Pros

We use Maintastic to manage maintenance and service tasks for our measurement technology systems and production infrastructure. Our company develops and manufactures high-end laboratory devices, inline process refractometers, and automation solutions for industrial measurement. Maintastic CMMS fits seamlessly into our workflows. We handle technical documentation, ticketing, maintenance planning, and internal communication in one place. The system is reliable and easy to use. We’re actively working together on new features like the AI speech-to-ticket functionality, and we contribute to improving data quality through a shared terminology glossary.

Cons

There’s nothing significant to criticize. Some features are still under development, but that’s part of the continuous innovation we really appreciate about Maintastic.

Pros

We’ve been using Maintastic as a white-label application in our service for six years, both as as a maintenance tool and a visual remote support solution integrated into our own ticketing system. Our helpdesk uses the system to help our customers repair their machines and save field service missions. In our Remote Operations team, it enables seamless collaboration with customers: tickets are handled together, issues are discussed in chat, and daily maintenance tasks are tracked clearly and consistently. The partnership with the Maintastic team has been excellent, with steady improvements and new features added over the years.

Cons

At first, we were unable to integrate it with our internal ticketing system. Now, the integration is running stable since 3 years.

Pros

I used Maintastic in my previous role for asset tracking, ticketing, and remote collaboration, and it was a great experience overall. The mobile app stood out and was fast, intuitive, and perfectly designed for use in the field. It made reporting and resolving issues much easier. Now that I work in IT security, I also really appreciate how well Maintastic is built from a security standpoint. The software has helped us structure and improve our production and maintenance processes while enabling seamless collaboration across locations. I look forward to the AI features, Maintastic has presented as demo versions on last year’s AllAboutX conference.

Pros

Maintastic is an excellent solution to support our steering component production processes. The ticketing system helps to document findings at workstations and turn them into tasks for production and maintenance optimization. During Covid, the remote support feature was particularly valuable, allowing us to inspect installation and ramp-up of workstations in China without having to travel. The introduction of push notifications about 2 years ago has made mobile use very convenient — the staff can handle tickets and updates directly from their phones, which greatly improves responsiveness and workflow efficiency.

Cons

We didn’t encounter any major downsides. A challenge was that the mobile app had to be installed on company phones, which required coordination with our IT department. Once set up, however, it worked as expected.

The software has been a great help in keeping track of our machines and maintenance tasks on our agricultural farm. Setting up the system was straightforward, even without external support, and it’s been running smoothly.

The only current limitation for us is the lack of offline functionality, which would be particularly useful in areas with limited internet access. However, Maintastic has already confirmed that this feature is under development and will be released soon..

Connection to Salesforce, Duplicate user (same customer, same rights, etc.) 'Teams' in the overall manual --> So that it would be easier to assign different cases to different (customer) teams and have it all together, instead of creating several cases An overall search function --> Search internal and external users at the same time without switching the pages.

My experience with Maintastic, was very positive. Not only did they offer great support, the overall usability was very good as well as the integration of they different features into our datamodel.

Pros

Maintastic proved to be a very capable tool, for reducing downtime of our systems. It improved collaboration with external Engineers especially in a cleansing environment. Having multiple people join in without the hassle of changing into cleanroom-suits was one of its best features.

Cons

Even though remote support was very valuable, camera support was always an issue due to our semiconductor clients and their stricht no camera policies.

We use Maintastic to keep track of all our solar maintenance jobs and tickets — and honestly, it’s been a game changer. Our technicians can fill out their reports right in the app, and we finally have all info about our PV systems in one place. It just works. No more messy spreadsheets or WhatsApp messages flying around. Everything’s structured and easy to find.

Cons

Not much to complain about, really. Maybe just that we needed a bit of time to get everyone used to the new system — but once they saw how smooth it runs, everyone was on board.

Maintastic integrates very well into a maintenance setup as an automotive OEM. Leveraging the SAP connection, technical locations are synchronized automatically, while the reactive maintenance is handled entirely within Maintastic. The mobile app is a favorite, and perfectly suited for use directly on the shop floor. Maintastic allows technicians to create, update, and close tickets right where the issues occur.

Cons

Maintastic could benefit from improved supplier management. I wish the option to integrate suppliers directly into the tool is on their list of upcoming features.

I used Maintastic in my last job to monitor and manage our machines (and formwork) in a precast plant for concrete jacking pipes. The system made it easy for workers to report machine issues directly. The maintenance team used it to do recurring tasks.

Nothing really problematic or what I did not like. Once I was familiar with it, it worked well and was easy to train the others.

We were invited to share our impressions of Maintastic after testing the free version. The software offers a complete range of maintenance management features in a very intuitive interface. We’ve been impressed by how well it supports reactive maintenance, structured maintenance planning, and asset knowledge management. The ability to store and organize technical documentation directly within the platform has also proven extremely useful.

Cons

So far, we haven’t encountered any real downsides. As we are still in the testing phase, we are exploring advanced configuration options, but everything has worked smoothly and reliably so far.
