Pros The cost was the most beneficial thing for us when we switched to Yodeck away from a more expensive solution. The easy hardware solution using readily available Raspberry Pis has been a great benefit for us as well. The web software has been surprisingly powerful and I've generally been able to accomplish any idea our team has come up with. Cons We occasionally have issues with hardware, but I'm using off the shelf Raspberry Pis and not the Yodeck supplied hardware. Reason for choosing Yodeck Cost and ability to emplement quickly and easily was the biggest factor in deciding to proceed with Yodeck. Pros I tried it because in my institute it was necessary to solve the problem of making information and content accessible to our students. After a few minutes I was already able to project the contents, after a day I had already created my playlist, now after a month, the testing has finished and I consider this system adequate for our needs. Started looking into this, and it is now our go to for digital signage for companies that don't already have something like Zoom. If they are using anything other than Zoom, we are moving them to yodeck due to its ease of use and robust feature set. August 23, 2023 5.0 In our environment, we use Yodeck to show our 'announcements' in a rolling loop in our welcome area. The date/time parameters allows me to setup graphics and elements far ahead of time, and know that they will only be displayed during the appropriate time. The web-based interface is great. Easy to upload, arrange, and understand. Pros I most appreciate the easy to use interface. My Yodeck came pre-configured with my wifi information. The setup was extremely fast and easy. Adding images, setting date parameters, and setting up my first playlist was quick and easy. Setting up additional playlists was also straightforward. During a funeral service we used the Yodeck to show the families slideshow (a video file) during the service in our welcome area. Cons I have yet to find anything I don't like about Yodeck. We can schedule everything remotely, which has been incredibly convenient. There was a time when we had to go to each monitor individually to change the play list so I really can't say enough about the convenience of scheduling things remotely. The screens are so easy to customize for different times or events and we aren't even utilizing all that Yodeck has to offer yet. It truly is a great product and an asset to our organization. Pros I love the convenience of scheduling different programming at different times on different days on different screens throughout our facility. Scheduling is very easy. Pros It easy to love the ease of use of Yodeck; from building content, to previewing content, to scheduling, to fine-tuning configurations, to publishing to one or many monitors simultaneously. All on a super simplistic Raspberry Pi platform. Cons As the product matures, I would like to see more functionality from Widgets provided to deliver specific signage functionality. Adding content remotely is a game changer. Tech support, when needed has been incredibly responsive and helpful. They have never left me following up looking for a response. We have faced issues in playing youtube videos or live stream from OTT platforms like Hotstar or Netflix in screens. 02. Also, I'm a customer from India and no Indian Bank cards work in yodeck payment gateway. Netbanking option is also not avaible. 03. There should be a low priced package for business units which have smaller operations, or in a single location. Doing this can tap in a lot of customers for yodeck in Indian Market. We've been able to change the content on our screens without hassle several times in the few months we've used it. Cons There are a lot of tabs in the user interface that we have never used. It has a lot of utility, but it can be overwhelming when first logging in. April 6, 2022 5.0 Yodeck has been a game changer for our organization. The features and capabilities you receive for the price is the best we have seen in the digital signage space. Pros I am very familiar with various technology and the software is easily implemented and very user friendly. Even if you are not as technologically inclined the setup and maintenance is very straightforward. The main reason we went with yodeck is due to the remote management which streamlines new content across all of our locations. Cons I found the transitions between content on the screens to be a bit choppy. We now upload a single powerpoint converted to mp4 which prevents choppy transitions between slides. Although I believe it was updated since we started with yodeck but I haven't found the need to move away from our current method. Reason for choosing Yodeck We saw numerous competitors at the national food show in 2019 which were geared towards corporate enterprise. Since we only have 4 stores the value to usage needs was not there. I found yodeck while researching digital signage on my own and it fit perfectly with our needs and budget. Moving away from having to create PowerPoint presentations and use shared areas, SharePoint, and USB devices in a physically connected Desktop unit has been massively beneficial to our ability to communicate out important business updates to the team. Pros The ability to login and update content from any of my devices including my iPad and from anywhere, The ease of installation and changing the location of the player due to its portability and the built-in Wi-Fi allows for us to have the option of hotspot should we need to use the player elsewhere. Pros I have a new use-case for this software that is outside the mainstream. For my current beta sights it is going great. I am getting feedback on features. The included widgets provide easy ways to try new things. I look forward to learning more. It was a low-cost way to test out a new solution idea. I haven't looked back! Cons I would like a phone app (IOS and Android) to offer easier remote updates and also give additional customer experiences. It's a little tricky using the website to update content when using from my phone. Reason for choosing Yodeck Needed to find a tool for a entrepreneur startup solution. Yodeck was the best overall that did not require a large investment to start Kiosk applications and evaluate them for over 6 months.
