Pros

I like that Pages is included with my MacBook Air. Many years back when I had a PC, I was used to their word processing program and it was an easy transition.

Cons

It took a minute to get used to it but after 2-4 uses it came naturally.

Mi trovo benissimo nell'utilizzo di Pages per la gestione e creazione di documenti testuali. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti coloro che utilizzano Mac. Secondo me è molto valido e altamente professionale.

Pros

Pages è un ottimo software per la gestione dei documenti testuali. Apple lo fornisce gratuitamente ai suoi utenti, quindi di utilizzo comune nell'ambito Apple e non ha niente di meno rispetto ad altri software a pagamento.

Cons

L'unico punto di svantaggio potrebbe essere la compatibilità con altri software, ma in realtà non so se è da imputare a Pages o agli altri software.

### "The best but flawed alternative to MS Office"

Despite the bugs, it is my best tool to work on Mac and iPad.

Pros

It is simple. It is quick. It is reliable. It is easy to access. Pages is a useful tool for quickly creating and editing documents. You can easily write a letter, design a document, and share it with your iPad to continue working on it later.It grew in its functionalities and is getting better and better with years.

Cons

It is still missing some functionalities or those features are limited in comparison with MS Office, the tool Apple claims to be the successor to with iWork Suite. Sometimes Pages crashes due to iCloud syncing problems, I suppose. To embed fonts is not possible or fonts used on Mac are missing then on iPad when one wants to continue ones work there. Sadly.

Reason for choosing Pages

Pricing and working between Mac and iPad or even check and edit things on iPhone.

Zelf maak ik gebruik van pages op mijn IPad. Pages zal over het algemeen tot weinig problemen leiden. Dit komt omdat het gemakkelijk in elkaar zit. Ook kun je goed bij de ICloud via bladeren. Dit maakt het overzichtelijk.

Pros

Pages is handig om in te werken. Zo kun je elk details toevoegen zoals je wilt. Van foto’s naar vormen en naar tabellen aan toe. Ook kun je het lettertype/grootte veranderen. Dit is handig om onderscheid te maken.

Cons

Een nadeel aan pages is dat pages alleen beschikbaar is voor Apple.

Pages sprak mij op het 1e gezicht al aan. Het zag er simpel uit. Daarnaast heb ik Apple en pages gebruiken op Apple is handig.

It is too good for any person who is using mathematical symbols a lot and has a Mac. There is no need of using WORD on a Mac

Pros

The ease of typing mathematical symbols is just a breeze! It directlly incorporates latex and the selection of fonts is amazing.

Cons

Sometimes it does not open .docx format files in the correct layout

Pros

Comodissima, intuitiva, veloce. Bellissimo poter realizzare documenti su Mac e modificarli in viaggio con iPhone o iPad. La mia app preferita per la produttività.

Cons

Alcune funzioni più avanzate sono scomode o un po' limitate, ma nulla di importante.

### "I Love Pages - Great Word Processor Alternative"

Any time I go to write a script, list, or anything, I open Pages and never really think twice. It's a perfect word processor and I really urge anyone who's overpaying for word to check it out. Of course, if you don't have an Apple machine, you'll have to use a browser version, but with some experience there, I'd say that's serviceable as well.

Pros

Honestly, I love Pages. Obviously, market share goes to Microsoft Word, but I started using Pages when it went free when I was in University and I never went back. I use it any time I'm writing something for personal reasons, and I don't see why I'd ever change. It's completely free and has any feature you'd want.

Cons

There's really nothing to dislike about Pages. I've used it for over a decade and have never really had a complaint.

I have used Pages since it was first introduced over 15 years ago and have almost always preferred it to competing products - especially Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Pages has a nice clean interface, great support for inserting and manipulating media items, and is generally just nicer to use than other products.

Pros

The main selling point of Pages is that it is free for Apple users and is available on all Apple platforms (Mac, iOS and iPadOS). Being a free piece of software, Pages is quite capable, with multiple formatting options and good media integration. In addition, for iCloud users, Pages seamlessly syncs with iCloud Drive and allows for multiple people to collaborate on a single document. In addition, Pages has a clean and easy to use interface, and its feature set is comparable across all platforms.

Cons

There are two major downsides to Pages - it is Apple only and lacks many of the more powerful features of competing word processors (such as Microsoft Word). While there is a web based version that can be accessed from any platform, it isn't a great experience (especially when compared to Google Docs). For most users that need a free cross-platform alternative to Word, OpenOffice and LibreOffice offers a good alternative; though at this point many people choose to go with Google Docs out of sheer convenience. In addition, for collaboration purposes, Pages is really only useful if both people use Macs.

Reason for choosing Pages

I primarily use Pages for personal documents, or documents that won't need to be shared with others (outside of converting them to a PDF). In general I prefer Pages over other products mainly because it has a nice clean interface, and it work seamlessly across all Apple platforms. However, when it comes to needing to collaborate with others, I often turn to other word processors - primarily Microsoft Word or Google Docs.

Pros

You buy it one time and can always upgrade unlike everyone else who wants you to always subscribe. It is very easy to use and the best of the best.

Cons

I wish there where more templates, even if they where an extra purchase or something.

