Pros

Remote Health completely changes the insurance experience through a beautifully minimalist and intuitive user interface that eliminates confusing bureaucratic clutter. Managing a global team is entirely effortless, and above all, their customer support (specifically \[sensitive content hidden\]) has been a gem to work with anytime we do have some issues with the backend on our side.

Cons

Their sales team. One noted case is where our sister company ultimately chose to terminate their relationship and leave the platform entirely because of the poor experience due to being told one thing and then after signing up, being told it the price was something else entirely. They did at least refund them.

I’ve had a truly positive experience with SafetyWing so far. From onboarding to everyday use, everything has been intuitive and hassle-free. I’ve had little to no trouble with the system, and on the rare occasion something needed attention, it was handled quickly and efficiently. What really sets this experience apart is the level of support. The team is attentive, proactive, and reassuring, which makes navigating everything feel effortless. \[sensitive content hidden\], in particular, has been exceptional, always approachable, prompt, and genuinely invested in helping. The way he handles queries reflects a high level of care and dedication, making the entire process feel well-supported and reliable. Overall, it’s been a smooth and dependable experience, backed by a team that truly understands the value of great support. Overall, the experience has been easy, reliable, and genuinely enjoyable, which is something you don’t come across often.

Pros

I’ve had a genuinely wonderful experience with SafetyWing. The customer support is not just efficient, it’s thoughtful and reassuring, which makes all the difference. The onboarding process has been smooth and stress-free, and I always feel well taken care of. \[sensitive content hidden\], in particular, has been absolutely incredible. He’s responsive, kind, and consistently goes above and beyond to help. There’s a real sense of care in how he handles every query, and it honestly feels like having a trusted partner rather than just support. I never have to worry about delays or confusion, everything is handled promptly and with such professionalism. It’s rare to come across this level of support, and it has made my entire experience seamless and enjoyable.

Cons

So far, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. I haven’t encountered any system-related issues, and on the rare occasions something came up, it was resolved almost immediately by the support team. Their responsiveness and efficiency really stand out, making everything feel seamless and easy to navigate.

Pros

Remote Health makes it easy for us to offer a comprehensive health insurance alternative for our international folks. The price to value ratio is great and our users seem to be able to use it in their respective countries with little to no hassle. Our account manager, George, is amazing and has become a friend. The other people at RH that we interact with are also great...highly professional, quick to respond, and genuinely kind people who understand remote work.

Cons

I don't have much to say here, but I have to fill up my 100 minimum characters :) I guess the one area for improvement might be making the dashboard more robust, but all in all it does what we need and I have no complaints.

Pros

I've been using Safety Wing (Remote Health plan) for over 4 years and it's the best company perk we have. The claim system is easy and smooth and the reimbursement comes back quickly. You get the best care when you are sick and in need, but it also helps you take care of your general health with complementary therapies!

Cons

Sometimes the platform to submit a claim gets stuck but it's quickly solved by contacting customers' support.

Pros

It is fairly simple to claim for your health expenses; you just need to fill out a form a take a picture of the invoices to upload them.

Cons

The software itself is quite good, but the company sometimes takes too long to respond to your claims.

Maybe not related to the software itself, but having to pay for the medical expenses in advance is not cool. I would value a better integration within the medical network (at least in Spain in which all medical insurances pay all in advance).

Pros

Easy to report. However, ideally, all should be integrated with clinics to avoid the need of making claims.

Cons

I miss a better way of showing exactly which are your coverages.

The software isn't great right now, but it might get better. Support is great though. They took my feedback on board and I've been assured it will be incorporated into developments but, this is a health insurance service so not everyone will have the appetite to wait for something that is pretty crucial.

Pros

Product is easy to use in that you can log-in easily and can navigate around easily

Cons

Dashboard is non-existent right now, though I've been told it's still being developed. No details around specific policies offered, no policy documents for insured clients.

No coverage in the country that I live in.

Pros

I have not used the product as it is not available in my country

Cons

It is my understanding that Safety Wing does not cover any medical treatments in South Africa. I am based in South Africa, so this is essentially not really a viable product for me. Unless they will be covering South Africa in the future?
