Hopefully, the developers can improve it over the time. Pros The main advantage of Fraps is that it's very simple to deploy, configure and use. If your task is to only count FPS used software and games, it can be very useful. Cons However, when it comes to other functionalities of Fraps, it is very mediocre. I definitely wouldn't recommend using it for screen recordings: first, it will consume a lot of memory from your precious hard drive capacity, second, the videos come somewhat laggy (at least based on my personal experience). Also, their preferences are highly customizable Cons Fraps is a pretty basic app. That is why there is not much that can be criticized for a program that just monitors the number of frames of your programs and records your screen.
