Being able to delegate specific content/screens to different teams is fantastic, and allowing those content creators and managers to define everything through a single web interface is a much better solution than the hodge-podge of solutions we have used before in other areas. My clients know that they can simply shoot me a message and have me instantly update the content on the screens. They also do not have to worry about turning on and off their screens which they love. Pros What I am happy about the most is the fact that I can remotely update the screens and that there is a preview of what is playing on the screens. Having that confirmation that the content that is running is up to date and correct gives me peace of mind. Cons I did have a some issues installing the player and having the screens link to the wifi as well as having the screens follow the on/off schedule I set. However, I did reach out to customer service and he was able to assist me in a timely manner. We tried different digital signage options and they all had severe limitations for what we needed to use it for. Yodeck has not been limited in any way for us. Pros The majority of what is offered is useful, from different media display types and options, to flexibility of scheduling rotating playlists. The remote management ability allows you to create and edit playlists from anywhere, so you can design and create when the moment strikes, versus having to wait until you are on-site to do so. Cons There is not really any negatives in our use case for Yodeck. It has served our needs very well since we began to use it. Pros Once you learn how to set everything up, it is really easy to manage and update playlists and media to remote locations. Very low cost per screen compared to competitors and It does exactly what I want it to do. While I'm not an edge case user, it does everything that I need it to do at a low cost. Cons Sometimes the interface isn't as snappy as I'd like as far as viewing and updating and learning current status of screens, but I have pretty high expectations as an interface designer... That's what you get with remote management in general. Reason for choosing Yodeck Best value and had all features we wanted. Liked the RPi implementation vs chromecast or other proprietary. It is cost effective, efficient, and fun! Pros I am thankful for Yodeck's ease of use. I can manage all my content and playlists efficiently and effectively. Cons The only thing I can complain about is that it took me so long to stumble across Yodeck. I wasted so much time with other products that didn't fit my needs. I wish I had Yodeck sooner! Will recommend this to anyone who has the need for such a product. Pros Easy to use product, compared to others I've looked at when we needed such a product. We have these deployed on our factory floor, where the environment is hot and dirty, and the players have kept on ticking. They're Raspberry Pi computers in industrial cases, so the devices can be repurposed if we no longer use their service or upgrade to a newer unit. Cons Can be a little confusing with adding documents to the playlist or a certain player, but that may be the nature of the kinds of things we're showing on our displays. Review Source ME Maxi E. Preparing for Events and sheduling Playlists is pretty awesome Pros Lots of Plugins and Apps - and lots of Updates. Very lightweight, works on any Raspberry Pi 3 and newer, so very power efficient. Unlimited Upload Space, 4K Option Cons A few things: you need to pay for another channel if you want to show the same Content on another TV, so you need to get some network or HDMI Splitter between those two. Transitions between layouts - are hopefully in the working. What more could you want in a world of marketing where you are trying to get information out there quickly and as fast and clean as possible? Pros Yodeck is a VERY EASY platform to use. It walks you through the process in a step-by-step feature. We use Yodeck to display marketing throughout our hospital. We also use the platform to advertise upcoming events in the system, or educational events being sponsored by our physicians. It is so easy to upload and display content throughout ALL of our clinic locations! I use Yodeck frequently to keep the community, patients, and staff updated. Cons I do not think there is a downfall to using Yodeck. I haven't had any trouble utilizing the platform. It's very easy and straight forward. I am not one to give full marks on reviews, I am naturally a critical person. But Yodeck earned this one. Pros 1\. Very customisable screen layout 2. Can run scripts when loading webpages to navigate or login! 3. Extremely reliable setup due to running on rasberry pi device instead of smart tv app, which I found far less reliable. Cons 1\. I would like a way to send and display notifications/message/alerts to the screen, both manually and via an API. (however, maybe I haven't been able to find that solution in Yodeck yet, there are a lot of apps) 2. the chargebee app needs updating, but that might be the partner's responsibility Switched from [OptiSigns](https://www.capterra.com/p/173450/OptiSigns/) I couldn't login to the sites I needed to to display dashboards, and the price. Pros I love that I can change up what my layout is at any time, from anywhere. Cons If I do make changes, I can't just preview from right before the new slide, I need to watch the entire slideshow. Customer support is awesome and the platform works better than expected. Pros We started with another platform that was based on the Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately, we ran into issues with scheduling and customer support was non existent. With the Yodeck, customer support reached out before we even had the unit and has been available any time we needed it. The scheduling takes effect immediately and overall we are just very happy with this product. Cons I have yet to find something about this platform that I do not like honestly. Pros Yodeck is simple and intuitive to get started. We had no training on digital signage and were able to get signage up for five locations with ease. Cons The hardware provided by Yodeck is ok and does the job, but we've had some issues with the sd card getting bricked. Just be careful when making manual edits, use the online tool when you can. Pros Yodeck is by far the most streamlined signage system I've ever worked with. The Dashboard is clean and organized, the status details of online monitors and their locations is a great asset, and best of all, when they say "free", they really mean "free" - no late surprise upcharges. It's easy to upload your content, a piece of cake to get a playlist setup, and there are lots of great in-depth features like their App gallery. It integrated seamlessly onto my Amazon Fire Sticks, and run continuously. Cons None! I wish I had started with Yodeck, rather than wasting my time with another "free" platform, that changed their mind and decided to start charging me out of the blue! A rep from Yodeck called me even before I got the players and then helped get to me even faster. But what is best is how easy the software is to use. The last provider we had was with MoodMedia and the interface was built of these frames that if you accidentally moved something, the whole screen changed and you had to figure out where your stuff went. Cons so far, nothing. We've only been using it a few weeks. April 15, 2023 5.0 Yodeck helps us keep teams in three office locations in sync by conveying messaging that is consistent but also relevant to the teams who see the screens. Before Yodeck we had no way to easily convey special offers for our team members to promote to customers without using email and we can also have fun with the signage - adding team members' birthdays to the screens and changing the look to match Easter, Halloween and Christmas for example. Pros The platform is easy to use, giving us control of a wide range of features through a straightforward and well designed interface that makes even complex tasks a breeze. Cons There is nothing we dislike about Yodeck, there are things that would work differently - one thing that comes to mind is that changing the order in which screens appear doesn't seem to be something I can work out how to do.
