Pros is simple to setup, inexpensive and easy to manage. There isn't much of a learning curve with the Yodeck user interface and purchasing the players (we upgraded from the free players to the 4gb version for a nominal charge) from Yodeck is a plus and a must if you don't want to fool with setup. When I got my players, all I had to do was plug them into the screens, power them on and register them. Yodeck added our wifi settings and named the devices so that was great and meant a few less steps for me. Getting the content setup and figuring out scheduling, layouts, etc. was a breeze using the Yodeck tutorial videos. And when I did run into an issue, their online chat support was there to walk me through the solution quickly. There's really no negatives with Yodeck! Cons It took me a few trys to get the scheduling to work the way I needed it to. I just didn't understand exactly how it worked. But after a few tries and watching the tutorial, I got it to work and now it's working seamlessly for us. Being able to post graphics and announcements across campus and in our offices allow us to take our branding and visibility to higher levels than before! Cons The video side could be improved. I imagine that over time I will grow to use many more assets of the digital display, especially with all the positive comments I have received from family, friends, neighbors, etc... who have seen it in use and have asked questions about how it works. Pros I have been very happy with their available video tutorials to walk you through each step you can think of. I was originally trying to setup the calendar with an unused Amazon Fire Stick and was very happy to see how easier it was with the player, not to mention that it was preloaded with all information including wifi credentials to truly be plug and play. Cons I only have 1 really con to this point. That is that the player doesn't seem to like to automatically connect to my google account. So whenever, the internet or power cuts out I have to manually do it by bringing over a keyboard and mouse. I have tried to mess with my google security settings to allow it, to no luck thus far. Also, just a small note that trying to login with an @ symbol for email apparently has a different keyboard location in the UK than in the US, but once you realize that it is no issue. User management is relatively simple and right management and assignments are easy to delegate. Cons We were most looking forward to integration with Canva, and although it is supported in , not all features are yet available - namely the ability to have a Canva slideshow automatically play on your displays. Cons Some times the Pi can get a bit out of sync with the TV and produce the slides with thick black borders, but after a restart of the Pi it normally fixes it. Maybe more of a hardware issue. Yhe product is very lightweight but very powerful. Being able to develop your own apps or even develop your own internal websites that can be displayed on the players, along with being able to run scripts on webpages to automate login to pages is a very nice touch. It does make management of the platform on a day to day basis very easy. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a new digital signage platform. Pros The fact that it is a cloud based platform really works well for us. Due to not being reliant on a central publisher located in a DC, the management of the platform can be done from anywhere. With integrations for SSO from Azure AD, this also provides security and RBAC access from our existing estate without the need to manage individual users and groups in the application. Having Raspberry Pi's run the content displays is a nice touch too, as they are cheap to replace should one fail and using Micro SD cards to install the OS on is also really handy as these can be rebuilt in minutes should there be a problem with the player. There are a large number of widgets available out of the box, but being able to create your own is also really handy too. This way we can build a generic widget for a certain task, then just keep re-using it for different sites. Cons As with any new products, there are a few teething issues. These are mainly down to widgets needing to be developed to allow certain functionality. However, tech support are very prompt and very helpful, so can't really say this is a down point. Having share content and playlist etc makes moving display content from screen to screen so much easier. We have had one or two issues with SD cards getting corrupted but I don't think that is a issue so much as their rather inherent sensibility to crashes. Pros The ease of setup and use. The free single display option helped us get a long trial period running. Use of basic hardware helps as it's easily replaced. I would like to see the android client be more user friendly. Cons While the UI has improved it would be nice to see some improved file handling abilities and drag and drop for folders etc. Reason for choosing Yodeck Ease of use, decent prices and ability to expand at our own pace. It's only a few dollars per month per screen, they included the hardware, and they provided personalized setup and support. There's really nothing to complain about! We have only had one potential point of confusion, and the company listened to our concern and took it seriously. We have no doubt that YoDeck is looking into it and will address things appropriately as needed. There are lots of plug-ins to make the signage work with various software, they have a great selection of templates and animations, and there are so many ways to turn tvs/screens/monitors into displays through hardware options or YoDeck apps in various app stores. We'd highly recommend trying YoDeck first! Pros The whole experience of getting set up is as easy as it can be! Our company chose an annual plan, which included free hardware for running our digital signage. It arrived with all of the software pre-installed and configured, so we only had to plug it into the tv and turn it on! It even had our network credentials already set up and ready to go. Once it arrived, their support team scheduled a personalized one-on-one conference call with us to walk us through how to use their web software for running the signage and sent us helpful links and contact info for future inquiries. I feel like they really went above and beyond! Cons I mostly don't have anything I don't like. The only small feedback that I gave is that there seems to be confusion with date and time input when it comes to scheduling content times. I might want content to display from Jan 1 to Dec 31 between 9am and 5pm, but some screens and support reps interpret that as running non-stop from Jan 1 at 9am until Dec 31 at 5pm, while other understand that we mean daily from Jan 1 until Dec 31 with content starting each day at 9am and ending at 5pm. We did already relay this concern/potential confusion to YoDeck and they said they are taking a look at it to ensure that everything works as intended, and it may possibly have just been confusion or miscommunication on the part of tech support about how the related software screens work. Pros Ease of use, constant improvements, Scheduling, media time out, Editing uploaded media, Access for anywhere on the planet. I have updated a screen n the UK from South Africa. Absolutely Brilliant. Cons The Scheduling does confuse me at time. Particularly the Turn off and on timing. Aligning Text in the Layout can also be a bit of a pain. Also when you try to leave a screen with out saving you don't get the option to save but have to cancel what you want to do then save then exit again. Also the save option Can be at the bottom of some screens and and the top of others. So you have to go looking for it. Irritating but not a show stopper. Reason for choosing Yodeck I have tried others but they were cumbersome to use and limited trial periods etc. For the charities and small business I support it is fantastic. We had given access to Yodeck for our Marketing department who required very minimal training on how to use it. This solution has allowed our business to advertise ourselves and make announcements throughout our buildings so our employees and visitors always know what's going on. I shut down one and re-used the SIM card in new hardware. And it would not come back online without a 2nd person to read the display to so that I could tie the new hardware to the old SD Card. And regain remote control/access.
