### "Brave browser review 2025 by me."

November 14, 2025

5.0

Customizable and fast, Chrome-based but with not much ram usage, it can become ram hungry, but it depends on what you load on, standby tabs, vpn features, it has been a great experience, it's my personal usage browser and chrome became my work browser.

Pros

Privacy is its strongest suit, it's fast, and under the hood a Chrome engine, which gives me confidence. I have used Chrome since it started, and after a certain time, other browsers came out, but this one really made it right.

Cons

The rewards and wallet feature, I know and understand that a good browser needs to find sponsors or ways to build up capital. but if you give us the option to ad ouw own wallet not just uphold, uphold is alright but it would be better to have mor flexibility.

### "Decent alternatice web browser"

April 7, 2025

3.0

Overall my experience with Brave has been hit or miss. I like that Brave runs faster than other options on my PC, but it lacks many of the features I am used to using with Google Chrome.

Pros

Brave is a decent alternative web browser. The privacy features are decent, so you do not have to worry about your sensitive information being stolen. Brave does a great job blocking ads and trackers, which makes it run much quicker than other options. Another feature Brave has is a built-in reward system. They reward you for watching specific ads. Brave also works on Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android. You can sign into your account and use it over all of your devices.

Cons

Brave has many great features but also lacks many things. Browser extensions are usually not optimized to work correctly. Many other browsers are very user-friendly. But Brave can take some time to get used to.

### "Brave the almost perfect browser"

September 18, 2025

4.0

I'm a Linux user, and overall it's a very good choice that combines safety and privacy with browsing speed. However, it still has a lot of room for improvement, particularly in resolving issues such as not keeping browsing logins - restore open tabs etc.

Pros

\- Very fast - Excellent ad and tracker filtering - Strong focus on user privacy - Built-in cryptocurrency wallet - Own privacy-focused search engine

Cons

\- Some usability issues (e.g., browsing history not always saved, frequent logins required for social media) - Synchronization can be unreliable - By default, BAT rewards are enabled to promote its own ads

Switched from

[Firefox](https://www.capterra.com/p/228987/Firefox/)

Brave offers better speed and privacy. With Mozilla, I had to install uBlock Origin for ad blocking, but in Brave, ad-blocking is enabled by default without the need for add-ons. Furthermore, Firefox is far too slow in comparison with Brave.

### "A Safe, Smooth, and Ad-Free Browsing Experience That Just Works"

May 12, 2025

5.0

Brave has become my default and only browser on my laptop. The only time I switch to another one is when I need to test for responsiveness and browser compatibility on the web apps I’m developing. I really appreciate their advocacy for user privacy, and overall, I get a peaceful and satisfying experience thanks to their strong ad-block feature. It feels intentional, minimalist, and efficient.

Pros

I really love how Brave makes me feel safer while browsing. It blocks ads really well-no more spammy websites that feel like phishing traps! One of my favorite things is being able to play videos or music on YouTube without ads, even without a premium subscription. I also find the sync feature super helpful when moving to a new laptop—it keeps all my bookmarks, settings, and browser footprints intact. I love that Brave is based on the Chromium engine - it's a modified version with added features and privacy protections, as well as removed features that might impact performance or privacy. The UI and UX are smooth, and it didn’t require much adjustment as a former Chrome user. The plugin customization settings also make me feel more in control of how I use my tools.

Cons

Maybe because of the ad-blocking feature, some plugins don’t work well - especially the color pickers and screen capture extensions I’ve tried. It's a bit limiting when certain tools you rely on don’t function as expected.

### "Brave - the ultimate browser experience"

November 15, 2025

Pros

It has no advertisements, works without a central authority, is up-to-date, built for web3, and can handle almost everything Chrome can.

Cons

Occasionally, it will crash when I have too many tabs open. But I have found an extension to help close and save my tabs as lists.

### "oBrave Browser allows for privacy focused web browsing and ad blocking"

April 14, 2025

5.0

oMy overall experience with Brave has gone well. Not having to deal with the enormous number of ads and pop ups is a massive relief and makes browsing the internet so much faster and enjoyable. Having the ability to use Brave’s own search engine “Brave Search” is also nice as well so I do not have to deal with the awful ads and sponsored links. It also has crypto, and AI features built in if that is something someone is interested in as well. The only gripe is these features are mostly on by default and can get a little too “in your face.” However, the browser is decently user configurable, and you can turn these features off if you do not want them and modify things to how you like it.

Pros

oPrivacy Focused oHas own separate search engine different from Google or Bing oHas crypto & AI features built in oAbility to disable features you do not want. oMore configurable by the user with sensible options compared to other browsers

Cons

oCrypto and AI features can be a little too “in your face” by default

### "Amazing independent browser that's fast and safe"

Been a great experience - switched to Brave on all devices. Faster browsing. Supports PWA apps. Blocks ad trackers automatically.

Pros

Solid browser with functionally similar to Chrome and even supports Chrome extensions but includes automatic ad tracking cookies. Fast browser experience. Supports PWA web apps.

