Pros I worked at the digital photo printing shop and I have made many youtube video thumbnails, this software was very handy for both scenarios I didn't have any problems while working on both camera-produced files and files that are created using only Photoshop. It has a feature called Quick Select Tool which helped me most of the time for both scenarios plus it is getting more and more better with almost every Photoshop update. Software makers also offer some good discounts for students which really helps to start their carrier. Cons While using Photoshop I never feel like missing any features but for using what it offers you really need a decent system as it is very likely to hang or crash in between work if your system didn't meet its minimum system requirements, also yeah it is expensive software and nor they offer any free version. It's been a 15 year love affair for me, I'd say product competency and stability are rock solid, for sure! My main issue though, is the high price. I have stayed loyal to the brand nonetheless but with the advent of so many other market rivals, I don't see Adobe being king of the hill for much longer. Pros I love that this software easily integrates with a host of other highly useful soft tools. The entire suite of software products is a god sent actually. Cons Quiet as it's kept, given that there are so many apps and other software options out there for free. I don't believe PS subscriptions should be as expensive. To me, the race is clear and Adobe's competitors have caught up. I don't think it's about coming up with novel features to justify new releases - but rather, find ways to simplify the existing product. Less is more and sophistication is simplicity.
