I simply don't use it enough to justify the expense. If you have adobe suite, it's also easy to shift files from app to app, link them, and work in multiple spaces at once. Some of my favorite artistic tools are the pattern design tool and Cons Because it's so old and constantly being updated, stepping into it as a new user at this point is extremely overwhelming. It also seems like photoshop is trying to have the features of every other app and not fulfilling them as well. I.e., it has okay drawing features but can be kind of clunky, isn't as simple for photo editing as Lightroom (but is probably more powerful, to be fair), and doesn't work as well for type as Illustrator but has decent type tools. My biggest issue with it is how much they're pushing AI. As an artist, it's a disappointment and makes me worried about putting my work in the software.
