Pros The main benefit of BasicOps compared to the many other products in this category o which I have used quite a few, are the very intuitive concepts, low threshold to get started and quick time to see that you have some success in using the product. Often you experience with new products that they fail on a lot of these points. BasicOps does a excellent job of nailing these. Cons The less than 100% integration with Active Directory. I would like to see that there is a easy & quick way to import groups and easy way to provision new users as they pop into AD. I have been able to unify all my tasks in one place, and schedule messages and meetings while creating new tasks for my projects. The usability of it is top-notch and helps with the simplifying of all the PM tasks. Pros BasicOps allows for all communication to be centralized, which makes the Project / Product Management side easier to be organized. I liked how there were different views for the task, whether that be through a list or calendar as it helped visualize tasks in different forms. I also liked how the calendar was integrated with messaging and video calls, so that everything is centralized to make communication easier. Cons Something I would add to BasicOps is easier features to have non-PM's interact with the product. There should be a PM view and a non-PM view so they aren't overwhelmed with seeing all the tasks that aren't theres, and only would view information relevant to them. They fix things quickly and implement new features on request. Cons I can't upload images to direction, which makes me need a separate software for directions in tasks themselves. Pros It has all of the standard tools - nothing special, but also nothing missing. I really like it because of the fact that it has my kanban boards and an area for notes. I also really love the daily/weekly updates and simple summaries. Nice work Cons Maybe missing some AI features - but I also kind of like that. We are a boutique business and like many businesses require serious organization without the "bells and whistles" and fancy fanfare. BasicOps not only gets the job done but does so with an efficiency that's uncomplicated and to the point. It's intuitive and a pleasure to use. We're able to manage in-house business while staying on top of client projects/tasks. It's a great compliment to our CRM without competing with it or duplicating features it already has. BasicOps comes highly recommended by us.P.S.One feature we really find it useful for, is managing all of our lifetime deals (LTDs) purchases. It's great for keeping them organized in categories of what to "Consider", needs "Review" before the expiration date approaches, the ones that are a"Keep", and the ones being "Returned". The discussion section helps us identify the pros and cons of a product and reminds us of why we're keeping it or returning it; it also helps prevent any double purchases (yes, been there and actually freak'n did that - SMH). We could go on about how BasicOps has really made a positive influence on how we do business, keep organized, and supports accountability. Huge KUDOS to BasicOps for such a dynamic product! Pros One of the main things we liked most about BasicOps is that it's not overly complicated. It has all of the essentials necessary for management software without being over the top. Cons There is nothing that comes to mind that we do not like about BasicOps. We are a team of 29 permanent staff, add to that contractors and clients, and I can say around 50 persons are using BasicsOps on a daily basis without friction. We created an onboarding video for new staff/clients/contractors, but I almost feel it's superfluous as BasicOps just explains itself. Pros Offering a clean and easy-to-understand User interface, BasicOps not only offer everything that the competitors do but even more. Kanban, and Gantt are normally expensive add-ons but come included. Cons – The ACLs (permissions) could be improved or be more granular.– Lack of localisation: e.g. BasicsOps is using MMDDYYYY which is fine for US, but not for the rest of the world. It's definitively not perfect, but excellent support and ease of use go a long way, because, at the end of the day, no software can be perfect when it comes to team management.Starting the team on the work was easy, basically I just created the tasks and assigned them to the team members. Getting an overview on the status of the project is simple, thanks to the board view and the timeline view.We find the chat very useful, to avoid decentralising activities on other tools.Overall, I believe that this is a product with huge potential. Right now it has all of the basic features but I hope that it will build on them, possibly also adding some new ones. Developing a Gantt Chart for time tracking. Cons In Timeline (Gantt Chart), it does not have any option to see timeline for particular tasks>sub-tasks. When I open it it shows the timeline of whole project and filter options does not have anything to see timeline by task. If you add it, it'll be more helpful during presentations for focusing on particular task. Currently, I am creating dummy project of that task to show timeline of just that task.