Cons

Not so well known - found it almost by accident. Wish they advertised more on all media like Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

### "Great browser for unbiased searching and browsing. Highly recommend!"

January 23, 2025

5.0

I had a great experience with Brave. It is safer to use, not only for direction of searching but also with privacy settings available that are not available with other mainstream browsers.

Pros

Cons

I had some minor issues with loading certain websites and documents; some extensions I like with other browsers were not available.

### "A solid web browser but ultimately not suitable for our needs."

May 27, 2025

4.0

Overall it was a positive experience. I tried to get used to its quirks, but ultimately it lost out due to the previously mentioned 'cons'.

Pros

A solid web browser with lots of excellent security and privacy features, available for many operating systems including Android, Linux and Windows.

Cons

The focus on Brave Rewards didn't appeal to me, and there seems to be no way to stop tabs loading in the background when the browser has been set to automatically open previous tabs on startup.

### "Good Private Browsing Experience"

November 11, 2022

4.0

Overall pretty Good with my limited exploration so far.

Pros

1\. Doesn't go overload on the memory while using all work related sites I browse including all Google Business Suit applications, which was usual with time experienced in Chrome/Edge/Firefox earlier.2. As well helps in my basic development scenarios like debug and all, which I do occasionally per situation to help the team.3. Other features I expect from any browser or has it in any browser is present and that's make it all for me this to work well.4. No Ads/No Tracking/Again No Ads due to that is all makes it peaceful.5. In addition it gives you some incentives for popping-up adds \[non-disturbing and totally optional\]. Not sure how does that hep but I am just trying to see what it is and made it ON for me.

Cons

1\. Some important URLs you may have browsed some sessions ago and you want it now to have it now, difficult to trace through. Not sure, may be because of privacy feature or what. Sometime feel blank when you need that URL very urgently and you can't jump on like Chrome.

### "This is Really Best , Safe and Secure Browser I ever use !"

February 21, 2022

5.0

My experience is really good I shifted From chrome to here and I am using this Browser from a long time. I really so much Happy I use that browser. specially I like his Ads blocker ! I can happily watch YouTube Videos but I have one request from brave team, Please Add side bar for quick access to social media Specially WhatsApp Web. Because there is lots of user's who are using WhatsApp if brave do something about this then this is the best Browser! Its also faster then chrome I recommend every one to Use This Browser!

Pros

I really love this feature. and I most like feature called Ads Blocker !. In these day' websites have so many popup ads its so irritating. but after Installing brave I love all popup ads are blocked !

Cons

I really love that browser but there is something missing feature. brave are good but there is feature missing is WhatsApp Web. If you see Opera Browser it's have special windows for WhatsApp Web. Which we can minimize and Maximize any time. So I think if brave browser team add some side bar for social media like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp then may be this is the one of the best browser I ever Used!

Alternatives considered

### "Brave- A modern age browser."

April 6, 2023

5.0

I'm happy with Brave. It has all the features needed in this ad-filled world. Feels good to be able to browse with fewer ads. Integration into my workflow was easy.

Pros

The biggest factor to Brave's advantage is it's privacy and ad blocker. It stops non-essential cookies and vastly reduces the number of ads you see on a daily basis. It has all features of a browser, and it works the same as Chrome, functionally. Easy to download and install. Mobile version is optimised for continuity between platforms.

Cons

The whole concept of BAT is not very easy to understand for most users. It also requires a decentralised wallet to collect, and a high amount is required to cash out. It's also quite RAM hungry, as it's made with Chromium framework just like Chrome.

Alternatives considered

[Firefox](https://www.capterra.com/p/228987/Firefox/)[Vivaldi Browser](https://www.capterra.com/p/229063/Vivaldi-Browser/)

Reason for choosing Brave

Seamless on boarding, as it is visually fully similar to Chrome, the most used browser. Vivaldi and Firefox may take some getting used to for users.

### "A better internet experience that doesn't get in the way"

September 13, 2022

5.0

Using Brave makes the interntet experience a lot better by blocking tracking and ads as a default. By putting the needs af the user and privacy in the center, it just makes for an overall better experience of browsing.

Pros

I love that Brave comes equiped with very good ad and tracking blocking as default, which contrasts with having to install countless diferent add-ons on competitor browsers. I also doesn't ask the user to log in the browser or create an account, instead opting for a more elegant way of syncing all devices. In terms of design, Brave is very modern and non-intrusive, which is all anyone needs from a browser. I also love the fact that Brave is natively crypto-friendly, offering ENS domain resolution and a good browser wallet.

Cons

I don't have any critical complaints about Brave. The only, very minor thing I could mention is maybe not allowing a lot of costumization in the new tab page.

Switched from

[Firefox](https://www.capterra.com/p/228987/Firefox/)[Google Chrome](https://www.capterra.com/p/228985/Chrome/)

### "Brave is one of the best browsers available, and you earn crypto paid out monthly!"

December 15, 2023

4.0

Very good. 8 out of 10. I still use it daily and would recommend it.

Pros

The privacy features are nice and it's very fast and constantly improving. I use brave every day and have for a couple years now, it's only getting better as time goes on. The earn feature (to earn BAT Token) is honestly super cool and innovative, and it pays right to your uphold or gemini accounts that you can instantly cash out which is really cool. Earning anything simply for using a good product is a win to me.

