Pros What I like most about Microsoft edge is that it's is a great alternative to chrome, but with all the security provided by Microsoft. The mobile version is easy to navigate and set up. I also like how Microsoft Edge will also automatically group tabs together. Cons What I like least about Microsoft Edge pertains mostly to the mobile version and I feel like it could allow more personal customization options, such as maybe giving the option of changing the color of the tab groups. There is nothing I can complain about since switching over from Chrome. Once you use it for a few days you will love!! Pros What I like the most about Microsoft Edge is similar to chrome and you can customize your tabs down the side of your screen instead of at the top and also put your tabs in groups also LOVE the Read Aloud option. It's a good browser, no problems at all. Quite fast to load, perfect as PDF reader. Pros Edge auto updates, so you don't have to worry about it. It's already installed on your Microsoft Windows and supports old web sites (internet explorer compatibility). It opens quite fast and never hangs. It can read pdf files. A good choice if you don't want or need to install additional browsers. Lack of extensions, but still seems to have compatibility issues with some websites, may be a deal breaker for you. TBH most of us are going to stick with what we have, but if you want to try Bing AI they're holding it hostage. You are required to use Edge to access it. Pros I'm on a Mac, so dont get Edge as the default browser. I downloaded it because they wont let you use Bing AI otherwise. I use ChatGPT, You Ai, Perplexity, Claude, Bard, and Playground all day, every day. Bing is actually much more succinct than the other tools, has updated search results, unlike ChatG, and can display tables. Since I haven't added many extensions, search results are clean and uncluttered. It's also pretty fast and has lots of ways to organize bookmarks, tabs, etc but I haven't used the features yet. Cons Too many options and quick links on the main page cause straight up chaos if you're doing research and need to get search results quickly. Edge also doesn't have as many extensions as Chrome, so you cant really customize it and expand its performance. This is a doubled edge sword, however, since extensions can create conflicts with certain sites and ruin the search experience. Also, it's apparently slower than other browsers but seems robust to me. Reason for choosing Microsoft Edge I wanted access to Bing AI. It's actually worth it, but I dislike having to have that extra window open to use the tool. Review Source zoie Y. January 5, 2024 5.0 Edge is my default browser! It is very easy to set up and customize to meet all of my browsing needs. It loads fast and maintains all of my data, bookmarks, and history across multiple devices without any problems. I'm also really liking the new features that Microsoft has added and look forward to how Edge will be innovated in the future. Pros There have been some great upgrades to Edge. My favorite which I can't live without is the left-side icons that open a window without leaving your main site page. I can continue to work and watch videos while checking my email, using the new AI features and web searching. It's a great multi-tasking feature. I'm also building my collections and using the split-screen feature a great deal. Edge has come a long way, and with every new upgrade, the features keep improving. I've set Edge as my default browser on ALL of my devices and everything is always synced perfectly. Cons The only negative was trying to import my bookmarks to Safari on my iPhone. It didn't work very well and the bookmarks got all mixed up. I solved the issue by downloading the Edge app for iPhone. Now my browser setup is perfectly synced across my devices and works great. Microsoft Edge has been one of the best search engines which gave me a smooth internet surfing experience and saved a lot of time. Now I can also access my old search history with just in few clicks. All thanks to Microsoft edge. Pros The software has a great interface with multiple navigation options between different pages and tabs. It is compatible with Android as well as windows devices which will give you a smooth internet surfing. You can log in to the software and sync it will all of your devices and get that fast and quick browsing experience. Cons The app works fine but one thing I noticed is that it lags a little bit when the Internet connection speed is average and sometimes it is not able to open a few heavy pages quickly and struggles a little bit. Windows version of the software may need to be optimised a little bit by removing a few of the bugs like downloading speed can be improved if compared to other search engines.
