" July 31, 2023 5.0 There are no actual manuals and descriptions other than fast-speaking videos. The videos do not explain everything. When contacting customer service, I was made to feel like an idiot and referred to the videos without my question being answered AFTER already stating, "I WATCHED THE VIDEOS." I am thankful I have a patient intern studying cyber investigation and IT support. Also, it took two shipments to get the correct power sources. I was leery; however, I have been pleasantly surprised since, at the screen management, the support, not so much. Pros The cost is very affordable, and it does close to what I wanted any screen management to do. Maybe it does exactly, but it is a bit cumbersome to figure out without a computer science degree. I am working through in time and slowly figuring out the capabilities. Cons There are no actual manuals and descriptions other than fast-speaking videos. The videos do not explain everything. Reason for choosing Yodeck I liked the capabilities it explained, the reviews were better than the rest overall, the price was best, and the ability to eventually link worship service and emergency prompts is what we were looking for. After close to a year of use, that sentiment has not wavered. Pros What do I like best about Yodeck? It really is the complete package! We've seen the features and possibilities grow. I haven't used anything that is as easy to set-up or manage and being so accessible for a single TV solution. If you grow and want additional TV's you start using a subscription which is fairly priced. Pros The ease of use and being fully in control of the content of you're TV's Cons A mobile app, which makes you able to control or make quick changes per TV. Reason for choosing Yodeck I did look if there's a solution which can be centralised in you're own environment, which is being able to stream to multiple TV's through Airplay of Chromecast. Thanks to the highly scalable structure of the system, not only can small individual solutions be created, but customers with multiple locations and company departments can also be wonderfully supplied. We are currently working on connecting the shops of several petrol stations to our system built with Yodeck. The test operations for this are already running extremely promisingly. Pros The fact that each individual display can be provided with individual content or combined into groups and locations ensures that a wide range of solutions can be implemented. The schedules and playlists are a particularly powerful tool for delivering the right content to the right place at the right time. With yodeck this is solved much more efficiently than we know from other systems. User roles and work areas make it possible for technically less experienced people to provide content for the displays without jeopardizing the security and functionality of the entire system. Anyone who knows other solutions knows that this cannot be taken for granted. We are happy to now not only be able to use the various possibilities ourselves, but also to have found an extremely interesting new product for our customers. Cons In the beginning, some processes were much more complex, not clearly explained, poorly labeled or misleadingly translated. In addition, some functions that were important to us were missing. However, since the software is continuously being improved, these problems could gradually be resolved, so that Yodeck has now become a powerful tool at a fair price that flexibly adapts to the needs of the users. For digital menu boards, we would like to be able to show and hide content in an animated manner and to move it across the screen with keyframes, a timeline or such. Reason for choosing Yodeck With Yodeck we can not only manage all the settings in the software much more flexibly, but also use our own hardware adapted to the respective situation. Out of the box we were able to design, schedule, and implement our first digital signage playlist within 20 minutes! Pros Remote management is absolutely the best feature of Yodeck! The variety of content types and how easy it is to organize and deploy playlists is a VERY close second. Cons There is very little to not like about Yodeck. I can schedule all sorts of mixed content in a series of display screens using playlists. I can use my iPhone to quickly change layouts. It just does everything I need, at a price I can afford. Perfect! Cons I have no complaints with Yodeck. There have been times when I had a use case that I thought it could not address. I reached out to support and they showed me how to do it. Awesome! I am only familar with a few other digital signage systems, and this one is by far the easiest I have worked with. There are videos and docs available for learning the different features, and they are always adding new things to it, so I only see it getting better over time. Pros Pros of the YoDeck. It's cloud managed so changes can be made on any device from anywhere you have internet. Our use case is fairly simple, as we use it primary as a digital signage and announcement system to push information about upcoming events and things to various TVs and devices throughout the church.The interface is pretty straight forward use, responsive and did not take to long to figure out. Cons Cons: Pricing tiers / structure - these can be somewhat confusing as to what is available in each "pricing" tier. Some of what I think are the more useful items, like tagging of media for dynamic playlists, is only available in the higher priced tiers, which for some HoWs / NPs could get costly, especially if they are providing their own equipment. Since implementing 3 years ago we've saved hundred hours in OSHA training. Cons The one thing I dislike is the WiFi key is in clear text under Network for the player. This should be encrypted.The other is being able to pull reports on all the monitors and their configurations. I have been using Yodeck for several years now and have found it to be cleanly set up and intuitive. They also keep brining updtaes to the sytem which is great to have. Some of my favorite features are the apps. Cons When there is an error uploading new content to the screen it doesnt explain what went wrong it just says it didnt work. i then need to try to figure it out with trila and error. i wish it would be clearer what the issue was. It happens rarley though. February 27, 2024 5.0 After setting up, I am confident that my display is working, secure, monitored daily by Yodeck and allows me to remotely change when needed. Pros After figuring set up, it was smooth sailing to get my digital display showcasing my playlist filled with content to attract people to our store. Now I can manage the content remotely and check in whenever the activity of each monitor I have attached a Yodeck player to. Their plans are affordable and dashboard easy to use. I can conveniently change content online whenever needed and ensure the content is displayed properly without needing to physically be in front of the screen. The demo was quick and easy. The customer support is great. The monitor has been active every day and their system even alerts me for any inconsistencies when a monitor is offline more than usual, which was awesome. Cons It was a bit tricky to figure out setting up the Yodeck player onto a monitor, but I now understand how it works with information from their knowledge base to use the correct settings. It's unfortunate they will be increasing their pricing soon, but that inevitable due to inflation. Overall, there is not much to dislike as it is straight forward once you complete the set up properly. Nothing has malfunctioned so far and I hope this can be a long term solution. We have struggled in the past to get everything that needed to be displayed on our screens in a way that didn't require people to sit and watch forever for the thing they needed to come back up. Now we can schedule content that is applicable for right now and have other content hidden until the right time! Pros I have helped multiple companies set up digital signage solutions. I have tried multiple products and found that Yodeck is by far the best I have used. The interface is very user friendly and everything works very consistantly. If you have a lot of screens, it can add up. But they also have the option to use the entire system for free with one screen. That's a great way to try it out without any risk! I love that the whole thing can be manged from the web. Cons About the only complaint I can think of is that I struggled to get some of the app plugins to work as they should. I am just now deploying it at my school district, so far we have 20 players, but that will grow fairly quickly. Pros Super easy to deploy. Super easy to sit someone who has never touched digital signage in front of the dashboard and start having them upload content on their screens. The documentation is very thorough, and the Youtube videos are very valuable. Cons Every once in a while I get a player out of the box that gets messed up during the initializing process and have to re-image the microsd card. Everything works fine after that. When my current employer asked me who we should switch to since our current system isn't supported anymore, I had them switch to yodeck. We can display anything we want now. Pros It was very easy to set up Yodeck to display the web page that contains our digital directory, plus a video slideshow and audio background track. Web interface is exactly what we needed to be able to make changes to the page and push them out to the player whenever needed. Cons The only downside originally was finding where to remotely reboot the player, but even that is easier to get to now. Using Yodeck really is pretty straightforward. Reason for choosing Yodeck Gave a look at OptiSigns, but was referred to Yodeck by a friend who loves it. As soon as we saw the interface and features, we felt we didn't need to look any further.
