May 7, 2024 5.0 Overall experience has been pleasurable and consistent with ease of use being the overall major selling point. Other brands pretend to be "better than" Yodeck but I have yet to see that true. Keep up the great work Yodeck! Pros Ease of use; both equipment and Interface. Price is affordable, great customer service and intuitive daily use features. Cons Sometimes some of our monitors reset. Not sure if it has anything to do with Yodeck or not. Lead AV Tech Entertainment Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "User Friendly" October 17, 2022 5.0 Other than some hiccups with initially receiving our players, and again with ordering some more, we have enjoyed using Yodeck a lot. It's easily accessible from any internet connected device, updates and changes can be seen within a minute on the screens, they were very easy to install, and have very user-friendly software that is updated a lot. Out of our 30 players we have only had two that began to crash and with a simple software flash we had them back up and running in about an hour and they have had no problems since. Pros We integrated Yodeck into our arena quickly and easily. From set up to daily updates and changes, it has been a very easy system to use. Adding graphics, changing schedules, building layouts are all very easy to do compared to other media players we have tried and if we have had any problems they are very quick to respond. Cons There were a few issues at first with their software being user friendly, but they are constantly updating and almost everything I had a problem with at first has been fixed. The scheduling can take some time to get used to, and the way the stored media is displayed when building a playlist can get sloppy. Review Source CB Christie B. Their customer support is amazing and helps you get any problem solved in a short amount of time. They support various devices for maximum flexibility in our organization. Cons The media/layout editor can be annoying, and while it is user friendly, it is a bit too simple and you are better off using a PowerPoint or image slideshow for most use cases. You can configure the players settings so that it just works when you receive it. All you have to do is plug it into your display. Cons The only con is the slight learning with the platform. We wanted a kiosk style with daily changing information using pictures/slides to tell the story. Our user wants to know what activities are happening each day and what food choices will be served that day. If your system worked with Google Calendar, we could have set up the playlists better. We need to get info out on a rotating monthly basis (ie first Monday of the month) and a six week rotation. We created images for both areas, then put them in playlists, then schedule them. Currently the way your scheduling works, it takes a bit more work to set up. Once we did the labor intensive part of set up, it overall works pretty well for us. Pros We like the ability of putting images/pictures into a daily playlist and being able to schedule them. A picture tells our story well. Cons The set up seemed redundant in the way we use it. Another minor con was the way and timing we would get a specific-to-us answer. We are in the US, Central Standard Time. I don't believe the person responding to our Yodeck questions was on the same time and we could only respond via email. We did get answers and everything worked out in the end. Reason for choosing Yodeck We chose Yodeck because of price and function. We can choose how the slide/playlist looks for each day and can schedule the information in advance. Review Source BD Brad D. I can post a colleague's advertisement to a playlist on a particular screen, with a scheduled range of dates for that particular ad, in only 2-3 minutes. Yodeck handles pdfs and multiple image formats, plus I can display live webpages. I scroll our daily newsletter posted online with one screen and cycle through image-based advertisements on another. Cons Sometimes our displays have failed to see the raspberry pi in an HDMI slot. Troubleshooting requires that you create a new scheduled time for your media to display while you troubleshoot. The process of creating additional schedules to troubleshoot outside of normal "live" timeframes is frustrating. Additionally, video must download to the raspberry pi, so (to my knowledge) you cannot use Yodeck to stream video on a screen. Review Source TM Tamre M. It's a value-add for us Pros Yodeck's functionality allows us to create digital signage to welcome guests and show off product work. We love that we can customize each monitor, access the platform remotely, and schedule content ahead of time. It's made our reception area look professional and is a key part of our first in class guest experience. Cons There have been glitches in the system that were causing one of our monitors to shut off each night, however, none of the other monitors faced this issue. We worked with their tech support team to try to fix it on our end with no success. After a few weeks, it started working again on its own. At the touch of a button I am doing that would have taken hours using paper and staple advertising methods. Pros I work at a small college prep high school, and I advise multiple grade levels and clubs while also teaching three classes. Needless to say my work schedule is exhausting! With all the many campaigns and announcements that I need to have presented to the student body at large, I was immensely relieved when Yodeck was approved for our school this year. The ability to work on our system from anywhere has improved my mobility and flexibility and the system is fantastically