I was able to demo this software with an old Raspberry pi 3 with 1g of ram I had laying around. Went to Yodeck's site, found the directions, downloaded the software and installed it. I was up and running in less than 30 minutes. The reason for going digital is we spent thousands of dollars on a stagnant company logo sign. We can purchase a basic 70" TV for around $800 and make this our new signage. Now we can display our company logo, upcoming events, local weather, local news, ect. Pros The ease of use, premade templates, support and lots of video tutorials. I am not a very artsy creative person so the premade templates are a huge value to me. The way the software formats the videos, documents and text is a huge plus and saved me a lot of time. Cons I want the ability to setup security-based templates that I can assign to individual users so they can only make changes to what they are allowed to. Spoke with a sales rep and this is a heavily requested feature that they are currently working on and should be available in the near future. I think there is a lot more to come from this solution as we use it. Pros After looking at several solutions to bring this to the business and Yodeck is pretty good value solution on the whole. It has a lot of functionality including Sharepoint integration which we plan to use in one of the locations. Cons It can be a little cumbersome I find when you first start out. Trying to find your way around the playlists you have created etc they also sent all the boxes to one location when I place two separate orders for different locations. I have every TV running smooth and any problem I have had the support team was able to help me resolve the issue. Pros I love being able to upload my own pictures and slideshows to have them presented how I want them. It is pretty easy to navigate through files I have uploaded and change any playlists or displays on my TV's. The support team is also extremely helpful and in a very timely manner. Cons Not many cons of Yodeck. If I had to put something, it would maybe just be to be able to move files from folder to folder easier, or a bulk move/edit/delete option. Super easy to create content once you get accustomed to the interface. Most importantly, it is reliable and cost effective. Pros Yodeck has been a reliable and relatively easy to use solution to our need for a lobby screen at our office. While it does have a little bit of a learning curve, once you get used to it, it works great. The ability to push to a raspberry pie unit attached to the TV and not have to go reset it all the time is really nice. Cons Some of the UI seems clunky and the way it handles videos takes a minute to get used to. I can schedule the moment I find out and simply move on with my day without any reminders. The multi-media is a must and the playlist make it simple to stream multiple things when it is needed. Cons I truly cannot think of many cons. I often put Client Logos in Yodeck, sometimes they look grainy. This is typically due to having to edit background out of photos. What a gift that we can designate a PC to play content that goes into our stream! Pros Pricing is affordable, especially with a non-profit discount. Yodeck is easy for staff and volunteers to use. Ability to pull content from Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc. makes changing content MUCH easier than it used to be. Cons Management interface is slightly confusing, especially the way that the layouts, playlists, schedules & content interface with one another. Better naming might reduce confusion. April 4, 2024 5.0 We use Yodeck at our church to update large monitors in our common, chapel Hall area. The screens were installed after a major renovation to that area. The Raspberry Pi device (which we also obtained via Yodeck) is kept in the secure server closet connected to an HDMI matrix switcher. The software is easy to use and adapt to meet our growing needs. One of the major benefits is that we can embed Google Slides into our standard wrapper. That affords our ‘less technical’ volunteers the chance to keep our content fresh without ever needing to directly access the Yodeck system. Of all the solutions for digital signage we vetted, Yodeck came out as our best choice and we have not been disappointed. Pros SaaS without the need to install software. The fact that we can use Google Slides as our core content area which is easy to update and keep fresh Cons The learning curve on layouts was a bit of a learning curve. Super simple, very effective, does exactly what I want, and more. Pros After spending far too long trying to run a series of NOC screens in our technical department using computers, web browsers, extensions, hacky scripts... we were reccomended Yodeck by a partner. It looked great, and the pricing was really reasonable, so we went for it. I wish we'd tried it earlier - I had the old solution completely replaced, with a much easier, more visually appealing, and more reliable solution within an afternoon. It was so easy to build, it could be done by just about anyone. Plenty of apps and integrations to suit all your needs. I have no idea what Yodeck's customer support is like - we havn't needed it, but if it is anything like the documentation, it will be excellent. If you're reading this, I assume you're interested in yodeck. Stop reading, go try it. Cons No major issues - waiting for the devices to ship to us felt like a long time, but in reality they were shipped quickly by Yodeck and only held up by our mail service.
