### "Satisfied Bluehost Customer"

December 30, 2025

5.0

Overall I have built one website with Bluehost it was easy to use and easy to integrate. I have two users linked with my account for a successful implementation

Pros

I like how easy it is to connect with Wordpress and to add users with different permissions to the account

Cons

When users don’t accept the invite in time it glitches and won’t resend to the same email. Support did help with this

### "Bluehost is a Go To for Wordpress Users"

April 14, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been very good. Customer service has been great as it’s available 24/7 for any assistance the user may need.

Pros

Bluehost has been a great host for my Wordpress website. It makes building a website easy and affordable.

Cons

I am not a fan of the upselling of add-ons that are often necessary for your website as well as the speed that can sometimes be a bit slow.

### "Bluehost Hosting PROBLEMS"

December 23, 2025

1.0

In a word: horrible. Level one support cannot directly talk to tech support for "escalated cases." This opens the door for a complete lack of ownership, liability or follow-up. In this case I have repeated the same request every day for 8 days. To say that note taking is subjective and reactions are basically gaslighting would be putting it lightly.

Pros

Initially the price but I have been repeatedly upgraded and my costs have more than doubled YoY. Initially the ease of WP management but cPanel access and tools are constantly changed as they juggle hosting plans.

Cons

Hosting plans change and my fees increase without added features. When I ask to get the new hosting plan rate, I am forced to pay additional migration fees.

### "Tailored for Small Businesses"

January 2, 2025

4.0

It is great for someone running a just few sites. It is very affordable and you get good basic features for keeping track of the sites.

Pros

Seamless hosting and transfer setup for a website. The ability to track multiple domains/sites at a time is handy. Works amazing well with Wordpress sites and allows for plugin to get an automatic update. But it is nice to be able to turn off certain plugin update if you need to. The ability to see the logs for different aspects the site is great, like the error or access logs.

Cons

The overall look and feel for the website is basic. It could use some new features like a realtime look at the statues of the sites. It can also run slow for the sties.

### "You get what you pay for."

April 18, 2025

2.0

We were long-time customers and came back this month to set up a business email. As we found with other companies that have offshore support, it's impossible to figure out their DNS instructions and get the product up and working. We tried for a week, then went to Google Workspace--rapid setup, instant help, no worries. Businesses like mine do not have time to wait around while a company like Bluehost responds to a trouble ticket.

Pros

There are a variety of options like web hosting, domain hosting and business email. The product is more affordable than some others.

Cons

After years of outstanding support based in the U.S., they moved to an outsourced overseas model, and it's a mess--no solutions, agents speak rudimentary English, poorly trained. Plus, the product setup up is not intuitive, takes forever, and you can't get help. Not for me.

### "Held domain hostage"

October 17, 2025

1.0

Pros

I honestly cannot think of anything. I was a hostmonster user before bluehost acquired them, once they acquired them, my host went downhill.

Cons

Held domain hostage for 60 days. Beware of trusting bluehost with your domains. They will quietly charge you more for the domain each year it renews. Once you realize this and try to transfer it to a fair at-cost service like Cloudflare, you will begin your journey down a maze of roadblocks aimed to prevent you from doing so. For myself, at the end of the maze, which took multiple weeks, calls, and emails, they chose to force a 60 day lock on domain transfers. The ICANN policy clearly states that registrars can offer an opt-out policy for users, but Bluehost chooses not to. Worst experience with a company in the last 10 years. Do yourself a favor and find an honest, no fluff company like Cloudflare to host your website on.

### "Blue Host raises prices by 60% without notice!"

January 11, 2025

1.0

After Blue Host raised our price by 60% without advanced notice, I recommend that customers steer clear from Blue Host. I am planning to file a claim with the North Carolina Attorney General's office unless I can get resolution from Blue Host.

Pros

We were a happy customer of Fatcow (now known as Blue Host) for many years. The service was affordable for small businesses that did not have a lot of traffic or require advanced services. The WordPress integration was nice too.

Cons

They recently charged my business 60% more than they did 3 years ago. I requested the Customer Service Representative to show me evidence that they informed me ahead of time they were going to dramatically increase our price and they could not provide any evidence. I also called and emailed Blue Host corporate and received no help.

### "Great service, but unreliable email"

November 10, 2024

4.0

I liked everything except the email issues, but that was a big enough problem I had to abandon the product.

Pros

Easy to use, lots of options, access to the ftp and PHP editor super intuitive and useful.

Cons

The email would go down regularly. Unreliable email is a huge problem for a business, and they would typically have no solution for me except to wait it out.

### "Expensive and Dishonest"

August 10, 2023

2.0

Pros

I am not a fan. I will not use the product again.

Cons

I renewed not realizing how expensive this product is compared to others. I found the renewal process for all of the pieces confusing to understand. I was not sure what part of the product I was actually renewing. I am not techy and find it difficult to navigate. I tried to cancel and they lied to me about the renewal policy and cancelation on the phone, and refused to let me cancel. The customer support was rude. I will not recommend this product to anyone, and will never use them again.

### "Amazing hosting services"

December 1, 2023

5.0

Overall, I would recommend Bluehost services to anyone looking for web hosting service. They are easy to contact and quick to provide advice. Highly recommend.

Pros

I use Bluehost to host my WordPress blog and it is amazing. I'm not a novice online, neither am I an expert. Bluehost is easy to use and has support readily available when I have felt stuck. They are my first choice when it comes to hosting services. Highly recommend.

Cons

There's not much I have to complain about Bluehost except logging onto WordPress from Bluehost takes a few steps. However, it is a minimal complaint.

