to get the last screen working. You can literally work the user dashboard from concept to publishing within a couple of minutes in so many cases. I also love that updates can be done from my phone to prepare welcomes for arriving board members, surprise parties for employees who are celebrating high-year milestone service anniversaries, and even put up QR codes for pulse surveys that we need our employees to engage with immediately. alsoo allows us to prioritize messages. It also allows us to toggle with how long we want a piece of content to appear on screen compared to another piece which can enable our employees with as much time as they need to receive the message. Multi-Location feature gives a level of detail that I didn’t even know I needed until it was presented to me. Some locations within our footprint don’t need to see certain messages, and this functionality allows us to skip publishing to their location’s device. Being able to customize what content you want to appear on screen is one thing, but the option to run a news banner, weather forecast, and the local time in the corner is icing on the cake. It makes for a dynamic experience, drawing eyes to the screen and creating an interesting and refreshing experience for our employees every time. Finally, sheduling is extremely helpful for initiatives, events and activities that are bound by a window of time, and also convenient for me because I don’t have to physically go back into Yodeck and remove the content myself. It helps ensure messages to our employees don’t get stale. Cons Doesn’t include integrations into Microsoft 365 that we want our seamless employees to see or have access to. Also, does not use locations to auto-translate messages.
