### "Easy and Useful"

August 29, 2024

5.0

Fast and easy editor for any major purposes of writing , editing or summarizing.

Pros

Easy to deploy,Easy export to other file formats, pretty intuitive workflow, doesn't mess up the layout while inserting images or other external files.

Cons

Limited choice of templates, the ones I saw look like documents from 80's Had some limitation in terms of presentations and logos, printing layouts are different from what the display is showing and need to be adjusted manually.

### "More than just a document creator"

October 16, 2025

5.0

I love Pages and have used it nearly as much, if not more than I do Google docs. The templates & design features gives a more professional look to flyers, letters, or posters.

Pros

Pages is an easy to learn document creation app that also has design capabilities. It is intuitive and has pre-made templates that have a professional look. The grammar & spellcheck feature can be turned off/on as a preference. I love that I have the option of saving as a pdf, importing images, and for me it is easier to use shapes/art than it is to use in Google docs.

Cons

The only thing that is a drawback is it is Mac specific. It does automatically save your work, but it is not automatically saved in the cloud.

### "A New Way to Document "

May 13, 2026

3.0

Overall, it’s a nice app to use. It is a learning curve for folks that grew up using word or Docs. I believe one should teach a class on how to use the software more effectively.

Pros

There is such a level of growth and creativity you can have with this software. You are able to do all the typical document creation stuff and you can change the layout, the color of the pages and more. I am constantly learning how to create with this software.

Cons

It is such a learning curve for me. The functions aren’t the same as word or docs. You have to know what you are doing in order to create/edit or change.

### "Tried & True but with a Bump or Two "

July 30, 2025

5.0

Overall I love it. It is my fave place to edit documents and make lesson plans for school (teacher). Although the initial work is a lot, I copy and paste documents and edit each one each week. Usually it works out pretty good.

Pros

It’s an Apple product, so I like that. My brain works better with that. I like that it’s easy to use and over the years it’s been pretty consistent on how to find things and has even improved.

Cons

Always, converting from Pages to Word or to another document for others to see is kind of a pain. But it is what it is I guess. Recently I didn’t like how for some reason an “update/improvement” took away the feature of being able to reduce/enlarge the boxes within a table row or column. It defaulted to a certain size and didn’t let me edit the size to fit more columns/rows. But then suddenly it worked one day. It’s very frustrating because I use this for work every day and need it to work with me on editing to make it flow easier. So when this happened it threw my work flow off like crazy! And made me just want to find another alternative.

### "Pages is for Professionals and Newbies"

November 27, 2025

5.0

Excellent. It has everything I need and is very organized. I've tried to move to Google Docs to create products for my teaching, but Google Docs can't touch Pages. My products look professional on Pages.

Pros

I have been using pages for years to create products. It's intuitive and I can't imaging living without it.

Cons

Sometimes when I add text, it unexpectedly shifts my images. I’m sure I might be doing something wrong, but it’s still frustrating. I also worry that future updates could remove some of the features I rely on.

I a versatile tool for creating professional documents like brochures and flyers for my business, but i also used personally for my personal documents like planners, task lists, my journal, CV or quick letters and much more... you just need to use your imagination.

Pros

Cons

### "A Great Word Processor for Mac"

May 20, 2025

4.0

I've used Pages throughout a lot of my doctoral work. For the most part, I didn't have trouble getting files sent to professors in the proper formatting, but every once in a while, there was a glitch.

Pros

It works great with Apple products and is a very user-friendly word processing software. It's probably the second-best compared to Word.

Cons

Since not all users use Apple software, it can be a little funky saving a file in a .doc or .docx format. This can sometimes throw off spacing.

### "Pages is a great choice. "

September 20, 2022

5.0

I enjoy working with pages. I use other document software as well, but pages is my go to if I can us it.

Pros

Ive worked on many document creating systems. Pages is my favorite for creating a document from scratch. I've found it has more versatility and ease compared to other products. It allows for creativity without needing to move to adobe illustrator or the like (don't get me wrong, it is not the same as AI). Great for tables/graphs and integrates well with numbers.

Cons

There is a learning curve if you are not familiar with the operating system. It takes a moment to become familiar and find what you need. That being said, the help menu typically solves my problems in 30s or less.

### "Clean, Intuitive, and Easy-to-Use Perfect for Apple Users"

November 20, 2025

5.0

Overall, using Pages was a smooth and pleasant experience. It’s perfect for personal or professional documents if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. While it may not replace Word for power users, it strikes a nice balance between simplicity and functionality.

Pros

I really liked how intuitive and clean Pages feels for creating documents. The templates are well-designed, and it’s easy to format text, add images, and customize layouts without feeling cluttered. I also appreciated the smooth integration with iCloud, making it simple to access and edit documents across devices.

Cons

I found that Pages isn’t as feature rich as some other word processors like Microsoft Word, especially when it comes to advanced formatting and collaboration tools. Sometimes exporting to non-Apple formats (like Word or PDF) can slightly alter the layout.

### "Pages - you dont have a choice with MAC. "

August 6, 2022

4.0

With Mac you do not have a choice, you really have to use pages. However, it is generally a good software without major glitches, and doesn't slow your computer down. It is relatively easy to use and self explanatory. It is of course NOT compatible with Microsoft / android so you have to always remember to export files as word or as pdf.

