It is quick and easy to use with minimal ad pop ups. Google Chrome is a reliable web browser with no issues. Pros I have a Chromebook that is built in with Google Chrome and so it is not my go to web browser when using my laptop. Google Chrome is free to use making it available to use for everyone. Google Chrome allows easy access to browse multiple web pages at a time without dropping speed or creating a lag on the browser. Google Chrome directly links you to the Google search engine when needed allowing you to quickly search anything you need. Cons I have no had any issues when using Google Chrome on my laptop, it is not my preferred browser to use on my phone however this is due to having and apple product for my phone which defaults quicker to the safari browser. Pros I use separate profiles for different client cloud accounts, which is very safe. The extensions like JSON viewer help me debug API fast. It loads AWS and GCP console pages very quickly. I like that my bookmarks sync across all my devices. Cons It eats too much RAM memory. When I open many tabs for monitoring dashboards, my system freezes. Yes" November 2, 2025 5.0 I use Chrome as my primary browser due to its speed and expandability. There are times I am required to use Microsoft edge, but this is becoming few and far between. Chrome's stability, coupled with performance, keeps me coming back. Pros Chrome takes a minimalist approach to design and puts what you want in your browser front and center. The content. It does this in a variety of ways, but it also does it very fast. The Canary version is faster, but most won't really notice a difference unless they are using a lot of programs at once and pushing their computer. Since Chrome is in the Google ecosystem, you are able to use your Gmail login to sync your Chrome information across whatever you like. Whether it be your PC, your laptop, tablet, or smartphone, your bookmarks and settings carry from one device to the next. Cons This is more of a quip than a dislike, but sometimes Chrome will "forget" to keep your address bar always on. Sometimes an update can trigger it, but there are times that nothing has happened that the bookmark bar will be absent. I'll have to go into the settings and turn it back on again. I am an android/windows user and have always preferred Chrome over other platforms. I like that it is intuitive and secure, it saves important info I need, and is easy to manage. Chrome also works well with all my android devices and apps. Pros Chrome is the only browser I will use. It is intuitive, connects seamlessly with all of my other products, and I love that it now utilizes AI in its functionality to make searching and browsing even easier. Cons I do not have any complaints about Chrome. The only thing I could maybe suggest I like the least would be my concerns on privacy and how it shares and sells my information. But, most resources, apps, programs, etc today collect and share your information, so Chrome is no different than the rest. If you are a user that has several extensions, it seems that Chrome is quite compatible with several extensions. I have used some on my own such as loom and the experience has been quite positive. Pros What I like about Google Chrome is that there is now the capability to create individual profiles within Chrome so that you do not need to constantly log in and log out of each profile when using the browser. What I also like about Google Chrome is that it is the browser that works with the LMS we use because other browsers don't work well with our LMS. Cons What I don’t like about Google Chrome or like least about Google Chrome is the overstep of privacy because Google has made it where the user can set their own privacy modes but if the user isn't familiar with these privacy settings, they end up sharing data that maybe they didn't want shared but don't know how to prevent that from happening. The results have plenty of different options to click on, that I may find a better fit for what I want. I can have lots of tabs opened to easily navigate from one result to another. I can close chrome and when I reopen it pick up where I left off. I have the option to open the tab in a desktop site. Pros Provides me with lots of options with what I'm searching for. Font is easy for me to read. I can click different options when it loads search result like if I'm just looking for images. I can look at the images without having to go through results for sites. There is a option to have unused tabs moved after not using for certain amount of time. It shows at the top the hidden tabs. You can easily shut it off at anytime. From time to time, I will try other browsers but I always come back to Chrome. It has become second nature to use it and is my comfort browser. Pros I use Google Chrome for everything. I love the user interface. It makes it easy to save groups of tabs and name them, as well as leaving many tabs open. I like that it will restore tabs in the event of unexpected shutdown. I like that there are numerous plugins and extensions to make it function with other products and for safety. I develop for the Chrome browser because I feel it is the most friendly for development and a good majority of worldwide users use it regularly, although I have not researched the usages. Cons I really have little complaint. Like any software, once in a while you need to do an inconvenient update or restart the software because of the nature of file storage.
