Some aerial shots of the building, live traffic and public transport information in addition to the local weather forecast. For our visiting guests, we have some information about the solar panels and the real time power usage of our building. Pros Yodeck is easy to set up and has a lot of features, even more than i've used previously. Some features i've missed previously or had to workaround have been added. April 2, 2024 5.0 Yodeck has made life easier and makes certain that our advertising is displayed the way I want it to be. I'm so glad that I made the choice to select Yodeck. We started with one monitor, added a second monitor, and I plan to add a third within the next month or so. Pros It was easy to use. From uploading my pictures, to designing my layouts, & creating my playlists, everything was simple to set up & I don't have to hear my husband complain about the handwriting or the description on the specials board anymore. I've created layouts that make everything look professional & readable for our customers. Cons We had a little bit of a struggle getting our monitor & TV to work together. Our guests sit at the bar and watch what feels like our virtual TV station-- 'Outworld TV' Pros Installing Yodeck on the monitors is so easy. Uploading media to our account is fast and and painless. Creating playlists is a piece of cake! Pushing to the monitors happens instantaneously. In my years of using Yodeck I have not had to contact help/support after the initial installation/learning curve! Cons It's really splitting hairs but on rare occasion it's not super easy to find all of the features I would like to use. I would also like to see more robustwidgets/apps. I use it daily for general announcements and it makes for a heartwarming welcome for weddings and funerals. Pros Yodeck is a very easy to use system to display calendars, upcoming events, welcome messages, etc. to visitors coming into Church. We use it extensively to keep the community in the know as to what is going on now and in the near future. Cons The only thing I have found lacking in Yodeck is the integration with Google Calendars. December 19, 2023 5.0 Pros What I like the most is my ability to completely control everything remotely. (I can even SSH into the pi, if I need/want.) What I like the second most is the fact that I almost never have to do anything. It just works. It updates itself, I set a screen schedule that it follows, weather alerts are automatic, etc. Setting up and managing digital signage with Yodeck is easy and convenient. Cons The price seems a bit high. I know it is about the same or a little less than most other digital signage solutions with similar features, but I think the others are way overpriced. Should the price increase anymore, we definitely will be canceling. However, take this criticism with a grain of salt. We do not sell ads or make any money using this software. We use it to manage our 2-3 internal screens that display some information for convenience. If we needed to manage more screens (5-10) and our use wasn't simply convenience, this would certainly be worth every penny. If they made the first screen actually free (i.e. 2 screens means 1 paid and 1 free), that would definitely change my opinion on the product's value. Review Source mM michael M. Once the screens were launched the positive benefit for and feedback from our patrons was overwhelmingly positive. The daily use of the tool becomes intuitive - it just works. Pros The ease of use off the shelf was very appealing, as well as the low-cost compared to competitors. Once we started building campaigns customer support was responsive and informative. We also particularly like that Yodeck is supported on RaspberryPi devices making our rollout simple and affordable. Cons There is a learning curve to Yodeck and it needs to be initially handled by a lead comfortable learning and navigating the tool. It's likely that when knowledge transfer happens to other personnel that some training and knowledge transfer will be necessary at the entity level to ensure the quality and integrity of the projects remain consistent. The support is responsive, the team is friendly. I truly feel like they want to provide this service to me. I am so thrilled to use their service. Pros Yodeck is amazing for us, a small non-profit school with an afterschool program. I don't have time to change the content regularly but with the scheduling, tags, playlists, and customization I can put all the children's birthdays waaaay ahead of time and they will appear for their birthdays! With events I can do the same. I can easily upload images and schedule them to play until the end of the school year in the general playlist and then schedule completely different images to play during school breaks. I love Yodeck - it was everything I was looking for when I first started trying digital signage. I tried so many different services before choosing Yodeck, and it was the only one that did everything I needed. Cons Sometimes it reboots on it's own or doesn't come back on without me doing it manually - I don't think this is Yodeck's fault, as their Amazon Firestick support is fairly new. I would love to get a Yodeck player but it is out of budget for our very small nonprofit school. Will definitely be using this product for all of my digital signage needs Pros The easiest way to set up simple, professional digital signage. You can pay for a subscription and set up your own devices and on it's own, that is a nice easy process with all the provided information, but by far the best feature is you can buy a RaspberryPI with YoDeck already installed, and they can arrive with Wi-Fi pre-configured, making each device a plug and play experience. Plug in power, plug in provided HDMI cable and that's it. It self boots, connects to the preconfigured wi-fi and downloads all required updates. Could not be easier! Cons Not much that I didn't like. I'm using a super-cheap HP computer connected to a smart TV via HDMI. I was able to lock out all controls on the TV. The PC automatically boots into Yodeck and begins playing with no user intervention required. If we lose power, I get a notification and I get a reminder after a few hours of continued outage. This allows me to check on the player and make sure it recovered. The calendars are great for us as we can use it to display company paid holidays, requested overtime days, and to notify of scheduled outages. Showing KPIs via Powerpoint functionality works very well and really helps show our people what a difference they make in terms of production numbers and dollars. I also like being able to show some regular google news and espn news just so our people don't see it as a boring, static device with none of their interests. Cons Instagram functionality seems to be not so good. It could be just me, but I have not been successful with this yet. While the player will reboot itself after a power outage, the Yodeck software itself seems to not recover gracefully. Usually I have to manually reboot the PC on which its running after power is restored. If I don't, the TV will idle with the Yodeck splash screen but progress no further. We got it over 3 years ago when we started our business and it remains the first thing we turn on in the morning when we open - we use it every day. Running on Raspberry PI was no issues, and the whole setup was done in less than 30 minutes.We can quickly edit our signage, set up layouts that work with our corporate branding, and also use widgets to display news and weather to our visitors. Compared to other systems, I must say that this is a very potent solution that fit our small business perfectly. Scaling it up would be no issue since the management interface is very sleek. Cons There is a slight learning curve to the layout designing which might scare a casual user. However, in cases where we felt that we couldn't produce what we required in Yodeck we simply create the slide in Photoshop and upload that and push it to our players, which works very well.
