Pros Absolutely love how it just works. The backend is easy with customisable options. Cons The user interface isn't intuitive but like anything, it's getting better. The more the feedback is fed into the system the easier it becomes. (2) I'd love to know if the Yodeck software was up to date and how easy it would be to update the software. Pros It is very easy to set up a basic advertising and information screen Cons The interface is very clunky and it would be better to be able to have a link to 'cloud' based content rather than having to upload images one by one. April 6, 2022 5.0 I am very pleased with Yodeck, and I look forward to working with Yodeck to grow our digital signage business. Pros The Yodeck software was very easy to learn. I started out with some basic functions and increased functions as I learned how to control the many features of the control panel. Cons I loved just about all of the features but if I had to pick my least favorite it would be getting the WiFi to work. It was a little extra work, but we got it working. Reason for choosing Yodeck I was looking for something that was easy to learn, affordable and we could get started right away because our first client was waiting for deployment. Cons A bigger variety of plugins would be nice. We do have weather but more options to customize it. I'm really pleased with the price and features, and I'm looking forward to continuing to use them. Pros It's really affordable and easy to set up. The staff who took us through the tour and setup was very friendly. Cons While it's the best we've tried so far, there is still room for improvement in the UI and navigating the website. Pros If I use this software for something, it is undoubtedly because it is very easy to use and implement. It has the options you need and isn't cluttered with features you'll never use. The support of HDMI-CEC is great. We can turn monitors on and off at certain times based on schedule. Cons We had an issue with a ppt file getting stuck in the encoder and could not get it removed without contacting support. They were very responsive when we contacted them. Yodeck simplified everything and the content we need to display is always in line with our company needs. Pros Yodeck has a great many widgets that help fill in the message board to keep people engaged. Adding content is quite easy and when there isn't a great amount of information being featured, the widgets can be used to fill in that gap so your not displaying the same few screens over and over. This helps keep the message board a vital part of the company messaging system and keeps people ingaged. Cons There were some bumps in the beginning with learning to use the software. Layouts and playlists act very differently. Luckily YOUTUBE videos did guide us in setting everything up. April 29, 2024 5.0 I deal alot in integrating new systems for higher education needs, and this is hands down the easiest group to work with start to finish. The demo was great and thorough, the implementation was flawless, the Raspberry Pi units are incredible, and the functionality is top-tier. Yodeck is an incredible platform, they have an incredible team, and this is the easiest and most user-friendly digital screen platform I have ever had the opportunity to use. Pros Yodeck is the easiest system to setup, whether you are using just a few screens to hundreds. The interface is amazing, and the ways in which you can adapt business needs to each individual screen while still controlling from one computer is unlike anything I've used, and I researched about 12-15 other applications. Cons Absolutely nothing. We have been operational for over a year and its amazing. We have not encountered anything that wasn't able to be figured out via one of the online tutorials. Cons The only thing I had trouble getting used to is that their support seems to be based overseas in Europe, so it's a bit of a chore to remember to ask any questions early so that we can get an answer the same day. Being able to be an administrator of different screens remotely is wonderful. The software has been improving and expanding its possibilities. Cons The only recommendation I would make to the programming team would be the implementation of a web-app optimized for mobile and tablet. I used a raspberry pi, the installation is essentially automatic. Connecting it to your account is done by the now familiar system where you enter the code displayed onscreen. The control over HDMI for turning on and off the screen automatically through a schedule is incredibly useful. Everything just works and even if the poster is left running for weeks it continues to be extremely reliable. Pros Everything is very simple to set up, the interface is clear and robust. You can use a variety of different hardware to create your sign. Cons It would be nice to have a less verbose default when the sign is configuring, booting or loses network. Any issues we have encountered have been resolved with customer support with ease and other than the items not supported by the app, we understand there are limits to what are possible to add and have made it work. Pros Very user-friendly, easy to learn - teach and create. Seemsly able to update and connect as long as connected to ethernet. Everything has been quick and painless once understanding everything YoDeck has to offer. Cons Wifi is not something that works well in our office as it's capped at a certain download speed, which prevents large uploads and/or takes forever to download onto the system. Not Yodeck's fault, but wish there was a way to compress the information (file) and upload it to make it download as it seems to get stuck in the download and never finishes. The only other CON is regarding websites with video the sound doesn't work unless its an approved upload website i.e. Youtube. Wish we would have new stations websites playing live news updates or stream a radio station broadcast. Review Source PF Preston F.
