April 22, 2024 5.0 Pros It's easy-to-use interface is the #1 perk that sold us. I can't stress how easy it was to setup our presentation. The content layouts are extremely helpful in getting started, and I like how there's many types of apps that will integrate with your presentation. Cons I have no complaints this far with the product. First off, the hardware is inexpensive. Screens are powered by a single Raspberry Pi and they are silent, generate very little heat and very energy efficient. If you purchase the units from Yodeck with your subscription, there's a nice promo to get free units. Secondly, the web interface is easy to use and also acessible from anywhere. I don't have to dismantle my screens to make updates. Everything is seemless. The features such as layouts and playlists work pretty well. Most of our content is streamed online from YouTube, Vimeo and others so it's easy. The videos are also cached so even when the internet goes down, it continues working. Best of all, I like the schedules. I don't have to worry about turning my screens on and off. I have had Yodeck subscription for a year now and they have worked flawlessly. Cons For the most part, FAQ's and online videos are pretty helpful in getting started but it is a little harder to get the live customer support. Reason for choosing Yodeck After extensive research, we wanted to give a try to because of how cheap the price was and it was worth the risk of trying. We are very happy now. I have had to reach out to support a couple times and they were always responsive. Pros The ease of implementation and the annual licensing cost was very attractive. The sign management interface is clean and easy to understand. I like that you can use your own hardware or if you pay annually the provide it for free. Cons Only place I would improve would be on the scheduling side. Separate the date and time files since if you are running it perpetually the date is not necessary in that field. It does create some confusing when setting the schedule. The devices on Raydiant were much more expensive as well. Switched from [Skykit](https://www.capterra.com/p/150630/Skykit/) Much better interface and Skykit does not have a good real-time preview options. Very easy to implement and very easy to maintain. Pros It was very simple to put into practice. Very easy to get into with current Raspberry Pi infrastructure and then scale up as necessary. Upon getting in the hardware was easy to setup, very easy to turn on, and worked straight out of the box. Currently it is simple to change slides, get information up in a timely manner, and the simple marketplace of apps makes it simple to connect with the many information silos we have! Cons There was a bit of a learning curve with the silos of information to upload to and use. The dashboard could be streamlined a bit...feels clunky moving between the different silos of information... Reason for choosing Yodeck Ease for the money. Most options for the cheapest cost. Pros Easy changes to all monitors throughout our locations in a matter of minutes. Cons Manual WiFi add on the device can sometimes be difficult and take time, but does configure this automatically before shipping out the products but if changes are needed after delivery it can cause some reconfiguring manually. Reason for choosing Yodeck First device was "free" with no monthly and noticed how easy it was to use, began getting lots more of the devices and subscribing yearly for the service because the product "JUST WORKS" with no issues overall. Easy to create custom layouts, and deploy them to any devices I have setup on the account. Cons Web scripting because it's out of my realm. (to yodecks credit their tech support was able to get things working for me!) Wish list item, probably a dream really, would be a web page script editor that worked as effortlessly as the rest of the website, something that allows the script illiterate to click to create actions on webpages they would like displayed on their decks.
