Pros Duo Security software is very effective at sending two-factor authentication pushes to my cell phone and allowing me to avoid cumbersome text message codes to enter into logins. Cons The one down side of Duo Security software is that if you cell phone runs out of battery or if your cell phone encounters technical problems than you will have quite the problem logging onto your desired platform. They are link right up through the phone and mobile connected in seconds! Highly Recommended 10/10 Pros I use the mobile authentication everyday; super easy and super fast! Works great with both iPhone and Android! Syncs very quickly and allows me to sign in no problem on the computer with in seconds Cons I do not really have any cons for this system, granted I only use it for mobile authentication into the secure environment, Authentication into the Zscaler & network- but works great! I have Duo mobile set up on my phone, and like how I can have it send me a push notification. It takes only a few seconds to go through the entire process. Cons It can be a pain having to continually re-verify your log-in, and every once in a while it seems to lag a bit (network slowdown or something). It was easy to set up and utilize on an on-going basis. I now use it for my OneLogin as well. Pros Super easy to set up a new two-factor authentication, which I cannot say the same for some of the other ones that I have used. Cons No cons for two-factor authentication. It was super easy to set up new ones, and I use Duo whenever it is available for two-factor requirements. In the 4 years I've been using Duo Security, I never had a random issue or bug coming up, which is really great. Cons I like the least that setting up a new device or authenticating without downloading the app is a hassle. It'd be great if text messaging for verification is enabled in addition to calling the phone. It'd also be helpful if the team could shorten the steps needed for registering a new device. February 27, 2020 5.0 Great way to connect quickly to your server within seconds. I use at home and remotely on the road and only takes me seconds to a minute to login. Highly recommend! Pros Love Duo! Makes working from home/remotely so easy. I login to duo from my computer and send verification to my duo mobile app on my phone, and quickly verify/approve and get logged into our server. Takes literally a minute! Way easier than past software we used that was unreliable. I've never had an issue with duo and also took no time for my IT department to set it up on my laptop and phone for me to get started. Cons Nothing bad to say! Has always worked seamlessly within seconds for me. Only took my IT department a half hour to put on my laptop and phone to get me going. Love this software. Pros Duo security is an app on your phone and a computer program, so it is versatile and helpful in protecting your passwords and various accounts. In school, it is a great way to protect tuition information, grades, and various other lovely stuff we do not want people to know. Cons The app can sometimes lose connection with the cloud, so an authentication won't go through, or there can be issues where the app does not receive a push or a request. I very rarely have connectivity issues, I've never had token mismatches or problems of that nature. It does the job it's supposed to do, and does it very well. Cons Really my only complaint is that sometimes the push notification doesn't work properly, in a variety of different network settings. Once you've signed in on your computer, a push notification is sent to your smartphone. Just click to approve it, and you are securely connected to the network. An unauthorized user would be unable to gain access without having possession of your phone. I appreciate that it's generally a quick, no-hassle process; signing in takes only a few seconds. Cons Occasionally it takes a couple of attempts to sign in to the network. Additionally, it can be inconvenient to need to have your phone handy whenever you sign in. I've had my phone charging in another room when I realize I have to go get it in order to sign in. Pros The Simplicity of it all. The User Interface is so slick. Quick QR code scan and the ease of integration to so many online services. Cons The acquisition of Duo by Cisco still need some fine tuning on the integration part. Some ordering is made online and some through Cisco Commerce but there can be no hybrid and thats a bummer. It is an easy layer of security from Remote desktop users, and an easy sell to our partners. They also have a help desk verification tool that allows us to verify the identity of someone calling in by sending a push notification to their phone. Overall, we are very happy with Duo. I love the three different options it provides us for logging in as well. Cons I wish I could include other websites/softwares to my duo token but it doesn't seem to work just yet with my other accounts. This product gave the company a clear and clear documentation, which reflected its platform as one of the best. It is the best choice. Pros It is very good that it is compatible with Apple Watchcon. The design is very intuitive and has an excellent Interfax, you do not need training to use it. In addition, the documentation they provide is well written. Support is quick answer any question. The end-user experience is very simple and easy. The product works and they have given us great support by bringing systems online. DOU is the best product I found in the market. Cons I'm just saying it's expensive. It is the only bad thing that this product has. I think we are getting all the quality we want ... DOU is necessary for the company and I do not regret using it. Because I am now working in a different company and they suggest me to use DUO MOBILE. And I am using it right now. I have the application on my phone and it is really easy to use. Pros The safeness and security it gives, it is user friendly and the two methods to authenticate your identity. Cons Set-up can be initially burdensome, especially if switching devices with regularity, but that pales in comparison with the pros mentioned above.
