### "AWS Management Console Review"

January 26, 2025

4.0

Overall, my experience with the AWS Management Console has been great. I love its powerful and centralized interface, which makes it easy to manage multiple services like EC2 and S3 in one place. The built-in monitoring tools and resource organization features are particularly useful, and switching between regions is seamless. It’s a robust platform that simplifies cloud resource management effectively.

Pros

The User Interface: The dashboard is allows me to navigate through services quickly.

Cons

It can be challenging to locate specific features or services without prior experience, especially with the frequent updates.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing AWS Management Console

I didn't choose AWS Management Console over other products as I am not a decision maker then, but I'd use it because of its comprehensive features, scalability, and seamless integration with AWS services. It offers a centralized platform to manage cloud resources effectively, which is why it's widely adopted over alternatives.

### "So easy to use"

April 10, 2026

5.0

I love the AWS Management Console. There are still some bugs the team need to work on. For example, when signed in, sometimes, the first URL request never loads so you have to refresh the page twice. Some CloudFront distribution graphs also break or reset if you're trying to do anything complex. I still love AWS.

Pros

The AWS Management Console was updated a while back with new UI and it has been so much easier to use since. There are updates daily on the UI almost I can tell that a LOT of effort went into this. The simple and clean design makes it so easy to provision and manage most AWS resources.

Cons

I dislike how naming can sometimes be a little weird. For example, if you set up an AWS EC2 instance on the console, it will name the VPC using weird names which aren't bad but it can be confusing because the VPC then has an internal name and a display name.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing AWS Management Console

I was provided GCP access with lots of credit for free at university years ago. It was an AWFUL and unreliable experience. You would up a server and it wouldn't show and then show randomly but then disappear again. The GCP docs were also quite poor compared to AWS at the time.

### "A steep learning curve, yet powerful for navigating the AWS Service Library"

April 2, 2026

3.0

From the perspective of a smaller business and a solo AWS administrator without prior experience, engaging with AWS infrastructure has been a steep learning curve but never fails in fascinating me with the never ending array of services and complex architectures that can be achieved. Coming from a Windows On-prem background the security management is not intuitive initially, but the interfaces are clean and easy to look at, meaning that the inevtiable hours you'll spend staring at the console troubleshooting permissions or errors feels that little bit less tedious.

Pros

It provides direct access to a plethora of enterprise services and solutions in a centralised console that would have traditionally required enormous investment of time, resources and expertise to be able to investigate and/or utilise. The management console has what seems to be an extremely deep learning curve, but if you are somewhat familiar with the way the services are delivered (i.e interactions and distinctions between IAM users; roles; groups; manager vs in-line policies etc) then it can begin to grow into a powerful tool. Once familiarised enough there are plenty of options and third party solutions that can be integrated and architected to automate and standardise on processes for service delivery which I think is where AWS really begins to excel.

Cons

It is a gargantuan task to undertake with little or no experience, unless coming from another cloud provider potentially such as Azure or GCP. To that end you could spend a hundred hours on the platform and still find new services and errors that are completely new to you; when paired with frequent updates and changes to services, architecture and command formatting this can make managing in small or medium businesses a very daunting task. The use of third party tools such as Intruder (automatically scans your env for security concerns) feels like a baseline requirement for security and risk management.

### "Reliable cloud management tool with a steep learning curve"

November 1, 2025

4.0

Overall my experience with the AWS Management Console has been really positive. It’s a powerful and reliable platform that gives me complete control over my cloud environment, whether I’m launching EC2 instances, managing S3 storage, or configuring IAM roles. Once you get familiar with it, the workflow feels efficient and the integration between services is seamless. That said, there’s definitely a learning curve. the number of options and depth of settings can be intimidating at first. But after spending some time with it, it becomes an indispensable tool for managing and monitoring everything in AWS.

Pros

I like how everything I need is in one place. I can easily manage EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and IAM roles without having to jump between different tools. The interface has improved a lot over time and feels more intuitive now, with quick access to recently used services and a solid search bar that actually works well. I also like the reliability. it’s fast, stable, and gives me clear visibility into my resources and costs. Overall, it just makes managing AWS services much smoother once you get used to where everything is.

Cons

it can feel a bit overwhelming at times, especially with so many services and settings packed into one place. Some sections, like IAM permissions or networking configurations, are not very intuitive and require a lot of clicks to get simple things done. The layout isn’t always consistent across services, so it sometimes feels like you’re using a bunch of different tools stitched together. It would be great if the console were a bit more streamlined and userfriendly, especially for everyday management tasks.

### "Critical for AWS Services."

January 9, 2026

5.0

Overall experience would be positive. I don't have any experience with it so any page/tab I get to is my first time getting to it. It is easy to navigate, but their documentation is very detailed in teh event I need help with something.

Pros

We use the AWS Management Console to manage our various AWS services. It has a small learning curve, a lot of features, and Customer Support is great whenever it is needed.

Cons

Nothing I can think of. It is easy to use and I never have any problems navigating to anything I need.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with my experience using the AWS Management Console. The interface is clean, organized, and easy to navigate, making it simple to manage services, deploy resources, and monitor performance in one place. Most tasks like launching VMs, configuring storage, and adjusting settings can be done quickly without much hassle. While some advanced features require add-ons or extra costs, the console itself feels reliable, responsive, and user-friendly. It’s a solid platform that makes cloud management efficient and convenient.

Pros

Easy to use, fast VM creation, and blazing internet speeds. Reliable cloud for teams daily usage and collaboration!

Cons

Good core services, but some features cost extra and require paid add-ons to fully utilize AWS today

### "A simple but powerful Cloud Management Console"

December 17, 2022

4.0

Pros

AWS Management Console has a lot of features to like, it has everything you can ever need to manage your cloud infrastructure. But what I like the most is the simplicity of the user interface.

Cons

Everything seems to be alright. But based on my recent experience it still needs some improvement in terms of accessibility and options. For example, while raising support requests it should have the option to mention the severity and urgency of the problem.

### "Efficient cloud computing journey"

December 7, 2024

5.0

Highly satisfied with the usage of this cloud service. With a clear understanding of one's requirements and the right selection of AWS services, its full potential can be effectively harnessed

Pros

All services can be utilized in various combinations within a defined framework, seamlessly integrating to meet specific demands. Cost optimization is a key feature, allowing for fine-tuning of resource usage and tracking of underutilized resources. Also on-demand functionalities and pre-defined scaling of compute and storage resources further enhance cost efficiency.

Cons

The cost forecast is somewhat inaccurate, it gives a tentative estimate. Deleting instances can be challenging, even with super admin roles. While cost management is possible, the pricing feels a bit steep.

### "Great for more complex projects. "

January 5, 2025

4.0

Overall I think AWS is an industry leader due to the ability to make anything you want with their mass amount of services though it is not for the faint hearted and can come with a high learning curve and cost.

Pros

Breadth of services, customisable, good API.

Cons

Complexity is high though there are plenty of good resources and documentation. Cost can also be high depending on the requirements.