Overall experience is good. As described earlier, initially it is hard to understand, but once you get a hang of it, you start liking it.

Pros

As with all Apple products, Pages is very good to use. Has all the features. Once you know how to use it, you would probably like it better (or may be equal is a better word) than any other similar product. It has all the features that you would need to function appropriately.

Cons

1) For beginners it is hard to understand.2) You can work real time on Pages with other Pages users only.3) It is not used popularly by other users, which makes it hard to collaborate together4) You would need to use Word or Docs regularly and when you come back to use Pages, it is pretty hard to start all over again.5) While opening Microsoft Word or Google Docs on Pages, they lose their formatting.

Pros

Gratis, in quanto acquistando un melafonino si trova già installato. ottimo programma di videoscrittura, dove si possono scegliere tantissimi modelli per cominciare. Per la mobilità è qualcosa di facile da usare. Ottima la possibilità di condividere i propri lavori.

Cons

I pochissimi strumenti che si hanno in dotazione e che non ti permettono di concludere il lavoro. Per il resto è perfetto.

Pages is a strong and free alternative to Microsoft Word for Apple product users. Though Word remains the preferred document processing tool for its extensive features, Pages has given me enough on my personal MacBook that I haven't felt any desire to pay for Word.

Pros

Pages offers a slick design easy for preparing or editing documents. There are a number of templates available to begin the document and a number of tools within, from adjusting the style and layout to creating and adding tables and charts.

Cons

Pages does not have all of the extensive features Microsoft Word offers. Pages can open Word files, but this sometimes introduces errors. The default save file for Pages is .pages which Word users are unable to open - though Pages users can export their file to a .docx.

I could not be more pleased with Pages. I have written so many documents, letters, and presentations utilizing this tool.

Pros

I really loved the different options available. You can pick a letter template and customize that. You can create a newsletter and customize each of those templates. There are report options that work great for white papers... the choices and customization is almost limitless.

Cons

I absolutely love this product. My only wish is that formatting was a little easier, it can be tricky to indent and position text exactly where I need it without throwing off other sections.

Great! Got used to it very quickly and I could never go back to Microsoft. After using pages for years, Microsoft seems like a stone-age software (and an expensive one at that!)

Pros

How easy it is to use, the great templates, the overall product design (with the vibrant colours and informational icons) and the fact that it is free!

Cons

Might need some more functionality, although I have never really needed any other softwares that Apple doesn't offer for free to its clients!

### "Page up, Scrolls down"

Overall very positive. Recently, I have been working on call sheets collaboratively on a film. My colleague can feed me information over the phone on the go and I can change it. And she can do the same. We can also work on the same document at the same time. Amazing.

Pros

I love the simplicity and collaboration features of pages. It’s very easy to learn to use and extremely simple and fast to share and collaborate with others.

Cons

It’s not for pc users. I understand why Apple does that but I don’t like it. Pc users can use the browser version but I’m not sold on that just yet. It still seems like a “work around”

La posibilidad de usar los templates con lindos diseño con calidad semiprofesional

No esmuy comptible al tratar de exportar los datos, sobre todo a word o Google docs

è il mio software di riferimento su iPhone e MacOS quando non devo fare cross editing tra windows e altro, ma non mi sentirei di preferirlo ad altri prodotti come Google Documents o Microsoft Word, perchè la compatibilità prima dell'export è decisamente fondamentale

Pros

è gratuito, perchè incluso nella suite di office: non bisogna sottoscrivere una licenza di microsoft 365 per la gestione di documenti su piattaforma Mac/iOS/iPadOS.

Cons

è importante ricordare che, non lavorando tutti su piattaforme Apple, la gestione di tali file è spesso compromessa dalla compatibilità.non è un software disponibile su windows, pertanto la gestione di .pages è spesso un problema.

I use Pages for routine correspondence, creating legal briefs, writing reports and formalising research from my note taking application. Additionally, I use Pages to open Word documents sent to me by other lawyers and I have never experienced any issue in terms of formatting.

Pros

I work as a Lawyer and was initially very hesitant to use Pages, I had no reason to be cautious! Pages has a different menu layout and doesn't seem to copy over anything from Microsoft Word. Having said that, it's very user intuitive and I found myself accessing complex features easily and quickly. I feel confident in my writing reports all day, creating and saving templates, inserting media if required and everything else a solid word processor needs. Finally, because it's Apple, the application runs quickly and seamlessly. This isn't to mention the benefits from using Apple products and services as far as the ecosystem is concerned.

Cons

I originally thought the lack of features would prohibit me from properly using Pages. The reality is all the necessary functionality is there with few exceptions.

Para usuario normal, ya que es eficiente en toda tarea básica, pero no aporta diseño gráfico profesional a sus platillas.

Pros

Es muy fácil su uso, pero no por ello sacrifica calidad, su interface es muy amigable, se puede hacer todo cuanto se desee en cuanto a formato de texto se refiere, su integración de gráficos es muy simple y eficiente. Plantillas muy bellas que ahorran la tarea de pensar en un diseño de formato.

Cons

El diseño de las páginas al que podemos acceder es muy bello pero simple, es para usuarios comunes o que no requiere mucha integración gráfica.
