Good media options and apps to provide additional connected content, and the fact that it is free to use on a single screen is a huge benefit for our fledgling charity. We plugged it in and then was able to display our custom content within minutes. The dashboard is easy to navigate and the help articles are well written. We had to contact support only once and the issue was resolved with one chat in under 20 minutes. I use for both my entertainment and education needs and would suggest it. Cons I am unsure I can find a con about now. We have been happy with all aspects, and it works for our needs. They have replaced the old-style bulletin boards for daily coming events. We also use it to promote lesser know services found on our website. I find that fresh content works best and keeping the timelines to 60 - 90 seconds with individual frames set at 7 seconds for images, and 10 seconds for mp4s. Pros is great for us. We have 5 monitors scattered throughout our building and can all be monitored from my office or from home when need be. It has a great interface, easy to use and understand. It has great flexibility and options for layouts that can be assigned to individual monitors. Very easy to upload images and videos. Very user friendly with constant updates and tips which are appreciated. Cons Needs a larger bank of Apps (widgets). I would like more setting options in those apps. Pros First, customer support has been great and they have been receptive to recommendations. We were already using Pis for our digital signage built in house, and their platform allows us to present a professional product to our clients.Our facility is 55k sqft, with 1000s of guests per day that need directional signage. Being able to update as we receive feedback, and implement immediately keeps us nimble. The scheduling tool gives us the opportunity to market significantly better than our previous static display. There are lots of built-in templates to get you started, but it can also accept content imported from other methods like pictures, Powerpoints, PDFs and Canva. It is quick to refresh and push out new content to screens. The customer support have been quick to respond to queries. I also recommend reading the Yodeck Documentation page as it is really helpful. Cons The 1GB Pi sometimes struggles/lags when there are multiple apps in your playlist, so I would recommend the 2GB or higher version if you want more complex graphics. Also, it's affordable to start if you just have one or few screens. Pros I love that I was able to create an affordable digital signage screen using my existing Raspberry Pi hardware. With this setup, I have a easy to carry solution which I can connect to any screen, anywhere! I also love that has seamless integration with Walls.io, which allows to display Social Media content easily. Cons The only downside I find is that upload large video files can take a fair bit of time and get stuck on processing for a while.