Pros

It works well isn't generally glitchy and has a lot of adaptability. You can export to other formats for other computers etc and you can actually open up a word document on a mac and then edit with pages.

Cons

My biggest issue with pages is its grumpiness. It randomly decides to stop allowing a document to be saved and says the document is not editable - even though all permissions are set. It is so strange and extremely frustrating!

### "Not quite InDesign or Affinity Publisher, but a great free alternative."

October 12, 2022

5.0

If you're creating simple documents, or even media-loaded ebooks on a Mac, Pages is really powerful software considering it's free. It even streamlines uploading ebooks directly to the Apple Bookstore. And for not being professional software, it's giving Affinity and Adobe a run for their money.

Pros

If you use a Mac, the tight integration with the OS is a dream. We also enjoy the rich Ebook export features. We just finished a digital press kit for a client with embedded photo carousels and music and found that recipients of the ebook version were more likely to respond because of the experience. And putting that experience together was much easier than professional software from Affinity or Adobe.

Cons

Well, Pages isn't professional software and lacks advanced integrations (like Adobe Bridge) with all your connected brand resources. Calling the photo picker loads the local Photos library. Music picker loads the local music library, etc. I haven't used the software with MacOS Server, so I don't know if that changes things.

Pros

It’s a very easy to use app. Like others word process apps this one is very clean and elegant, it has a lot of options and it’s powerful and light

Cons

### "Better than Word - for some things"

December 8, 2021

5.0

I love using it especially for a bit more graphically complex documents, such as an 8 page annual report on my company to investors. It does not reach the pro levels of a layout app such as Adobe's InDesign, but for my purposes those are mostly overkill and as I have a Mac and Pages comes free with the OS, it's not a difficult choice.

Pros

If you want to make a fancy looking PDF report or newsletter Pages does a way better job than MS Word. Especially when it comes to graphics, text and photos in multiple layers. Things just go where you put them and then stay there and its fantastically easy to use.

Cons

I have not really tried the collaborative features, mainly because most colleges and clients use MS Word, where these features are definitely robust (when writing a document that contains mainly text and needs input from others, I thus use MS Word more). Part of this issue is that Pages is only meaningfully available within Apple's walled garden (although you can use the online version at iCloud.com for free) so, collaboration will not work across many desks.

### "Review of the app Pages"

July 16, 2022

5.0

There has not been a single day in the past 6 years where the documents created by the Pages app are not used. Pages is a really powerful software. The majority of my colleagues and schoolmates use this app on a daily basis just like I did. It is simple, clean and definitely most effective. Everyone needs to keep up with this age and remember to use it for your jobs!

Pros

Pages is a great software to start creating any type of document. It is very versatile with a wide variety of templates to choose from. It is a crucial app for students as it gives a headstart to start writing. The program is easy to navigate through. Putting images, icons, stickers and other related attachments come without a hassle. Pages give anyone the ability to produce a great standard of documents, with the best templates. You will definitely love Pages. I highly suggest you begin your writing journey with Pages today.

Cons

There are a few drawbacks of the Pages app. I think some functions can be a little bit too sensitive and it may be quite easy to lose the product that you are working on if you are not careful. This app is also not user-friendly as it can only be accessed by Apple product users only. Although neat, I find that the Pages app is lacking in terms of creativity and style as some designs are a bit old style. However, this app is certainly better than most out there.

### "A worthy alternative to Microsoft Word"

January 10, 2022

5.0

I have been using Pages since 2005. The first few days felt different but since then , each time I have to use a Word document for a client I long for the moment I can go back to Pages. easier tu use Powerful Perfect!

Pros

In general with Apple products, the tool bar and Inspector are superior in all point to the banners in Word. Dragging objects and images is way easier that Word. Same thing to integrate movies ! The table format is well integrated with Apple Numbers and much easier to use that in Word.j Possible to use images in the table...not possible in Word.

Cons

In some rare cases, the bullets can be different with reporting as a Word file. Apart form this it's perfect!

Reason for choosing Pages

at first , Free software integrated into Apple computer But since then, I would rather pay for upgrade of this Than upgrade of Office 365.

### "Writing made fun again"

December 11, 2022

5.0

My overall experience with pages is a wonderful experience. I love the simplicity of the design the overall aesthetic how it looks nice and just simple however, it’s still a very powerful writing tool.

Pros

As a writer who is written stories on and off for a good portion of their life, I must say that pages was a big help and my creative process I like the collaboration tools that they were introduced within the last couple years, as well as the layout, the fonts, and the way that you can set up the tools inside of pages to your advantage for writing

Cons

I would say the only thing that I have to complain about with pages is the fact that when you’re writing a story, and then you bring the story down to the size to be printed in the book, the spacing is not always correct

### "Pages - A Frustrating Option"

July 21, 2021

3.0

On the whole, Pages has been a significant disappointment. I greatly miss Microsoft Word, and I can't wait to go back to using it.

Pros

The only facet about Pages that I can sincerely say that I like is its simplicity in appearance. There are clearly elements of the classic Mac/Apple aesthetic at play... but that's pretty much it.

Cons

When compared to the far superior Microsoft Word, Pages has very few "bells and whistles"... however, it would greatly benefit from adopting some of Word's more better features.
