great as long you don't need anything from the staff.

Pros

Great interface and software. User-friendly for both staff and employees, well designed. The app is great but it's very expensive to use stripe for payments. it's 2.3% of turnover. Nonetheless kind of good.

Cons

The support is close to useless. They promised the world. (We were we clubfit and we went to Momence with \[sensitive content hidden\] and the team, promising a seamless support, but the only seamless thing is the 2k a month they take out of our bank account. They staffed up the migration, facebook and leads didn't match correctly and still today it's a mission to get help with anything that is not already in the self help question.

### "BETTER options don't choose momence"

Seems like customer service has no idea what to do. Has no idea how their system works. Until you get higher up or work with people who are on the manger side of things, good luck getting anything figured out through chat or email. Talk to a supervisor to get somewhere.

Pros

I like the texting and in app features. That is about all.

Cons

We moved to momence because they "SOLD" us on we are so much better than wellness living. That won't happen here. Don't worry you will love this softeware more because its newer. Ever since we became customers it has been Thanks for your business, talk to you later. Billing issues, App issues, Software outages, Clients not being billed properly. Reports not working. Wish we would have stayed with Wellness living! At least the issues would have been the same and we would have been in the boat we are in without paying more for a system and software that we were told was better than WL. Don't recommend them. You get what you pay for and there are far better options than momence.

### "Don't do it! Stay clear of Momence!"

Stay clear as a small business! I've been trying to cancel my business account since October and was charged again today. I will now have to begin disputing charges on my credit card. There is no way to remove payment information, and when someone rarely responds to my request to cancel my business account, it is all talk and no action.

Pros

There isn't much to like. Although they were very responsive when I set up my business nearly two years ago, it was all downhill from there.

Cons

There is a lack of support and customer service. There is no easy way to cancel a business account. I've been trying to get someone to cancel my account for two months. In the meantime, I keep getting charged monthly, and I'm no longer using it.

### "Go with Mind Body Instead"

The reporting is terrible and for anyone running a business who needs to know their metrics this is not the software to buy. I own a small personal training gym and we are constantly trying to figure out workaround’s as I think the software must be designed for completely different businesses than the one I run. The reports are next to useless and there are so many metrics I am looking for that I cannot get access to.

Pros

Easy to get a chat agent. It’s a bit less expensive than if you go with one of the more established small business software providers

Cons

Chat agents are often very unfamiliar with the software so it takes a long time to get and answer. In the several times that my issue has been upgraded to the Email team. I’ve been told they would be in touch with within the next few hours. To date I’ve never heard from anyone on the email team. I’m not sure if it even exists.

Momence has been a fairly simple platform to use with quite a bit of functionality - scheduling , livestreaming, payment processing - for our health/wellness arm of the business

Pros

Extremely easy to use from the administrative side

Cons

Clients occasionally report glitches in payment processing as well as receiving links to class signups at the beginning of their payment cycle - this has been an ongoing issue and has always been resolved, but sometimes it has taken up to 5 days to resolve

Overal do not recommend if you make less than 100,000k USD per year. The application fees and the customer service is BS.

Pros

The company was great when they first started with very few hick-ups here and there. HOWEVER

Cons

ZERO Notice to changes in features in your plan. Requiring upgrades constantly. Requiring new upgrades while still charging application fees to the owner

I chose momence because their features include sliding scale pricing, payment plans, and integrations with all our studio partners. Their customer service has been really great and responsive.

Cons

It's a bit pricier than some other options, but for our 20 person studio it offers the perfect amount of features which have made our students stickier.

Looks promising, but the support is atrocious! For two months, I was repeatedly assured that the support team was investigating a simple issue. During this time, my business suffered significant losses due to a non-functional tracking feature. Despite their claims of "looking into it," there were no updates or evidence of any real effort. Maybe they prioritize bigger clients over smaller businesses? We don't make millions per year. If support matters to you, do NOT choose Momence. A non-technical friend resolved the issue in just 12 minutes – an easy fix that Momence’s technical team failed to identify after months of supposed investigation.

