It was a great find for getting started with multi-screen management. Yodeck’s strength lies in its content management and the fact that you can start with a free account that actually works, which speaks to its excellent value for money. The ability to dynamically display pending tasks while showing high-quality photos of completed projects is a powerful motivational tool for the team. The predefined templates are intuitive, and the player’s functionality is robust; once configured, playback is reliable. Having direct access to integrations with Google and Outlook within the digital signage ecosystem represents a very positive change for our internal communication and messaging.

Cons

The Ease of Use takes a hit when dealing with third-party integrations. I’ve encountered small issues regarding text scaling—content often doesn't auto-fit the screen correctly, resulting in tiny, unreadable text. Overall, amazing. I love things that can make my work life more efficient and productive. Advertising events for college students nowadays, with all the new pressures and time constraints, can be really difficult. Yodeck allows us to centralize messaging in each of our buildings based on content type/unit and students know where to get their info for the really important things, like major events or critical dates related to their experience on campus. We've had the product for years now, and there is no way that someone can do what Yodeck does better. Also, we went with the RasberryPi players from Yodeck, and to be honest that is such an easy route to go, especially if you are buying in large quantities like we did.

Pros

The ease of use is incredible, and it is WAY more intuitive than other solutions we've worked with. We have an enterprise account setup, and I have trained folks from the most tech savvy to the least resourceful, and they all love it. The interface is so easy, and they have been improving things every year as far as performance and integrations. Their tech staff also helped me with a really nuanced question a few years back and were awesome. And not to mention that the cost savings compared to what it would take to print and post similar sized signs and pay the staff to do it is significant, especially with us as a small school...value for the money is a real thing.

Cons

To be honest, very little. There are a few things like having to select date/time functions rather than inputting, but that is a programming thing to ensure there isn't an issue with that input. Literally, that's it, and it's not that big of a deal.

Interface and easy of use, hands down. Implementation was so extremely easy. Other products might have had a fancy feature here or there, but Yodeck just is so simple to use and just flat out does the job at such a high level. We had two different groups simultaneously working on the project to select a product, and we both came to the same result in choosing Yodeck. The other products were good, but we were sold with Yodeck.

It is incredibly cheap compared to other digital signage options, which was a huge win for my budget. However, actually getting the system to work was a headache. Despite its reputation, I found the interface to be confusing, clunky, and far from intuitive. Setting up the hardware, trying to figure out how playlists and schedules sync together, and simply navigating the dashboard felt overly complicated. It took me way longer than it should have just to get a basic image running on my screen. Ultimately, I appreciate the low cost, but the steep learning curve made me question if the savings were worth the initial hassle.

Honestly, I am completely lost when it comes to using Yodeck. Everyone says it’s supposed to be this incredibly intuitive, drag-and-drop digital signage platform, but the moment I log into the dashboard, I feel totally overwhelmed. I don’t understand how to properly link my screens, and the thought of configuring a Raspberry Pi player sounds like a foreign language to me. Navigating through the different widgets, media layers, playlists, and scheduling options just leaves me staring blankly at my monitor. I know there are plenty of tutorials and quick-start guides available online, but right now, the entire interface feels like a complicated puzzle. If you are looking for a digital signage solution that just works - especially if you have a non-standard screen orientation - Yodeck is the way to go. It’s user-friendly, feature-rich, and very robust. I'm able to slim down a lot of functions embedded in my website that is displayed because yodeck has all the features i coded into the page risking its stability. Things like scheduled reloads for example.

Pros

The biggest lifesaver for me was the orientation setup. I struggled for a long time with other systems to get my information screen running in portrait mode (vertical). With Yodeck, it was literally just one click and it worked perfectly. Besides the easy setup, the platform is incredibly stable and reliable. It’s packed with professional features and widgets that you wouldn't expect for free. The fact that they offer one screen for free with full functionality is absolutely amazing. Just some extra functions are only available through licence.

Cons

Honestly, I haven't found any downsides yet. It solved a problem I had for weeks in just a few minutes.

We needed a fast solution to roll out high‑quality, reliable display content on a very tight timeline before our Grand Opening, and Yodeck delivered. We were able to create polished, professional content quickly, and it was easy to integrate information we were already using on other platforms, which saved a lot of time and effort. The system itself is reliable and straightforward to use, and the learning curve was minimal. Their support team was responsive and extremely helpful in getting us set up and comfortable with the platform. On top of the strong functionality, the pricing is very competitive, and the fact that they shipped the equipment to us for free in just two days was a huge bonus. Overall, Yodeck has proven to be the best-value solution for our digital signage needs at US Modules.

Fantastic, the best in the business. Great pricing, reliable and functional software/hardware, easily scalable.

Pros

Value for the money is the top thing, plus the advanced programmability and advanced features. It's easy to setup, change and maintain these systems. I haven't experienced any bugs or issues and their customer service is 10/10 with help for programming apps or making your own integrations. I love yodeck! Building digital signage on Raspberry pi's is a great idea, they are fast, sleek and portable!

Cons

Nothing, this software is perfect. I'd love to see some more cool tool add-ons like Order Calling Systems, Appointment managers and more functional solutions. Intergrating my own appointments system was a bit of a task trying to make the webpage appear properly when I put this in a restaurant, but not Yodeck's fault. If you added these on say for a small fee I think it would be a huge success!

