## What is ONLYOFFICE Docs?

ONLYOFFICE Docs is an open-source office suite for real-time co-authoring and document management within business platforms. Using its editors, you can create and edit documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms and PDFs. Its diagram viewer can also view Visio files. The key features are the highest compatibility with OOXML formats (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), advanced security and a vast array of editing and collaborative tools. Docs perfectly works in combination with more than 40 platforms (Nextcloud, ownCloud, Alfresco, Confluence, etc.) or can be used as part of ONLYOFFICE DocSpace, a room-based document management solution. ONLYOFFICE Docs offers an integrated AI plugin that allows you to use numerous AI assistants, e.g. ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Mistral, Claude, Google Gemini, xAI and more. In my experience I started using this suite because at some point I need to use free software, so it was a very good option to replace the paid suite that I previously used.

Pros

It is a good alternative suite for creating and editing documents, I use its free version.

Cons

For those who are used to using another suite, it may be difficult to change to libreoffice, since the interface and many functionalities change, however with the passage of time the user adapts to its use.

OnlyOffice est la suite que j'attendais. Meilleure que MS, simple d'utilisation avec les onglets, 99% de ce que l'on cherche basiquement sur une suite office est présent.

i was strugling to do most of my reports online as most available alternatives were slow and complicated.Only office made it easy for me to timeuosly create, edit and do my reports with easy.

Fast, free, and easy to sign up and start using (literally an email, click to confirm, make a password, and login is done) and loaded with familiar and favorite formatting features, this word processing website leaves nothing to be desired except a quick way to word count. Overall, this online word processing website is the way to go. It autosaves likes a beast and no matter where I am or where my laptop is I can ALWAYS access my documents online whenever I need them. I'm fairly tech savvy and find their plugins sadly not worth the hassle, but those who can master them have limitless functions as their fingertips. Regardless of your skill level, this word processor will be your new best friend.

Pros

ONLYOFFICE is one of the best alternatives to Google Docs and Microsoft Word. It's fast, free, and simple to get started and use. It's layout and formating features will make you forget you're not using a big name brand. It autosaves changes and drafts almost too much, which means you'll never lose your work (like literally ever, it's impossible) but if you're not careful with labeling your drafts (even in multiple open tabs) you'll have to sift through draft saves to find your stuff. I personally love this feature and if you've ever tried to use version/draft tracker on Google Docs this puts it to shame. Collaboration is also a breeze and very undersold for how much effort Google Docs raves about theirs. Use the personal version though, and you'll have to do a search engine for ONLYOFFICE personal but it's worth it. If you've never tried ONLYOFFICE, it's absolutely worth checking out.

Cons

Their website is clunky although it looks well organized from a cursory glance, it's poorly sorted. It's geared to get you to spend money on their product instead of using the personal version, which is free and fabulous. The search feature works well though. My biggest struggle is that it doesn't word count and although there are plugins with literally limitless functions and formulas, I've tried several times to add a word count plugin both officially form their help support and from search engine result assistance all to no avail. However copying and pasting in to a simple website to count my words alleviates this hiccup. Other than that, no issues ever and this is a top notch product.

Honestly speaking, I would suggest this software to businesses of all sizes. Very useful tool in all respects.

Pros

OnlyOffice is a fantastic piece of software that generates and manages office document files like word and excel. Doesn't require any expertise or training, very self intuitive interface.

Cons

Some features require an extra step to resolve, hope developers will note and make it more simple.

Pros

OnlyOffice has brilliant user interface for generating word, spreadsheets and powerpoint slides. I really love using it and would recommend to others as well.

Some options like applying same background to every powerpoint slide is hidden or not available.

Il server dei documenti risponde benissimo, si adatta a tutte le configurazioni hardware e non richiede troppe risorse, l'elaborazione è identica ai prodotti Microsoft, e con gli ultimi aggiornamenti anche l'interfaccia grafica ci assomiglia molto. Una funzione molto utile è l'autosave, indispensabile per chi lavora sempre in giro e di corsa.

Pros

Appoggiandosi a software di terze parti tipo nextcloud o filerun aumenta non di poco le funzionalità di una workspace online, ciò lo rende uno strumento perfetto per l'elaborazione di documenti in un sistema convergente risparmiando così parecchie risorse sui terminali. Per chi proviene dal mondo Microsoft non noterà sostanziali differenze nell'utilizzo, ma le noterà l'azienda risparmiando parecchio denaro in termini di licenze.

Cons

Ho avuto modo di provarlo installandolo in diversi modi, ma data la scarsa documentazione ho dovuto sperimentare parecchio. Ho notato che da il meglio di sé sotto docker ( per chi ha esperienza). L'installazione non è molto plug & play, ci sono parecchie cose da configurare e le guide sono solo in lingua inglese, ma con tenacia e pazienza ci si riesce.