responsive. Easy enough for someone who knows Canva to use. Set up was a breeze; If you order players from them, they come pre-configured out of the box with the settings you chose already, so installing is often a matter of plugging into power, plug into TV, and walk away. Seriously. (Labelling could be better) It is also one of the most stable platforms tested as well. Yes, random problems, but the rare occasion they do, most of the time can be rectified remotely unless caused (Unplugged the unit for example.) Pros Easy to use, easy to deploy. Lot of advanced features even in lower plans. You can find if a display has been manually turned off as well, and trigger it back on. Their apps/widgets seem to work well for what we've used. Support and maintenance hours went from ~200hrs/yr to about 40hrs/yr in our situation. Cons Random intermittent single display odd issues. Usually fixable by pushing to the display again after a change. Intermittent being once a month or two. Switched from [ScreenCloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/147087/ScreenCloud/) Product did not feel like a professional, commercial or enterprise product. Constant crashes, updates to FireTV stick would break it, wouldn't auto-start, and no remote support seemed to work. Cost being quite a bit higher with our experience with poor support was our main decision to go elsewhere. January 9, 2024 5.0 Pros The user interface is very easy to use and very flexible, you don't need much pre-existing knowledge to set one up and get a great looking complex sign. We use ours on our reception TV to show upcomming meeting bookings, company events, showcase projects, weather and news. It all looks great and we were able to make great Christmas and Halloween themed dashboards for the holidays! Yodeck is regularly updating it's featureset as well which has been great. It supports 4K so our sign looks very clear, I cant help but notice other companies signs are quite blurry by comparison! Yodeck has given our small firm a more professional impression by having a great looking complex sign on our reception. It is great for meetings with external guests as they come in and see the meeting they are there for up on the schedule as they wait. It showcases our different projects and company culture to visitors and we have gotten a great number of compliments on the sign in particular. We regularly have other companies asking what we use and how to set it up. Cons Can be hard to diagnose issues sometimes regarding crashes or black screens, though this could be an issue with our Raspberry Pi. We have resolved these issues however. Pros I love how easy it is to get up and running and how many features it has. The support is also awesome! I have asked questions and have answers back in less than an hour. I have brought forward issues and again the Yodeck team has been fantastic at fixing them. Cons I would love it if more of my team members could put together content, but that's not a Yodeck problem. It's a great way to highlight/motivate the team, while also keeping them informed. We customize messages when customers and/or vendors are visiting our locations. Pros Yodeck is easy to set up and use. We can quickly update the monitors in multiple locations with messaging that is customized to that team and branch. Plus, the multimedia options keep the information fresh and on brand. Cons I can't think of any features that I would like to see that are not currently available. Everything is included with the player to get started. They have even shipped the players earlier than expected, which was great. Pros Creating, adding content, and managing the screens is super easy. Some of the users that will be managing our digital signage are not very tech savvy, so this was a sigh of relief. The system can be as complex as you want, or simple. For the price, I don't think anything beats this, especially since the devices are included with the subscription. Cons At this time, there isn't anything I don't like about this. It is easy to use and deploy. Pros Easy to use and setup, the support team was also helpful when i had a question about unsupported devices that I used and they do not recommend, they still did what they could to help me. Cons Adding time to each individual images or content piece in a rotating playlist can be time consuming, i use the same time length for every image, and i cannot just set up one time limit for all images, but i have to add the same seconds to each image individually. " November 20, 2023 5.0 We wanted to utilize our front lobby TV (where clients sit and wait for their appointments) in some sort of compelling way. We wanted to show clients upcoming & past events, team building activities, more information on our firm, awards, daily inspirational quotes, holidays/birthdays, team pets, past charity events, etc. So many of our clients compliment us on how informative our slides are. Yodek made it so easy to do all of that. Pros Yodek is super easy to use and very user friendly. We have used it five days a week for the past year now and have barely had any issues. There are so many great features and options to choose from (weather, social media linking, news, date/time, set and forget, and many more). Yodek has truly transformed our front lobby into a much more interesting and welcoming place for our clients. As a brokerage firm, the stock ticker is a fantastic widget Yodek offers as well! Cons When we regularly update our Wi-Fi password per regulations, it's a bit of a complicated process to get the Rasbery to reconnect. Also, the weather widget needs rebooted about twice a week as it often shows dates incorrectly.
