It is still not as powerful in searching as Chrome but I use it every day and it works fine. Pros The new Edge looks good, it has more features than Google Chrome in collecting and managing different tabs and you can move the bar in horizontal or vertical and visually is attractive Cons The search bar per default, Microsoft Bing is not very good and still not as powerful as Chrome-. Due to its good speed, and easy integration of other softwares, I do not feel the need of installing a separate web browser to my windows. Pros Microsoft Edge is a successful attempt by Microsoft Inc to replace its always complained about Internet Explorer with something worthy of its opponents like chrome, firefox etc. It has a sleak and intuitive design and a minimal interface which leaves enough screen space to users for browsing content. The home screen interface is lso customizable and you can select the screen of your type from options. It loads content faster due to its improved algorithms and low memory requirements. The private browsing mode is also very effective in evading cookies. Also it provies improved privacy due to its superb tracking prevention mechanism. Microsoft has worked a lot to integrate good playback tools in Edge. It also supports alot of third party software loke pdf reader, etc and work flawlessly with them. Along with its own plug-ins, it also support extensions offered in Chrome extensions store. Though its default search engine is bing but you can change it to Google easily. Cons Microsoft Edge has high system requirements, which means that it won't work on low end devices, but other than that I haven't encountered any hurdles while using it till now. Pros Microsoft Edge is honestly a very good browser. So much so that I left Google and brave to use it full time. The microsoft rewards program Insentives are amazing as well just for using edge and searching via their search engine every day. (and various other tasks to earn). Over all I don't think I could go back to any other browser. It has built in ad block, tracking prevention, and soon you can add more extensions (on android mobile, desktop already has extensions). The speed is great, I haven't had any problems at all. Highly recommend. Oh and did I mention the Copilot AI? It's built in the browser and can answer questions from your web page or just random things, generate images, and much more. Cons Lack of current extensions for the mobile app but that will no longer be an issue soon. It's also really good on mobile and has replaced Safari! Pros I love how fast Edge is to use. It's smooth, lightning fast and looks incredible. It also has a beautiful collections feature where you can keep bookmarked websites into folders. it makes bookmarks so much better and you actually go back to them due to the ease of finding what you're looking for. Cons The snippinng tool can be frusrating, it should be a good feature but let down by not being able to capture your screen (from what you see). There is only an option to manually capture which can be annoying to use or screenshot the entire page which isn't ideal. Also it doesn't directly let you save, only copy or markup which is a strange decision not to add a 'save' button to download. And then MS decided to stop supporting internet explorer. Some critical software we used only worked on IE so we were forced to find a way to get Edge to work and it required reloading Windows (as opposed to when we simply upgraded). So, the initial implementation was rough. Honestly, I only use Edge for the critical software now. I use Chrome or Firefox for all other internet use. Pros Edge has the advantage of being integrated in Windows with all the software support and features that comes with most of Microsofts products. Also, I like the reading mode features (immersive) and highly customizable user profiles. Cons Since Edge is part of Windows, I have found it difficult to even try to use different browsers. Sure, I can do it but it is a hassle. Also, Edge is a power hog and needs the latest hardware to run properly. My primary concern at times is creating strong enough passwords that will prevent hackers from accessing my accounts, but with the help of Microsoft Edge they have simplified the entire process by introducing the 'Password Monitor'. This feature helps a lot as it notifies me, when they detect that my 'password + username' that I have saved to autofill is being used in a dark web. This allows me to take necessary action and change my password, which helps a great deal. Pros I like the fact that it has a personalised news feed on the default first page, which is tailored according to my interests. I am able to keep up to date with the current news and even check the weather without opening multiple tabs. I find it to be convenient and easy to use. I also like the fact that it syncs my passwords or web browsing information from my desktop to my Android phone.