### "Beyond terrible experience "

As others have noted, there are serious glitches and Momence “support” is entirely lacking. I have awhile left on my contract but will switch the MOMENT I finish demos and researching new options. Dealing with Momence is a small business owner’s worst nightmare. I reported an issue a week and a half ago and they refuse to help me. First they said it was resolved, second they lied and said it was my fault and third they said I had to fix the problem myself. They will respond to your inquiry after a few days, but they won’t help you. I felt like pulling my hair out and banging my head against the wall with the nonsensical responses I received. In all that time, they could have just fixed the issue! In addition to my waivers and membership contracts being lost with “signature outdated” (a feature they added without my knowledge or consent), I have had confirmation emails go out with the WRONG time (I mean, come on! That’s basic!) and I’ve had students show up to the studio for classes that happened on the past because they displayed incorrectly. Save yourself the headache and choose a competent company! Facebook groups in my field are filled with other users who have had similar and even worse issues with Momence. I can’t wait to be done with them.

Pros

It used to be good 2+ years ago. Something drastic has changed and it’s very disappointing.

I think Momence is a great tool, I think the team is great overall, and they are very attentive to customers needs and take on feedback. I think there is a higher focus on gyms and other event based businesses than appointment based businesses and a higher focus on fitness and "wellness" over health (e.g physios and medial massage) so something to consider. A couple of my leaves are 1) the payment processor fees are very high 2) the limited options for payment integrations and 3) no HIPCAS or HealthPoint health fund claims integration 4) subscription fees are in US so you are paying extra for that from concession fees 5) which I think has been the biggest let down by far was the migration. It's left a very bitter taste in my mouth, and I think the worse part is the lack of genuine care shown for how the gaps in the migration processes affects business owners, the lack of ownership of the gaping holes in the process and what seems like no desire to even consider reviewing the process for improvement.

Pros

I love the simplicity, the elegance of the app, the richness of features and the pace at which they make changes. I also love the availability of support both chat and phone. I love that the product and dev teams act on feedback quickly. I think its fairly well priced for the feature set and if they keep improving at the pace that they are then I'm looking forward to the future.

Cons

The biggest draw back for me was the data migration. I'm utterly disappointed that 1) they did not disclose how limited there import approach was, in fact it was the opposite 2) it seemed like they let me put a tonne of instructions to gather to placate me, then they promptly ignored a lot of it 3) decision were made on my behalf (e.g. they imported my appointments as events, they showed the appointments payment as taken by the person that imported them on the date of the import rather that the original data) 4) the team didn't think to look at anomalies or confirm anything with me or do any data checks or reviews before committing the data it's been 2 months and my data is still useless. The thing the migration team did really well which I thank them for is consolidating duplicates and importing our gift cards.

It seems like Momence was the best mix of usability, accessibility, flexibility, support, and transparency in pricing. It also hit on all the main features that we wanted and the administration of it was less complex than others, while the interface and feature set was more well rounded overall. Also the overall reviews leaned in Momence favour when it came to overall satisfaction with the provider itself.

Better clinics was too limited overall and had a lot of bugs. it wasn't mobile friendly, didn't have gift card or membership features, had no online store capability, no customer app or portal so ended up with multiple duplicates, no staff app and had a very limited design. Also features didn't improve frequently enough to warrant staying with them. The team is great though, very supportive they just had a very small team to customer base and the app wasn't evolving fast enough.

Pros

I love the simplicity of Momence. There are no complicated interfaces - everything makes sense and is easy to set up and use. Momence has thought of almost everything you need to run a successful studio and has brought it together in one platform. This means there is no need for complicated 3rd party links to CRM tools or leads management software or a seperate video hosting platform for on-demand classes/courses. Momence puts you in total control of your client journey from prospect to member.

Cons

I think Momence can do better in terms of client education. While I can find most of what I am looking for, sometimes the explanations are not overly detailed or don't have a business use case. This could be because they are continually innovating and improving their product. I can envision a "Momence Academy" with step by step guides of all the features and how they can benefit your business. I'm sure it's on the roadmap!

### "Monumental Waste of Time"

One month after launch I requested to cancel my 12 month subscription which I paid up front - I was told I could request a refund at any time - and while they agreed to refund me, it's been nearly 7 weeks and while I continue to have issues with the software I have had no funds at all returned to me. I have had more issues in less than 3 months than I ever did in 4 years with my previous software. The product did not perform or provide as I was told it would and it's been a huge waste of my time and energy. Particularly disappointed with the lack of customer service.

Pros

The only positive was the ease of SMS usage. I have nothing positive to say otherwise.