The platform is incredibly easy to set-up and manage. Uploading content is straight forward. The support provided is fantastic and the included emergency alerts features really tops it all off. It is also extremely good value for money compared to other vendors.

Cons

It can be quite simple in places but this can be a positive for less technical users. There can be small delays syncing new content but this is not an issue.

Yodeck delivers excellent value for the price. Compared to our previous digital signage platform, it’s noticeably more affordable while still offering a strong and capable feature set. Where it really shines is flexibility—there are multiple ways to schedule and organize content, which makes it easy to tailor what’s shown across different screens and timeframes. It also works best when you lean into full-screen content created outside the platform, which results in cleaner, more polished signage that aligns well with branding.

Cons

That same flexibility can also be Yodeck’s biggest drawback. There isn’t a single clear “right way” to structure content, which can make initial setup and ongoing management more confusing than it needs to be. Without some upfront planning, it’s easy to end up with a system that works but isn’t as efficient or easy to maintain as it could be.

Support team is really great. They saw I had 2 screens offline for days and they contacted me to ask if everything is working. I explained that the Raspberry pi keeps disconnecting and they saw that it is constantly trying to connect to 5G wi-fi (witch is some distance away) and that I should set the router to allow rPi to only connect to regular 2.4GHz wi-fi... once I did that I no longer have any disconnects and everything is working fine.

Pros

Really easy to setup and register a screen. It's super easy and convenient. You just type the registration code you see on screen onto YD dashboard and you can start putting commercials up.

Cons

IDK, there are a lot of templates in "Layouts" section, but could have more. Also you could implement keep me logged in so I don't have to log every time. Also, make an app for mobile so I can log through my smartphone, not through browser.

Yodeck's pricing structure was more transparent and scalable, the player hardware options were more flexible, and the content management system hit the right balance of being powerful without being overly complex. The ability to use affordable Raspberry Pi players was also a plus, giving us more control over our hardware costs. Overall, Yodeck delivered everything we needed without unnecessary bells and whistles or premium pricing.

I absolutely LOVE Yodeck. We tried it out simply due to the cost - we hadn't ever had screens in our shop before and wanted to see how it would work. Yodeck was the most functional and comprehensive for that price. It has improved communications across our shop floor and departments, helped us roll out some massive company initiatives, and will now be playing a part in communicating company KPIs to everyone. I HIGHLY encourage anyone who is thinking about trying Yodeck out to do it. You won't regret it!

Pros

Yodeck is fantastic value for the price you pay, and their customer service has been absolutely spectacular. They are timely in their responses, and even if it isn't an issue on their end, keep the ticket open until you figure out how to resolve it. They even offered to talk directly with our IT team to help us solve the network issue we had! It is super easy to use and versatile.

Cons

We really only had issues when upgraded our players, and even then, it wasn't a Yodeck issue, but a network permissions issue with our IT team. I really don't have any cons - it has mostly been plug and play, and the learning curve for their platform was very simple.

Managing the players once they were connected is very power and easy to do. They have a wide range of options for creating and managing the content which was incredibly easy to learn and implement.

Cons

Initially setting them on the WiFi network was a little bit of an exercise, but they have a very helpful knowledge base that walked us through the process.

Once the initial browser-player hurdles were cleared, the system has been rock solid. It makes the right thing easy (scheduling, app integration) and the wrong thing hard (messy manual updates).

Pros

The "one screen free" tier is incredibly generous because it doesn't gatekeep the best features. The dashboard is surprisingly robust—having access to native apps like Instagram and weather updates makes the content look professional with very little effort. I love the freedom of remote configuration; being able to tweak the display from home while it’s running on a TV elsewhere is a massive win for efficiency.

Cons

The initial setup for a web-based player was a bit finicky. Getting Chrome to launch automatically, hit full-screen mode, and run reliably upon boot took some trial and error. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it requires a bit of technical patience at the start.

Pros

I use the free version of Yodeck to display artwork downloaded from Wikicommons for my kids on the Blackdove Samsung Frame. It turns on in the morning and off at night. Pretty cool. I also discovered that you can display YouTube videos by uploading the URL and it plays them on a loop, which is great because the kids don't then watch the endless content scroll, which can be inappropriate for children.

Cons

It takes a bit to set up, though I think this was the fault of my Blackdove hardware, which also doesn't allow me to rotate the screen 180 degrees. It still shows on the screen, just compressed. (Apparently I have to reinstall the software for a proper display.) Also, there is an annoying, if minor UI issue. When you change the media on a screen there is both a Save button in the upper right hand corner and a Save and Push button under the screen icon.

Easy to use with a true plug-and-play experience once a Yodeck device has been configured. Setup was straightforward, and rolling out additional screens became a simple, repeatable process that required minimal technical effort.

Cons

The biggest frustration was that Yodeck's Power BI integration relies on a premium app that stops working once the trial expires. I was in the middle of demoing the Power BI dashboard to stakeholders when the trial ended unexpectedly, which forced me to cancel the demo. This directly hurt internal adoption and made it much harder to build momentum for the platform.
