Most importantly, I like the peace of mind it provides. The alarm is quite loud and can easily be heard in an emergency. Cons The price is a little high and I don’t like the green/red light that makes it obvious to potential intruders whether the system is armed. Also, the alarm itself seemed to work fast because the people that broke and had to leave immediately. Cons I’m very happy with ADT. What a mistake! The sales representative was clueless and clearly lacked proper training. \*\*CCTV:\*\* I asked for outdoor cameras, but the ones they installed couldn't handle the weather or salty air. They had to be replaced! The technician didn't bother to explain how to use the system, which was a nightmare to operate. Reviewing recordings was a chore, and even live images were a hassle. Nobody at ADT seemed to know how to use the system they installed. When the CCTV server died, they expected me to pay hundreds of dollars for a new one plus ridiculous installation costs. I fixed it myself with a computer and an app, and now it works better than ADT's mess. \*\*Alarm:\*\* Their so-called "installation" came with minimal explanations on arming and disarming the system. When an error appeared asking to replace sensor batteries, I assumed it was just the door sensors. But no, it was a motion sensor too—one I didn't even know had a battery! When I couldn't fix the error by changing the door sensor batteries, I called a technician. Turns out it was the motion sensor battery all along. ADT billed me $198 for something I could have done myself if they had just explained it over the phone. Communicating with ADT is a joke. They ignored my emails and calls, leaving me with voicemail and text messages demanding payment. They have no interest in resolving issues or helping their customers. Their behavior is shocking and disgraceful. Do NOT use ADT. They don't care about their customers because they rely on their advertising to bring in more victims. Having staff and family feel peace of mind is great. The quality is superior to everyone. The name that old value. Pros ADT Security has great service. The quality of cameras excellent. It gives me peace of mind. Everyone feels safe which is priceless. The brand name gives respect. The respond time is fast. I highly recommend it. Pros This is security that is easy to set up. You can add/edit users easily. This allows our team to edit and secure our business and we know that it will be safe. We can access remotely or by user pad. We have had a few times that the alarms had went off and they communication of the issue is reported immediately and responded to quickly. Cons The billing portions on the website is a little difficult to find, but the product itself is easy to use both mobile and web. Reasons for choosing ADT Security The ease us use and quick install sold us. Also the ability to have a mobile app, as not all of our admins are always on site. I could have used their competitors for a cheaper price. But I've learned a long time ago, just because the price is low that doesn't mean quality comes with the package. Pros The feature I enjoy most about my ADT Security is the two-way microphone. I can turn on the 'live' feature to view what's going on around our home and make a public announcement at the same time. For instance, I had an issue with a career criminal minded individual trying to break into our home. That person came back nightly around the same time. So, I turned on the microphone to alert the criminal I was aware of his presence. I was humored at the same time that the criminal paused to listen to what I had to say. Cons When living in a mobile home community having a security system is necessary. When I initially signed up to get our security system, I was told by a customer service rep that a camera could be placed underneath our manufactured home (crawl spot), but it turned out to be incorrect. When the tech support arrived, he said they're cameras wouldn't be able to operate underneath our home because it wouldn't have the right temperature as it would of the exterior cameras. I was hugely disappointed. Underneath our home was where we faced the most issues with that criminal.
