### "Not the best insurance for remote employees "

Pros

1\. very straightforward, 2. super easy UI which makes it very pleasant for a user to understand what's included and what to submit.

Cons

1\. compared with what is out there, the offer is very limiting and isn't that great.

Almost consistently a waste of money and time. We'll be moving off it as soon as there are better options.

Pros

It's the only one on the market more or less, it's consistently used by EOR and it's easy to roll out due to the kind of "path of least resistence."

Cons

The front of remote health is just a marketplace of bureaucratic, ineffective, slow providers in country. Once you're behind the Remote 'platform' you're interfaced with a traditional, difficult to use system. Once you've submitted a claim, the providers do almost anything they can to discredit the claim. It is, at this point, barely worth offering the benefit at all.

### "Good coverage, bad implementation"

Maybe not related to the software itself, but having to pay for the medical expenses in advance is not cool. I would value a better integration within the medical network (at least in Spain in which all medical insurances pay all in advance).

Pros

Easy to report. However, ideally, all should be integrated with clinics to avoid the need of making claims.

Cons

I miss a better way of showing exactly which are your coverages.

### "Great Perk and Smooth system"

Pros

I've been using Safety Wing (Remote Health plan) for over 4 years and it's the best company perk we have. The claim system is easy and smooth and the reimbursement comes back quickly. You get the best care when you are sick and in need, but it also helps you take care of your general health with complementary therapies!

Cons

Sometimes the platform to submit a claim gets stuck but it's quickly solved by contacting customers' support.

### "Not ideal experience for Europeans"

\- I haven't been able to experience the invoice process yet as I have not had the need to go to a private clinic yet.

Pros

\- The fact that I have private insurance as a remote employee in Spain for a US based company.

Cons

\- The way remote health is set up might be familiar for users coming from the US health system where you need to handle bills and invoices and do the work of passing those over your insurer (at least in some cases I believe). The way private insurance works in Europa and LATAM (in my experience) is that the insurer offers a a set of available clinics and facilities they have agreements with so when you are insured with a specific vendor you know to which hospitals you should go. With remote health I don't get recommended a specific doctor or facility to go to and that's weird coming from what I described previously. It also forces me to think about which doctors might charge more or less, what is my limit, etc. so I end up having to think about it more beyond just, "I need to go to the doctor where is one I could go to covered by my insurance". Not ideal, specially if you are coming from simpler healthcare experiences. It can be a bit confusing.

### "Remove Health - For those everywhere"

Super support Easy process Payments fast

Pros

Remote Health has been super for our company that is based all around the world. Just because we are all not in one country shouldn't limit us to access to healthcare! Been super easy to upload claims and guided as to the next steps where it is in the process. Payments are super fast too!

Cons

The limit in terms for a claim amount is not taken into consideration as some countries have less of a currency and pricing model is different compared to European prices.

No coverage in the country that I live in.

Pros

I have not used the product as it is not available in my country

Cons

It is my understanding that Safety Wing does not cover any medical treatments in South Africa. I am based in South Africa, so this is essentially not really a viable product for me. Unless they will be covering South Africa in the future?

### "Software is okay, but still developing"

The software isn't great right now, but it might get better. Support is great though. They took my feedback on board and I've been assured it will be incorporated into developments but, this is a health insurance service so not everyone will have the appetite to wait for something that is pretty crucial.

Pros

Product is easy to use in that you can log-in easily and can navigate around easily

Cons

Dashboard is non-existent right now, though I've been told it's still being developed. No details around specific policies offered, no policy documents for insured clients.

### "Great coverage for digital nomads"

I've claimed once and it took a while before I received the value and once it got to my account it was further reduced by a foreign currency fee - asking for my local currency did't really matter. A 20% copay became 40% because of that.

Pros

I like that it covers most things that other insurance providers can't or won't do.

Cons

Ease of inputting bank account details is a bit confusing as it asks for details that we don't usually use even for international transfer.

The benefit is that I don't have to think about where I am and what service is going to be covered. Whether I am home or working as a digital nomad around the world, I am covered and it really put my mind at ease. I wish they should recommend doctors especially international ones in each country.

Pros

It's a global solution, I don't need to think about where and when to go to the doctor and I can submit claims from any country. Interface is easy to use.

Cons

The App is not available in my country (Spain) and it's a contradiction with the global offer concept. Filing a claims is a long an non-intuitive process. - Super long questionnaire - Not enough indication on what to really fill in - Date field doesn't have an international format - First time it went to pending literally the only option not explained - No message to say it moved from one status to the other - Missing SLAs In my case I was originally forwarded to a third party portal that was quite slow to charge between pages.

Pros

Remote Health has been really simple to use. When I needed to make a claim, I was able to do it easy and seamlessly. I was able to quickly fill the form and attach files without too much trouble. Very recommended.

Cons

The response time of the customer support could be improved a bit. As it is a live chat, I expected a quick response, but at least they responded over email to clarify my question, so not bad after all.

As in Germany you generally have a health insurance, it works like an add on and adds more service. At the same time you have a coverage in all other countries a frequent traveler like me needs.