Cons

The customer support is awful, you have to deal with the world's most confusing forum in order to get ahold of anyone as there isn't a direct line of support which is desperately needed. The forum is the absolute most confusing thing I've ever had to navigate so I know anyone with less technical knowledge would never in a million years be able to get support at all. Plus there are no extensions, no Ai and just slightly starting to lag behind the leading browsers in terms of updates.

I use Brave since 5 years and I like it a lot, it is similar to Google Chrome without Google ^^

Pros

The protection to the advisors, in general, we have publicities everywhere and with brave you don't have it. My second preferred features is the Brave Reward program, it is selected publicities and you win some cryptocurrencies.

Cons

### "One of the safest search engines at the moment "

January 22, 2024

5.0

Pros

The two main things that sparked my interest in Brave and made it the only browser I use are the Ads and Cookies blockers. You don't need to install or use another app, you don't have to go through multiple or complicated steps to activate the blockers. It is a simple procedure that 100% works.

Cons

There are no downsides to using Brave, but if there is a thing I would improve, it would be the possibility of having more freedom to customize the browser. For now, there are only a limited number of extensions available.

### "Best browser for multi taskers and professionals"

September 11, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with Brave Browser is excellent.

Pros

The best thing about Brave Browser is that it does not slow down the PC even if we open many tabs simultaneously. Another good thing is that it has an inbuilt ad blocker which works perfectly and blocks many harmful and annoying ads in websites. Also, there is a feature which enables a user to get paid in cryptocurrency which is a unique feature and is not available in other commonly used browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox. Also, webpages can be easily bookmarked so that we can come back to it later. Another good thing is that the user interface of the browser is simple and easy to use. Also, the browser offers a lot of customization.

Cons

I did not find anything bad about Brave Browser.

### "The browser that puts your privacy as a priority"

April 26, 2022

4.0

Pros

It is known that websites attempt to build a profile of you as a visitor to identify you. This is called browser fingerprinting and sites collect as much info as they can so that they can know who you are in a broad sense. Although fingerprints can be used in legitimate ways, they are often used to track activity across web sites and collect info about user's habits. Brave is designed with this in mind introducing noise to create unique fingerprints so websites won't be able to track you. It does this via Brave Shields, which blocks attempts to fingerprint, blocks ads and scripts that might be malicious. I still pair it with uBlock Origin, HTTPS everywhere, privacy badger and NoScript. It includes a simple version of a Tor browser, which might be okay for some light browsing on the dark web. Remember that just using a Tor browser isn't enough to browse securely.

Cons

The thing I like the least about Brave is that they push their cryptocurrency via their browser, which you obtain by letting the browser show you private ads. At least this is an optional feature. Integration with the mobile version of Brave isn't as good as with other browsers, it sometimes won't sync immediately. As when using privacy extensions in the browser, you have to get used to websites malfunctioning. This isn't entirely on Brave as it typically means the site is not built appropriately, but it will mean that you have to bring the Shields down (at your own risk) if you want to continue browsing that site.

May 22, 2023

It has been useful as a Chrome alternative. Would recommend it over Chrome. Regarding more privacy focused browsers, I still use Safari for anything very important.

Pros

Native ad blocker on YouTube, makes working with video much easier. Easy to show to the older folks in the company and get them to adopt, as it looks like chrome.

Cons

Private browsing on mobile seems to be a bit of a miss. If you are logged into a page and close the page, then reopen you are still logged in. This is not the case for Safari and other privacy focused browsers. Extensions can also be a hit/miss compared to chrome.

### "Browser which makes you earn cryptos!!!"

July 30, 2021

5.0

Brave is one of the best chromium based browser and its user base is growing rapidly. It is backed by BAT crypto and has implemented some of the unique features not found in other browsers.

Pros

I have been using brave browser for more than 2 years now and found it one of the best chromium based browser. Here are some of the features I liked the most about this browser. 1. It is an ad-free browser which has an in-build ad-blocker for seamless navigation of the web pages. However, there are limited number of ads that are displayed with the consent of the users by the browser itself. 2. The browser helps you earn BAT (Basic Attention Token) which is a cryptocurrency and once you use the browser and view browser based ads, these tokens start accumulating in your account as reward which can be later redeemed using uphold crypto wallet. 3. It helps to consume less network data, consumes less power and is more secured. It also loads web pages quicker as it filters out the undesired ad-content from the web pages.

Cons

I have noticed that rarely while navigating through the web, on few websites, the links don't allow click action by the browser, however, the same links work on chrome.

My overall experience with brave from day one has been smooth fun and has been a great entry point into the cryptocurrency world, great privacy no popups all the videos and YouTube play fine, I don't use any other browser other than Brave.

Pros

It is a safe simple easy to use browser it's private with all the privacy you can get from Tor, and the crypto currency that's attached to it and their advertising platform is second to none

Cons

I can't see any kind of cons with this browser, I browse normally like I always do with any other browser except I get advertising that I get paid for that goes into an account that I can actually use and spend or trade.
