I love being able to purchase something that is of high value and given the opportunity to pay over time. Pros I loove Afterpay! It is super convenient and allows you to get more for your money and make payments over time. Cons Not a lot of stores use After pay, so sometimes you were limited to what you could used it for. But most likely, you will find one of your favorite stores or brands that offer it. I like the convenience, affordable monthly payments, easy account management and that it's super user friendly. They have a mobile app and you can access it on a computer. Super convenient and easy to learn. Pros I absolutely love Afterpay. The no interest and affordable payments make purchasing something that is expensive a lot easier. It's super convenient and easy to sign up. There aren't any hard credit checks and a lot of retailers use the platform. Cons Obviously a downfall is that there are late fees if you don't make the payments on time and sometimes it may lead certain people to spend more than they think they can afford monthly. April 21, 2025 5.0 My overall experience with Afterpay is very beneficial for a business and a customer. This payment plan allows businesses to get more customers because of the flexibility it brings. It helps the client make big purchases but make it more manageable. Pros Afterpay is an amazing addition to include to your business and personal life. If clients need to make a large purchase, they can split the payment into 4 charges (without any interest). These payments are made every 2 weeks. It is amazing for people that need to spread out a large payment. I have also used it for my own personal purchases for large items. Cons Afterpay does have late fees if you do not pay your payment on time. Although, you can set up automatic payments for the card you used the first payment for, so unless you do not have the money in your account, you will not be charged a late fee. I think there could be a one time payment missed forgiveness. Mistakes happen and having to start back over with minimum credit isn’t fair to the ones who always pay on time and missed one payment. Pros Being able to pay off early. Cons My payment was due February 14th and due to my hectic work schedule I forgot but made my payment the next day on February 15th. Afterpay lowered my available amount from $1000 to $700 and dropped my credit by 12 points. A 7 day grace period is given but they still punish you for being 1 day late. The home page is set up perfectly and easy to navigate. Stores listed with image and words that are great to be able to see them. Different things listed at the start making it a great experience without the hassle of not finding what you need or want. Adding my card for payments isn't hard at all. You can extend your payment date if needed. Lots of stores listed. Some places have AfterPay as a option at checkout making it quick and easy. I purchased through Afterpay and the retailer filed for bankruptcy before I revived my order. I asked them for assistance and was turned down and told to contact the retailer, who no longer is responding to emails. Complete waste of money, find a service that actually cares about it's customers. AVOID Afterpay!! Pros Easy method for paying for something with quick checkout. Service similar to Affirm . Applying doesn't impact your credit & provides more credit to loan once you've established a good standing account with Afterpay. Pros Flexibility & more freedom: The application provides options of how much you want to pay & how often. Cons Software makes it seem like there aren't interest payments, however at the end of the payment cycle, I've ended up paying much more than what was originally billed. This provides consumer enough time to save for the succeeding payments with so little interests as compared to ordinary credit cards that has great inflated interests. Pros This is probably the best way to purchase an item and pay later on an agreed payment period. The feature that I like the most about Afterpay is easy way to pay for your purchased items either in store or online. It also gives users the flexibility to pay in 4 easy instalments. Cons The payments being spread out into 4 instalment periods (2 weeks between each payment) is great but I do not like the scheme of charging the customers 25% of the total amount on the onset. I attempted to use Afterpay. Afterpay charged me but the transaction failed with IKEA but Afterpay still charged me $30.85, they took directly from my account. 10/4 I contacted Ikea and they informed me that the transaction failed and to get a refund from Afterpay. I started the process that day. It's the 14th of October and still getting run around from them!! Pros Nothing! I had an absolutely horrible experience with Afterpay! Having to speak to AI while trying to handle an unauthorized purchase made on my account is frustrating. September 24, 2024 1.0 Customer service sucks. They do not care about helping people. Blocked me after having my bank account hacked and only owing $12.96!! Pros At first a good way to help manage payments. After that horrible Cons I owed only $12.96. Then my bank account was hacked. Successfully paid the balance and still blocked me from future use. DO NOT USE THIS EVER!!
