Manager Automotive Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Best web browser on the market" July 5, 2026 5.0 Chrome has been my go-to browser for years, and it has earned that spot by just consistently working without drama. Speed is still the biggest reason I stick with it since page loads are noticeably faster than Firefox or Safari and that difference matters when I’m juggling dozens of tabs for work. The Gemini integration has genuinely changed how I use the browser day to day, since automating repetitive form filling and browser actions saves real time instead of being a gimmick bolted onto the address bar. Syncing across devices through my Google account is seamless too, so whether I’m on my MacBook or a different machine, all my folders, favorites, and tabs are right there without any setup. The only real knock against it is the memory usage. Tab related memory leaks have caused my MacBook to freeze hard enough that I’ve had to force quit everything more than once, which is frustrating for a browser this mature. If Google can get a handle on that memory management issue, this would be about as close to a perfect browser as you’re going to get. As it stands, the speed, automation features, and cross device syncing outweigh the occasional freeze up, which is why I keep coming back to it. Pros I have been using Google Chrome for many years now because it just simply works as it should. It is by far faster than Firefox and safari when it comes to loading websites. It has Gemini embedded in it now which is a complete game changer because now I can automate actions in browser that is very tedious when filling out forms. The webpage management works flawlessly also because I can create folders for websites and can load them all at once when turning on my MacBook. There is literally no learning curve when it comes to using chrome and when you sign into your Google account it will load all my favorites and websites on any pc I use it on. Cons There is not many cons of Google Chrome but the biggest one that bothers me is the memory usage of chrome tabs it will sometimes let websites create a memory leak that will literally freeze my MacBook up to the point where I have to force close everything. Once they can fix the memory leak problem I think it will be nearly perfect.