Cons

I was sold this software as an all in one solution, and while we had demos and I had access to a limited free version in the lead up to launch, it was only when we went live I was able to see the limited functionality of the on-demand and course library - which was essentially a step down from the previous product I used. Additionally, the transition was anything but smooth, all of our memberships were moved over, however these all had issues such as being cancelled for no reason but still allowing bookings for classes or double charging members. As an administrator and business owner I have been locked out TWICE in the space of 6 weeks - both times for a period of more than 72 hours. I had to escalate the issue myself to get it resolved.

I have had a very positive experience with Momence. It took a bit to retrain my senior members to work the new platform when I switched from another product, but most people just coming into the experience say it is very straightforward and easy to navigate.

Pros

They are pro active at keeping the software updated and adding new features that enhance the customer experience and the admin experience.

Cons

Sometimes I have to do a workaround if an instructor wants something that the software just isn't set up for. But I have always been able to find a workaround.

I went with Momence because the team was so engaging and even though I was afraid of the higher price, the platform seemed more solid, everyone that I have worked with has been genius at helping me understand and use the platform, and everyone has been very cheerfully responsive.

Momence is more up-to-date software with all the features I need for more than half of what I was spending before. I am so pleased with with Momence and all that is has to offer for me, my teachers and my students!

Pros

Momence is extremely easy to learn, implement and use on a regular basis. It's also very customer friendly! My clients are very happy with the improvement from our old software to book and purchase online.

Cons

The marketing tools are amazing and can also be improved to add more than one variable when determining who should receive a campaign. But I know they are always upgrading and adding features, so I look forward to seeing this option soon!

I wasn't actually looking to change products because I had been a client of Mindbody for over 10 years. But once I got a demo, I knew I needed to make the switch! I didn't even bother to look into any other products!

See above. Amazing to think of how much money I save each month (minimum $200/mo in savings) plus how much time I have to create content instead of uploading, downloading and sharing.

Pros

Momence has taken me from 4 platforms to one. I used to have to record on zoom, upload to vimeo, send to clients and use the payment processing and booking through another platform. Momence does this all automatically, reducing my work hours and my expenses by a substantial amount. It is affordable. The help desk is unbelievable for me and also for my clients -- timely and they always solve the issues. This is a company that is always improving itself and is starting from an already impressive base. I truly would recommend them to anyone! Oh and I have used both MindBody and Wellness Living previously. I have been in this industry and a studio owner for over 25 years....

Cons

In creating online courses, I do find it confusing to get all of the necessary pieces to work together -- subscription vs on demand course etc. I am learning to use the community tier feature and think it could have more but I am still learning so unsure....

### "Extremely happy and impressed with Momence"

Pros

First and foremost, our customers prefer it over other software we have used. We spend far less time trouble-shooting client booking issues with Momence than with previous software. On the back end, we find Momence to be very user-friendly. Set-up was pretty easy; it took a lot of time because of the size of our operation, but we were fully supported every step of the way. The software is very intuitive so we really didn't need much support. We love the flexibility available in programming classes, events, appointments, retreats and semesters (series), and the options for how far out to display classes to the public separate from what displays to us on the back end. Momence combines in-person and virtual classes into one for payroll purposes, saving me a lot of time compared to WL. Analytics and Reports meet my business needs and they've been very responsive about suggestions for new reports. The marketing suite is great with tons of templates to use and options to build custom campaigns too. Support is super responsive and the techs all seem really knowledgable. I love this software.

Cons

There's not much that we don't like, which is why I'm writing this review after 6 months of use. I suppose I'd prefer it to cost less but I've learned that one gets what one pays for!

I can't remember which other 3 products I researched, but Momence seemed like the best fit. I was a bit worried because they are a newer player in the software, but I'm so happy I made the choice.

When I bough the business it operated on MBO. I switched to WL at the beginning of the pandemic mostly for pricing and zoom integration. Sadly, we had a very poor onboarding experience and it was downhill from there. It takes 3 clicks in Momence to do what it took 7 clicks to do in WL. Also, although the WL support team were friendly and helpful, it often took a long time to reach someone and then even longer to resolve more complex issues because they'd have to be escalated and then I''d have to wait several days to even hear that the problem was being worked on. I didn't go back to MBO because of their pricing and because I didn't want to be locked into their proprietary virtual class software.

### "New Momence - Pilates Studio User of 5 studios"

We have been with Mindbody for more than 8 years, I hated mind body however thought it would be too hard to transition to another provider plus they would all be the same. I was absolutely wrong! The transition was tough, I wont deny. However the benefits outweigh the transition. The ease of customer contacts via in-app messaging, contacting all clients on a class list, sms, emails and marketing contacts are amazing! Then their customer service is fabulous, they are always there to help and also take your feedback on board and actually action feedback also. Mindbody would NEVER do that, even when I have 5 studios! If your thinking of finding a system that will help reduce admin hours and enable you to contact via one point of contact all retained in the Momence inbox, I highly recommend them.

