Pros

Edge is better at smooth scrolling, vertical tabs, PDFs, text to speech, ram usage, support for streaming, secruity

Cons

It can be bloated out of the box and privacy wise, not great, no idea what Microsoft collects for data

### "Microsoft Edge: A Tool for PDF Assignments"

I love using Microsoft Edge! It is easy for my students to download PDFs from the LMS and then resubmit them after they've completed the work using Microsoft Edge.

Pros

I use many PDF files in my AP history courses, and I needed a way for students to type on the PDFs. Microsoft Edge has a textbox feature that allows students to do so.

Cons

Unlike other products in the Microsoft suite, there is no auto-save feature. Oftentimes, students will submit an incomplete assignment because they forgot to hit the save button one last time.

My district uses Microsoft products, so students do not have to pay to use Microsoft Edge. Also, Edge makes it very easy to type on PDF files.

### "Simply Can't Compete "

Not something I would recommend to anyone under the age of 45 - younger users will be unimpressed with the lack of versatility. This browser is fine for office work or basic tasks but this is not the application for gamers or streamers. My personal take-away from Edge was that it simply is not meant for me.

Pros

I do like that it offers basic customization, and that it has Bing built in as the default browser, making earning Microsoft Points easier and streamlined. The more modern UI is also appealing.

Cons

It is Internet Explorer dressed up in a tuxedo; it has never and will never have the customization, ease of use, add-on's, security features or the low impact on my PC performance while doing other things that many other browsers are capable of.

All things considered, it is the greatest browser I have ever used alongside with chrome ,safari and Firefox. Microsoft has done a great job of optimizing the browser for both windows and mobile phones. Although there are few problems about Microsoft edge, but compared to others ,it is still my best browser !

Pros

I like the fact that Microsoft edge doesn't drain my battery like some other browsers do.The tab is easy to manage. Its interface is amazing.

Cons

One of the cons is that it has limited extension. I don't like as it takes a lot of memory sometimes. And adjustment is needed on that.

So far so good. Haven't run into any major issues. I think it crashed once. But i'm not sure that was the fault of Edge.

Pros

it's free. I have not needed customer service. It seems easy to use. Haven't run into any issues with tabs, or extensions. Seems to not take up too much ram.

Cons

I don't like bing, and it defaults to bing. That's really it, otherwise so far, even though i would usually use chrome for web browsing, my new job uses Microsoft.

This browser has provided a good overall experience for leisure and work and I don't see myself using another one for the foreseeable future.

Pros

I like how little ram and computer resources it uses compared to major competitors and it holds up to modern standards.

Cons

Generally speaking, it's a good browser but if I had to nitpick I'd say the button placement on the browser itself, the bars and where everything is located.

Happy with my overall experience. Allows me to do my research online and conduct any downloads I require.

Pros

Good search engine. No issues with searching for websites. Quick to display websites and provides a secure search. Can be used on phone and computer and can sync my data.

Cons

The default search engine is normally Bing/ yahoo which would not be by top choice compared with google search. However this can be changed in default settings to your favoured search engine so it is not a big issue.

I have both on my computer and use both. Sometimes chrome on my computer or safari on my iphone won't let me access certain websites and microsoft edge allows me to do so.

Meh...I really do not like this piece of software. I didn't like Internet Explorer either. I just have never preferred nor liked Microsoft browser products.

Pros

Not really anything. I have never liked any of the Microsoft Browsers. I really don't like anything about it that Google or Firefox doesn't have.

Cons

Everything. I don't even know how I can write 100 words because I really don't like the interface, the ads posing as news, the search results, anything...I really don't like how the AI tries to take over everything but that is not just Microsoft. Microsoft is more annoying about it because the operating system is theirs...

Microsoft Edge is my browser of choice at work. It’s fast, secure, and performs great no matter how many tabs I have open. When I first started using it I found the interface to be a bit overwhelming, but that was quickly resolved. I would definitely recommend Microsoft Edge.

Pros

Microsoft Edge is fast and secure, but its best feature is its low memory use. At work I have anywhere between 3-15 tabs open at any given time. On other browsers, this might slow my whole computer down. But on Edge, I never notice a drop in performance. That’s a big deal for me.

Cons

When I first switched over to Edge I thought the interface was too crowded with shopping, news, promotions, and other prompts. Over time I customized my settings and this is no longer an issue.

Edge seems like a great browser. I like how quick and smooth it seems to run. Also, it is easy to enter your favorite sites to easily navigate.

Pros

Edge seemed to run quick and smooth. One of the most important things for a browser is running quick and smooth so the user has a nice experience.

Cons

I need to explore the developer tools which would be similar to Chrome’s inspect features. In Chrome, Inspect features seem to be built in by default.

Pros

Edge is a fantastic browser - fast, stable, robust, customizable, not littered with ads like Chrome. Any organization using the 365 ecosystem should block all other browsers and just have employees use Edge, especially with all of the customizations and security controls available to IT.

Cons

Just that it doesn't have the brand name recognition of Chrome, so employees think it's a downgrade. But it's not - also uses the chromium technology! With copilot integration it keeps improving. Learn and use it.

Other thing I would like to add, about what I feel that can be improved is the way the browser configuration is set up or shown. I think every single one browser nowadays uses de left list items that are shown in the right. But I think that all the options could be shown as squares with some bullets about what you can see at that location. Or think in a way to improve the configuration display. this can be done and give the user the option to go back to the old look.

Pros

edge works better than explorer, but I always remember internet explorer when you look at the browser icone. and that is a negative thought

Cons

What I deninetively hate about edge is that with "ctrl + h" I only open a small side bar with the navigation history, personatelly I dont like this, and I would prefer to open the browser history in a complete page, or to have an easy way to change this.

Overall Microsoft Edge is a winner. It is an easy to use browser with lots of additional features.

Pros

Great web browser but so much more. With new intergrations like tts, microsoft Edge has taken the web browser to the next level.

Cons

Not too much to complain about. However, two things come to mind. (1) With all the bells and whistles comes complexity. (2) ALL browsers for some reason, insist on trying to trick you into making their default.

It is much improved on previous version and previous Microsoft browsers. It is now my default option for work and easy to manage favourites, tabs, and use for daily work purposes.

Pros

Contains all the features you would want from a browser - easy to arrange and manage how you want it to display. I like the tailored news it gives you when you open a new tab.

Cons

I found it quite difficult to switch to initially in terms of importing favourites. It often reverts you default search engine back to Bing as well without really wanting it to.

It was a nice, quick and precise browser search experience with Edge. This helps me catch the answers quick without it being spread across many pages, and saves a ton of time when looking up or comparing services.

Cons

Sometimes PDF previews didn’t render properly in browser and I had to download them manually, which makes the workflow slower.
