Average.

Pros

It’s nice to see what my teammates are busy working on.

Cons

The Ui and UX could be improved a lot. The Ui is very old and outdated. Not the most user friendly and that’s because the Ui is confusing.

### "Intuitive and easy to use planning tool."

February 3, 2025

5.0

Very positive, I had quick satisfaction using the product the first time.

Pros

The main benefit of BasicOps compared to the many other products in this category o which I have used quite a few, are the very intuitive concepts, low threshold to get started and quick time to see that you have some success in using the product. Often you experience with new products that they fail on a lot of these points. BasicOps does a excellent job of nailing these.

Cons

The less than 100% integration with Active Directory. I would like to see that there is a easy & quick way to import groups and easy way to provision new users as they pop into AD.

### "BasicOps hands down the best project management product in the market"

February 1, 2025

5.0

Overall would highly recommend it. We have a small team of 10 people across many different geographies and with BasicOps we are much more organized and can easily track projects and also share actions and status. Also, the customer service has been superb.

Pros

\- very intuitive to use - an incredible number of features - was able to easily add my team members - can create projects and share with external customers - love the daily reminders on tasks I need to do

Cons

I have so far loved my experience, I really don't have any major complaints.

### "BasicOps - highly recommend! "

February 3, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with BasicOps has been very good! I have been able to unify all my tasks in one place, and schedule messages and meetings while creating new tasks for my projects. The usability of it is top-notch and helps with the simplifying of all the PM tasks.

Pros

BasicOps allows for all communication to be centralized, which makes the Project / Product Management side easier to be organized. I liked how there were different views for the task, whether that be through a list or calendar as it helped visualize tasks in different forms. I also liked how the calendar was integrated with messaging and video calls, so that everything is centralized to make communication easier.

Cons

Something I would add to BasicOps is easier features to have non-PM's interact with the product. There should be a PM view and a non-PM view so they aren't overwhelmed with seeing all the tasks that aren't theres, and only would view information relevant to them.

### "More Productive Meetings with BasicOps!"

February 13, 2024

5.0

My experience has been very positive! The company is run by a fantastic team that is very receptive to feedback that improves end user experiences.

Pros

I like that I am able to have access to a rich note taking and project management tool natively within my meeting client. BasicOps allows me the ability to focus on my meeting while it is underway, without having to multi-task across multiple screens and applications in order to effectively take notes while in a meeting. I also like how easy it is for me to organize my notes in BasicOps, which greatly helps my Account Management workflows!

Cons

BasicOps is powerful and feature rich. This is great! But this does add some complexity when the intent is to perform simple tasks. Like note taking in meetings for account management purposes.

### "Simple project management for design ops or creative teams"

January 17, 2024

5.0

Highly recommend. Responsive support, simple and reliable.

Pros

Simple to use, great integrations with existing tools like Dropbox and Google Drive, Gmail, and Calendar. Also supports Office 365 and other popular tools like Zoom and WebEx.

Cons

Was a bit confusing at first as to how to setup to support members of team who are just clients or customers vs. employees, but made sense once we figured it out.

### "Great software for simple project management"

January 30, 2023

4.0

It's been good to be able to schedule tasks quickly and be able to see progress in ream time.

Pros

I like that it's simple and easy to use. No real learning curve. It's UX is pleasant and not glitchy at all! The customer service team is stellar! They fix things quickly and implement new features on request.

Cons

I can't upload images to direction, which makes me need a separate software for directions in tasks themselves.

### "More than just an alternative"

December 28, 2022

4.0

We migrated from another task manager with ease, thanks to a very logical UI. We are a team of 29 permanent staff, add to that contractors and clients, and I can say around 50 persons are using BasicsOps on a daily basis without friction. We created an onboarding video for new staff/clients/contractors, but I almost feel it's superfluous as BasicOps just explains itself.

Pros

Offering a clean and easy-to-understand User interface, BasicOps not only offer everything that the competitors do but even more. Kanban, and Gantt are normally expensive add-ons but come included.

Cons

– The ACLs (permissions) could be improved or be more granular.– Lack of localisation: e.g. BasicsOps is using MMDDYYYY which is fine for US, but not for the rest of the world.

### "A great product - Waiting for it to reach its full potential"

December 27, 2022

5.0

I love this product. It's definitively not perfect, but excellent support and ease of use go a long way, because, at the end of the day, no software can be perfect when it comes to team management.Starting the team on the work was easy, basically I just created the tasks and assigned them to the team members. Getting an overview on the status of the project is simple, thanks to the board view and the timeline view.We find the chat very useful, to avoid decentralising activities on other tools.Overall, I believe that this is a product with huge potential. Right now it has all of the basic features but I hope that it will build on them, possibly also adding some new ones.

Pros

I absolutely love the customer support and the ease of use

Cons

The most needed features for me are time tracking and a knowledge base.As of Dec 2022, there are basic versions for both of them, but more advanced versions should be offered to suit my needs.

### "BasicOps User Experience"

May 19, 2025

5.0

The search for a useful project management platform is a struggle, but BasicOps finds a useful niche that allows me and my team to work together with minimal friction.

Pros

BasicOps allows me to work with my team in the most efficient way possible, combining elements of both task management and communication. I am very fond of the personal feed feature, which allows me to track my individual tasks throughout the day.

Cons

Opening BasicOps can initially seem a little bit daunting, however the guides and hints quickly got me set up to use BasicOps to the most of its ability.

Pros

Simplistic UI and looks make it very easy to use and helps track team's tasks and project as a whole

Cons

Nothing much, just reminders via notifications etc would be good and being able to track the progress of individual tasks via a graph and a heads up of not being able to meet targets etc via prediction.

### "Great as is and had a ton of potential for a lot more"

January 23, 2023

5.0

So far, I've loved the interface and easy of use of the platform better than any other system I've used over the years.

Pros

Honestly, the #1 reason I love this platform is it's clean interface. I've used several others, and they just seem clunky and not quite finished. Basic Ops has both form and function.

Cons

My only negative with the platform is the lack of ability to white label it for client access and attach our own domain for it. Hope this feature gets added soon.

Very Good. I have taken over the initial project setup task for our Team and I have found it easy to use as a project Administrator. We just completed an Advanced training class for our entire Team. Being able to ask specific questions during the class was very well received by our Team. \[sensitive content hidden\] was our instructor and knowledge and insight was awesome!

### "A Project Management App your Team will actually use!"

Clarity across projects, easy to plan and execute work, easy to help my team move projects forward to completion.

Pros

Exceptionally easy to get started. This smart design includes everything you need to plan and execute work. Visualize in Kanban, Waterfall or Lists - it's up to you. Add automations.I LOVE the internal notes, team chat and discussion threads. Also, the integrations with Google Drive and Google Calendar help us prevent App-Switching.

Cons

Pros

Team Communication is amazing, There are so many different ways to get in contact with team members all in one area. I can quickly assign different tasks to team members and reach out to them with any questions or concerns if I am stuck on something.

Cons

Interface could be updated, it's a bit old school but it's a minor critique.

Pros

Managing & Editing Tasks. Developing a Gantt Chart for time tracking.

Cons

In Timeline (Gantt Chart), it does not have any option to see timeline for particular tasks>sub-tasks. When I open it it shows the timeline of whole project and filter options does not have anything to see timeline by task. If you add it, it'll be more helpful during presentations for focusing on particular task. Currently, I am creating dummy project of that task to show timeline of just that task.