### "A little pricey for what is given"

May 29, 2022

3.0

My experience was okay. I think it would be better for someone with more computer and website building experience. The Customer service was good, when I did need help their service was pretty standard. I purchased the annual subscription and I have switched to another service after two months.

Pros

I liked that you could easily pair it with WordPress. It was nice to be able to purchase both programs together and have them function together.

Cons

It didn’t have too much to offer for the price. You don’t receive much on Bluehost and the dashboard is very limiting.

### "Bluehost Service - Good luck!"

March 31, 2024

1.0

Dreadful customer service. Avoid Bluehost and their associate iPage. They just don't care. Look at the comments on their Facebook posts and you will see what I mean.

Pros

Bluehost offers a similar service to many other providers.

Cons

Their service is terrible! They offer an email address for affiliates, but not for customers. This should ring alarm bells. It also means that those who say good things about Bluehost are most likely being paid to do so.

### "The is a reason they have an F with the BBB. So many other options"

September 6, 2024

1.0

My wife was contacted and up-sold on a 3year payment plan. They charged us for the 3 year contract and continued to charge us for the monthly plan. We never used the account they set up with the 3 year plan and also refused to return the double payments. Unfortunately we are going to have to go through the credit card company to get our money back. I have been waiting for a reason to cancel hosting for my other websites and this will do it.

Pros

They make it really easy to take your money.

Cons

Sales is pushy to up-sell for unneeded services. The Customer Service is deplorable.

### "10+ years as a customer, Bluehost is terrible!"

October 1, 2023

2.0

Bluehost used to be a great company with US-based support teams. Over the years they have slowly outsourced more of their operations overseas and everything from their Cpanel interface to customer support have become terrible.Bluehost is THE most expensive hosting plan I've ever seen... not in terms of money, but in terms of wasted time, headaches, idle developer hours and outages. Do not use them!

Pros

After 10+ years of being a customer I no longer have anything positive to say about Bluehost. If the switching costs weren't so high, I'd be gone in a heartbeat.

Cons

I have been a Bluehost customer for more than 10 years now. Their service has slowly gotten worse and worse. The Cpanel user experience is horrendous. There are error and time out messages constantly. The chat support is terrible. I frequently am on the chat for an hour with no resolution to my issue. Also they are changing their hosting plans fairly regularly and make it unclear about whether they require you to upgrade or not (they send you a vague email saying your account MAY be affected). It's an all around terrible experience... if I didn't have so many sites hosted on my account, I'd switch hosting providers in a heartbeat.

Reason for choosing Bluehost

I chose Bluehost 10 years ago because it was recommended to me by a trusted friend.

### "We moved on to Hostinger"

June 24, 2021

4.0

We were a customer for 15+ years but customer support didn't care. Business must be going well when you don't care about your long-term customers. The support team would repeatedly push our questions to someone else, wouldn't respond for several business days, and suggested that they weren't responsible if our sites were offline.

Pros

The intro promo price is what attracts most users to Bluehost. It's hard to beat a couple bucks for getting multiple websites online.

Cons

For the price, the service is actually pretty good... when it stays online. We got tired of repeated downtime (1-2x per month) and several times our sites were offline for a couple days. Customer support was not at all supportive, even trying to say that it was on us to make sure our websites had backups and that they weren't responsible if our websites were gone for good. Luckily we have redundant backups in place so it only took a little work to transfer to Hostinger (where we have only gone offline for a few minutes in the past couple years)

### " Reliable Web Hosting Provider but customer support is not good."

March 2, 2023

3.0

Bluehost is generally considered to be a reliable and user-friendly web hosting provider. They offer a wide range of hosting plans at affordable prices. The issues are limited resources on basic plans, higher renewal rates, and late customer support. s.

Pros

Bluehost is known for its reliable hosting services. The company guarantees a 99.9% uptime for all its plans, which means that the website will be up and running almost all the time. It also offers affordable pricing for its hosting plans. They offer a one-click installation for popular CMS platforms like WordPress but its user interface is a little bit confusing compared to Hostinger.Bluehost gives security features to protect your website from malware and other online threats. They also offer free SSL certificates for all their plans.

Cons

While Bluehost's basic plans are affordable, they may not offer enough resources for high-traffic websites or resource-intensive applications. The introductory pricing offered by Bluehost can be quite attractive, but the renewal rates can be significantly higher, which could be a problem if you're on a tight budget. Additional fees for backups and site migrations.Longer wait times during peak periods, so customer support is not good enough.

### "Bluehost for Beginners "

December 16, 2021

5.0

Web presence is crucial, and Bluehost simply makes it more painless to create that presence.

Pros

Bluehost makes it easy to start a website. It’s not the very cheapest around, but that’s not a bad thing, because the value for the money is what matters. Ease of use and installation, quick help whenever necessary, strong wordpress integration, and beautiful presentation all make this software worth the buy for those that really have no idea what they’re doing.

Cons

I wish that customer service was a bit more clear. They were helpful with my problems so far, but I didn’t always understand all the things they were doing to solve those problems. This is only an issue because understanding the process more would help me solve problems on my own.

### "Perfect Hosting Solution "

January 21, 2022

5.0

Bluehost is my go-to host and when looking for a hosting provider for a small to medium website, I highlight recommend them.

Pros

Bluehost is affordable, has an easy to use interface, and outstanding support function. Even with little to know technical experience one would be able to get around in the extranet. In case you get stuck, there's always the support chat with a very responsive and professional team. Any of my questions have always been answered within minutes.

Cons

Some claim that Bluehost is not the most ideal host when it comes to website speed. However, I feel that they have greatly improved on this point.
