I find it very useful for both its original use as an anonymous subscription buster and for checking transmitted emails for accuracy before starting a widespread campaign.

Pros

Mailinator is my go to spopt for testing my emails for wider campaigns without having to worry about offending someone or sending to a wrong address list.

Cons

Sometimes the mail doesn't come in as fast as I would like

I love that we have an option to conduct system testing with a working email to test full functionality and performance.

Cons

Messages expire after 7 days - I wasn't aware of that when I started, so I had to redo some testing.

Thanks for the review, Michelle! There isn't an expiration time for messages. It's actually due to the storage allocated for your account. Storage is FIFO, so new messages bump out the older ones when you run out of storage. Paid plans come with more storage and the ability to add more if needed.

Mailinator's public inboxes lack privacy, and limited features in the free plan can be restrictive for some use cases, also some time inbox is not properly working.

It is a struggle to find negatives about the efficiency of the services provided by Mailinator. Fast, Efficient, painless is how I would sum up utilizing Mailinator.

Pros

Create as many private email addresses as you need. Throw away email addresses for testing without cluttering your inbox, or risking getting on spam lists.

Cons

Service is popular enough that some sites are blocking all known Mailinator domains.

Overall I had nothing but a good experience using mailinator and we use it all the time for testing purposes

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. In under a minute you can setup a temporary inbox to use for testing etc.

Cons

I wish there was a way to set a timer on the inbox so we could keep emails for a short period when checking something that may take a bit longer.

Great service and customer service. I use it to make sure everything is working fine on our sign up process on our jobs board, Nurses.co.uk.

Pros

It works, is super easy to use and there's nothing else like it that I've found. We use it to check the UX on our small job board platform is working fine.

I can't think of anything I haven't liked about it. It's just easy to use.

Pros

I loved the thing that I can create as many emails as I can without worry. Also it gave free Pro account, that's a plus point for me. Now I'll be able to see old emails also

I need similar feature for SMS as free public email. Also the monthly limit should be increased.

Easy to sign up and use (even the free version). Great for testing emails.

Cons

In the free Pro version, while I had my own private inbox, after so many days it deleted emails, which meant for longer email journeys that I was testing I had to document things before Mailinator would remove the emails.

Pretty hard to navigate documentation. Also, I can't use / in email addresses if I want ot fetch email by API

Pros

Integrated single view for all mailboxes, this is very useful for Salesforce testing because for Email & functionality testing, each test user needs a mailbox. While testing with different user personas, i dont have to switch between different mailboxes thus saving me time & energy for maintaining username/credentials for each mail account. While using Mailinator, I use the team personal domain for all user emails and hence can see all emails triggered from salesforce for all users in a single view

Cons

No complaint, but can I request SMS testing be made available for verfied pro memebers ?Also, can we have some more tutorial videos on how to use mailinator API

Hi Subhasis, Thanks for your review. We're working on creating some more content and we'll definitely take you request for API lessons into consideration. Regarding SMS; there is a public SMS number, but it gets shutdown pretty frequently because, well, the internet. SMS numbers are procured on a customer by customer basis because they don't have a standardized set of rules they adhere to. Sometimes messages get broken into pieces, some customers need numbers that are local to the country that they are in, etc. We'd love to set you up with a subscription that includes SMS, as it seems you have the need and the right sort of use case.
