Pros Mailinator is a life saver! it has helped the test team here at pepper content automate lot of our onboarding/login flows thanks to the ability of accessing OTPs via emails.The ease of use and setup is flawless and the APIs work smoothly.Documentation is good and the customer support is very fast. The verified pro version is a great product for small startups which may not have the resources to get paid version.I learn about mailinator in my current company and it is definitely going to be one of my favorite products going forward. Cons Nothing really - may be some more APIs for mail parsing. Sometimes I get a bounce message which can be removed. And I like that I can forward them to my main email for further evaulation. Cons I do with I could change my domain name, but I imagine that would be something I would have to pay for. We use Mailinator for creating dummy addresses for workflow and software testing, and it saves us from bogging down our actual inboxes with test data. Mailinator has made it easy to test complex workflows involving multiple stakeholders without needing to toggle between a variety of inboxes--we now get all our test communications flowing into one place, which has enabled us to speed up our QA process significantly. Cons I don't have any complaints about the product. If they could eventually roll out an SMS inbox without needing to use the API, that would be incredible, but that's a big ask and is the only "weakness" I can think of offhand. We didn't need to change anything in our product, we can just send emails to specific email addresses and it works! Cons While Mailinator does a lot, it would have been great if we could validate what emails look like when they are received using various email clients. That might be out of the scope of what Mailinator tries to do, but that's the only missing thing we need in regards to our email testing. This makes testing our log ins for our software super easy. I can build multiple accounts in our system because I can assign new email addresses. Mailinator has made testing for a person new to software development and testing very easy. Pros Mailinator is super easy to learn and use. Being new to software testing and a one person team I needed something I could put in place quickly. It also enabled me to eliminate the issue of creating multiple emails and managing an email app. Mailinator ticked all the boxes. Upgrading to a private inbox makes it easy to track and manage all the emails I'm using. Being US based is also a key factor in using Mailinator. Cons Being new to testing, and doing uncomplicated testing, I don't have any items I don't like. It fits what I need to do. Reason for choosing Mailinator Ease of use, US based, fit my needs, price.
