Pros I am mainly very happy that the product is free to use when you only make use of 1 monitor (at the moment). The free account helps you to get a feel for how things work without a hefty investment in equipment. The support for even free accounts was better than I had expected. Cons That I couldn't get more than 1 account for free. (This is a joke, one is more than enough to get a feel for it!) Very easy to update at any time and from anywhere. Pros When we began using this option a few years ago, there were not many options. has come a long way and improved many widgets for automation. We can build professional-looking displays in all of our locations. The interface is very easy to use and anyone can update the displays as needed. Scheduling the displays to update based on date and time is a must. Love all the options that are available. You can customize any digital signage with Yodeck! Cons devices seem to get overheated if placed directly behind a TV with little ventilation. Not really a limitiation, just a note to keep them from powering off unexpectedly. Once the hardware was set up, it was a matter of assigning the schedule and content to the device and it has just worked perfectly since then. Pros \- The generous free tier. Cons The only downside I've had is the video playback sync, it just doesnt work for us and ended up displaying the content on one screen. The rest is quality. If you want to run one video over multiple screens then the timing is likely to get you frustrated. Managers fumbling with USB drives, proprietary players when die have to buy another for $250 etc, i can create a player with raspberry Pi imager anytime i have an issue and have back running in 10 mins. For network issues I install Kasa smart plugs so all i have to do is powercycle the outlet and boom, back online every single time! It is reliable, easy to use, easy to setup and if just using a single screen it is free! In my previous school I used a raspberry pi with a monitor, in my current school I use the chrome exetension on a SFF PC attached to a screen. Both work equally as well! Pros So easy to set up and use. More importantly - takes very little time to update content when needed. Cons I cannot think of anything I don't like about using . The ability to use different media formats within one presentation makes it very user friendly. Within the admin dashboard all content is accessible and all devices can be reviewed within a few moments. The ability to schedule specific content for specific screens makes it pretty easy to stay on track to show what is needed and when it is needed. November 1, 2019 5.0 We upload the latest news videos from youtube for our industry. we also use it to play product videos as well as sales videos to help promote our products and sales. We have even made some animated logos to go between each video for our company. Pros Its so easy to setup and use, simply drag and drop any videos you need and upload them to the server, their server then verifies that it is a usable format if not then it will automatically convert it to a usable format that Yodeck recognizes. you can even customize schedules by location. we have 2 stores and both stores have different hours. We have the Sorry we are closed sign pop up when we close by time wise and it helps to get those last minute customers finished up, we have even loaded up some music to help our staff close and clean the store each night. Easily add Banners and even custom tikcer tapes to any of your screens. play videos and slides with ease. you can even set when a video or sale should expire and when new sales start if you are ahead of the game and have them made up already. Cons I only wish there were more widgets and not just graphical widgets. I wish that there was a ability to have closed captioning with uploaded videos as well so people across the room can see and read what is being said on the videos that we upload. not even sure if this is possible but it would be a nice addition.