Our overall experience has been postitive and I am looking forward to using even more of the features and functionality.

Pros

I love all the features and fucntionality! Especially the integrated CRM that includes texting, email and staff reminders. The ability to create automated marketing sequences. The On Demand Video Library and easy livestream Zoom integration. The customized permissions that you can assign to teachers and staff. The review management funtion, leads integration, live chat support, marketing support and their mobile app. Momence was one of the only studio software that had everything we needed!

Cons

The on boarding was a bit of a challenge. We had some issues with the transferring of data from our previous software and a couple bumps in the road on transition day. The software takes awhile to learn and is not as intuitive or user friendly as I would like for set-up and ease of use, but now that I'm more familiar and comfortable using it, I am very happy we made the switch.

### "Forward Thinking Software"

Although we had a few hiccups during the onboarding experience, we appreciated the immediate support and answers to questions, as well as timely resolution to support issues during start up. We still have a lot to learn and hoping to maximize the customer success contact to help with this.

Pros

Momence is forward thinking in its features and open to feedback to support future updates. Their support center is very quick in their responses and work to resolve any issues as fast as possible. In addition to an onboarding team, a customer success contact is also assigned to provide ongoing training on the software to increase confidence in the system. Having the opportunity to demo the system and have personal hands-on experience also helped solidify our decision with moving to Momence.

Cons

Would like to see calendar integrations in the future, as well as future scheduling for recurring classes to be able to update ahead of time versus waiting for the minimum 5 classes ahead. Need the ability to restrict classes by age as well as an overall calendar that shows all classes, appointments etc. for entire staff with the public view being able to add closing days. Otherwise, the software has much more than previous software used.

Every contact has been positive, supportive and informative. Each person I have spoken with knows their stuff and if they don't have the answer they track it down for me.

Pros

It has the basic features that we were looking for with lots more down the pipe. All inclusive pricing was huge for us as I felt like I was getting nickeled and dimed on our previous system. The support has been awesome.

Cons

I have provided feedback about some items that I would love to see in the software, including ACH processing, ability to print invoices, etc. Nothing we can't work around as the system is being developed quickly.

I love the price! It's worth the trouble I'm having.

Pros

I'm use to a different software so I am having a little difficulty getting use to the terms and nuances. I like it I think??? Give me more time to work with it! What I like the most is the ease of booking classes.

Cons

There are a few things missing. I can't book more than one appointment at a time unless the clients have the same membership package. For example. I have a mother and daughter who come at the same time. 10:30 on Saturday. BUT the mother works out 1/2 hour and the daughter works out 1hour. And they have different memberships. I can figure out a way to schedule them at the same time! It's impossible.The memberships and appts and the boards are confusing to me. I have alot of different options and I have to do a "work-around" to get things to work.

Overall its a good experience. I like that y'all are making changes frequently and are pretty flexible! It would be cool to have a user council call with other Momence users and discuss best practices.

Pros

I think it's pretty intuitive and you're able to easily make changes to the schedule. I think the sms texting is awesome - I also think adding a customized sms texting group would be amazing! I love the staff they are very helpful! I also love the tagging feature an saving of static vs dynamic "lists". It would be nice to have a feature to auto email a student that has only been to the studio one time in 3 months or set a time frame automatically.

Cons

I think reporting needs to improve and the way to download reports. For example pulling a teachers classes you should be able to do in one download all classes and individual students and info in one file. Not individual files for each class. Also, I think it would be helpful to distinguish between membership and class passes for example drop-in or a 5 or 10 class pass should not fall under the category of membership - membership should be revenue committed for a continual basis by contract. Also it would be nice on the user profile to separate out the buying/purchases from the attendance

### "Great idea but poor implementaion"

I was hoping for a better experience with custormer service in setting up my software and making sure things run smoothly. The chat help is only useful at showing what video to look at but they don't seem to have the knowledge to be more help with specific issues. Emails to support don't even get a response that the message was received and that is the same with billing.

Pros

I love the CRM and ability to better interact with my clients from my scheduling software.

Cons

It is very hard to see what the clients are being charged when using discounts and special offers, sometimes I void a charge but it leaves the visit as "paid". The reports are off.
