Cons The updates for many of the apps that are part of the manufacturers' package seem to use a lot of hard drive space for doing the same function they were doing before the update with not many notable or significant differences or updates catered for the users' direct benefit. Some of the new features like better notifications and permission controls were cool, but overall the software felt kinda clunky and not as smooth as I expected. It worked, but it didn’t really blow me away. Pros While I wasn’t a big fan of the software overall, I did appreciate the improved control over app permissions and the way notifications were grouped more clearly. Even if the rest of the update didn’t feel like a major improvement, those features at least made daily use a little easier. Cons The software often felt unfinished and a bit clunky. More work needs to be done to improve security. Pros I love the new security features which is a step in the right direction for android users. I am a music lover and I love the media screen at the top of the screen for easy control. The new pixel launcher is a great feature. I can just turn my auto rotation on on my home screen, hence use the phone as a tablet in an instance. Cons The new release had some bugs but updates were sent out to address issues. Because of this, I've never had to look up workarounds, alternative products, etc. Pros Android 11 powers mobile devices, which are the things I use most often. When I'm using a laptop OS, I'm aware of which OS I'm using. With Android, I don't know which version of the software I have or realize that it's even powering the whole phone/tablet. It just happens. And that's the best part about Android. I suppose if there were more OS-related problems, more tech support, bug reporting, etc. would be needed. But, like most people, I'm able to just pick up the device, make a call, receive a text, calendar an event, check the time/weather/news/email, use a variety of apps for a ton of purposes. And I never even realize all of these apps were built for the Android OS and it's only because of the OS that I'm able to be blissfully unaware of this.
