It’s my absolute go-to browser because it just makes my life easier. The best part is how it keeps my whole life connected, I can open a recipe on my phone while grocery shopping and find it waiting on my laptop when I get home. It’s super fast, easy to use, and reliable. My only real complaint is that it eats up my laptop’s battery way too fast when I have too many tabs open. It works fast, runs smooth, and has a huge library of available extensions. For businesses its great because you can manage the browser and apply/enforce policies to allow or prevent end users from doing certain things or enabling certain settings. Pros Really like the ability to tie a Google/Gmail account to Chrome profiles so that your passwords, bookmarks, history, etc. sync across devices. Chrome overall seems to be the fastest, smoothest, and less clunky web browser available. If using Google Workspace, you can enforce managed browser which allows you to enforce Chrome GPOs to your end users. Very large Chrome marketplace of extensions to install. Cons It's annoying that it's not natively installed on every operating system (Windows and macOS). Chrome is also notorious for eating up huge amounts of system RAM/memory. The browser settings do not seem to be amenable to changes. Pros The number of choices you have with what you want to do with a website you have opened. It also seemed to give better seafrch results. Cons Will not let you change language preferences. Suddenly every website that I open is opening in Azerbaijani. I have gone to settings and removed Azerbaijani as a preferred language. When I check it has returned. The only way to see my pages in English is to use translate. Additionally, I cannot remove it and do a reinstall. The results have plenty of different options to click on, that I may find a better fit for what I want. I can have lots of tabs opened to easily navigate from one result to another. I can close chrome and when I reopen it pick up where I left off. I have the option to open the tab in a desktop site. Pros Provides me with lots of options with what I'm searching for. Font is easy for me to read. I can click different options when it loads search result like if I'm just looking for images. I can look at the images without having to go through results for sites. There is a option to have unused tabs moved after not using for certain amount of time. It shows at the top the hidden tabs. You can easily shut it off at anytime. Pros I find that Google Chrome allows me to view more content online than any other internet browser. On other browsers, I find that there are websites I am required to access for work that either do not open at all, do not display all content, or will not function as intended. Cons If I had to make a complaint about Google Chrome, it would be that they are not already the default browser on the majority of consumer products. At least not that I have found. If you are a user that has several extensions, it seems that Chrome is quite compatible with several extensions. I have used some on my own such as loom and the experience has been quite positive. Pros What I like about Google Chrome is that there is now the capability to create individual profiles within Chrome so that you do not need to constantly log in and log out of each profile when using the browser. What I also like about Google Chrome is that it is the browser that works with the LMS we use because other browsers don't work well with our LMS. Cons What I don’t like about Google Chrome or like least about Google Chrome is the overstep of privacy because Google has made it where the user can set their own privacy modes but if the user isn't familiar with these privacy settings, they end up sharing data that maybe they didn't want shared but don't know how to prevent that from happening.
