It takes a little time to set up as all systems do but once in place it runs smoothly & is very easy to use. The information is easy to access & very reliable, I would say it's been a big part in the success of our business since we first used in 2013. Pros Ease of use & accuracy of information given. Pros We were one of Prodtrac's early Software adopters, like with any software their is a lot of work you need to put in at the beginning but once its set up correctly it just works & takes care of our food production, tractability, financial reports & ordering, the flexibility to add specific tailor made reports is really useful. The way Prodtrac will create customised reports for us has been invaluable and such a time saver. Pros Some of the best customer service, always resolves any question within 24 hours, has worked with us to create many customised reports, from costings to invoicing to traceability it does it all Cons The traceability and stock control is very "clunky" and time consuming so we don't use these elements Review Source DS Daniel S. Informative and great ability to get custom reports made. Pros Easy to use, understand and navigate. All links together nicely. Cons Due to it being a complete package, there are a lot of screens/boxes in forms that aren't used which can add a lot of confusion when setting up new products etc. Maybe a bit more flexibility to customisation wouldn't go a miss. The software is comprehensive supporting technical, manufacturing, planning and finance. The software is easy to use and the reporting excellent. It represents excellent value for money for a full manufacturing system, that has been specifically designed for the food sector. The multi-level BOMs are essential in food manufacturing and absent in a lot of other manufacturing systems. From a finance prospective the reporting on gross margin is an outstanding tool to control costs and increase gross margin. Pros The software is comprehensive supporting technical, manufacturing, planning and finance. The software is easy to use and the reporting excellent. It represents excellent value for money for a full manufacturing system, that has been specifically designed for the food sector. June 15, 2022 5.0 I enjoy using ProdTrac on a daily basis, it runs smooth, no problems and with ease. I would definitely reccomend it to other colleagues as it keeps the records organised and always at a one click distance :) I have had all the support whenever I required it which is a big plus. I cannot do my job without it, therefore the quick replies I had from the team enabled me to do my job in a timely manner which is of the utmost importance. Thank you for great support and communication! Pros It is easy to use once you learn how to work with it. It has a lot of features and options that help you to achieve your tasks, it is designed to be used by different departments within the company which I appreciate a lot. Cons I am currently using Prod Trac only to record the products and for traceability purposes even though I am aware that it can do much more so I am not able to say how it would be integrated with other apps. I would appreciate if there was a warning in advance for expiring raw materials (maybe a week before and the colour would be orange as a warning) rather than it going straight to red. If something needed to be changed, then a section designed for that would be a much quicker way (i.e best before date or removing a product that is no longer in stock but shows as expired). Pros The flexibility of the software and the extensive reporting feature is fantastic. As a BRC accredited factory we find ProdTrac invaluable for traceability. It helps us control all aspects of our business from raw material intake through to production and final despatch of finished product. Regular updates and bespoke tweaks to additional screens/reports means the software brows as new demands come in from accreditation bodies/H&S requests. Cons The only slight criticism is the 'look' of the screens. This does not affect the functioning of the software and this is a personal preference, but I'd like the screens to look more modern.
