Do not take users money and then lock them into legacy plans that don't update with the latest features. I absolutely hate companies that do this and any company that does should go out of business. Pros It was cool until they revealed that they were fundamentally a shady company. Cons Candu ran a lifetime deal to raise money to build their product on Appsumo. They had many users purchase the product, guaranteeing future updates. Then they put everybody who purchased the Appsumo plan on a legacy pricing plan and refused to give access to new features.#1 bad business practice for any company that ran an Appsumo campaign. I also added a checklist to my members' site and it was a great addition. Pros The fact that you could add content on platforms that would normally require a developer or programmer for that. They have some useful ready-to-use blocks and examples. The dashboard is very modern and intuitive. Cons In general is not easy to use at all. Documentation could be improved. Before Candu, we were using a competing product and it was not nearly as flexible. It also posed technical problems that we don’t have with Candu. Pros Great customer support and response time. I could not really figure out the integration part. It took one Zoom call with Candu and they walked me through it. Cons The whole thing with javascript, tagging the slug, and css id was a bit too much for me but I got the help I needed. Using the drag and drop tools was intuitive and did not have any glitches. The Chrome extension is a really great feature. It lets me preview what it will look like. Pros It is seamless with the product. Everything that I have created looks like the dev team made it. There is a branding style guide you set up that automatically makes everything on brand. Cons I would like to see it support more use cases, like having a feature to support multi steps UI changes. I am also hoping for some integrations with CRMs like HubSpot to pull in my customer data. They just released an iframe feature which is a good way to manage in the meantime to collect newsletter signups. I would Not recommend anyone to buy or even try this product, the product cant'do anything unlike its name, the only thing it can do is cheat its customers, steer clear ppl. stay safe and dont touch this software even with a bargepole. Pros Well, they launched as a lifetime deal on appsumo and were very generous with their offer, to the extent that a single code was sufficient for a small business to survive, and the plan included all future updates to their software available for the early adopters, but now, post the refund period, they are going back on their word and expecting the early adopters to pay for every single feature that they release. The \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is downright arrogant, and even boasts on video that how he cleverly used the appsumo platform to get paid for features that he intended to release for free, plus make the scapegoats pay, this kind of attitude especially from the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] sends all the bells ringing, which would also define the overall ethical make of the company. He also mentions on the video that he made money and got free testers to help identify and iron out the bugs, which helps him improve the product plus by making updates paid, he also gets the same users to pay for upgrades. This is not at all an ethical practice, the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] seems to be more inclined to find loopholes than seriously support the early adopters. feature wise the product is meh.. not worth owning at this point, and has a steep learning curve to the point of tiring. the only reason i got it was hoping that it would get better, but now we are expected to pay for it, so would steer clear of this, get a developer to do it for you, might be cheaper and reliable. Cons The \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] attitude, who after a seemingly good campaign on appsumo, decide to pull the plug on the very users who supported them when they were not even a tool. The software is shoddy, and this is not coming from a place of deceit, try it out, sign up for the free version, it does nothing that you cannot do with a wordpress designer, and well they say you dont need to touch the website, but expect you to embed scripts, like thats a simple thing to do for a non technical guy. I own that the way I positioned this was in a transactional-relationship kind of way. That was wrong of me. I do want to clarify that we have not changed anything with our product offering and the LTD deal we provided on AppSumo was and will continue to be an incredibly valuable deal that no-one will have access to in the future. I'm rarely make a long review, but you guys really deserve it. Thank you for letting me in after the appsumo deals are over. Really appreciate it. First of all, the most I like with Candu is its capability to create dashboard onboarding without coding and can embed it into another saas. I'm running a small agency with no good coder. We were always not satisfied with our programmer work, or our freelancer work. Yeah, I can't do anything since I cannot do some coding, and takes time to do revision. We always struggle to create a beautiful dashboard in an effective way, struggling for years, then came Candu to my face. In first time use, I love the UI they have, so simple. Their block system and drag and drop builder are easy to understand. For design matters, the key is if you can maximize the configuration for padding, growth, shrink function, you can almost create anything with these tools as you want. Do not need to worry again to the unresponsive section. Haha.! In this case, you can create the most epic onboarding dashboard using these tools. Really impressive. Their support is really patient explain to me while I'm learning this. So in conclusion, what I like the most: - Simple impressive Builder - Blocking system - Great community - Always updated - Good customer service, thank you, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]! Cons The first time I see these Candu, I'm not sure what is these tool. A common website builder? Their video introduction is funny and good. But for a no coder like me, it's hard to understand the first time What is this tool?? What these tools can do? For me, they try to tell me, this is a tool for no coder. But the way they explain to me, is not quite simple. Even for the tutorial, I'm trying to read the docs, a lazy man like me usually just want to search some keyword I want to know, such as "how to use in my website", but surprisingly there are no search function in their docs. Hope they will add such a feature soon. What I least about this software: - No search function on docs - No mobile preview - Their docs explanation for no-coder like me need to be upgraded.
