IT technician Law Practice Used the software for: 2+ years ### "PowerISO review" December 16, 2021 5.0 The best way to access large compressed files without actually extracting them by simply mounting to a virtual drive is awosome, it's has saved me a lot of space by highly compressing and securing files from malware. Pros The ability to create a bootable USB drive, mount any size of file made easier. Cons The trial version not being able to compress more than 300mbs file. Switched from [WinRAR](https://www.capterra.com/p/207190/WinRAR/) Winrar having no mount feature makes it inefetient with large files since you have to first extract temporarily. The program support many file formats, through which you can create an image of the system or your important files, or even create a virtual disk with simple clicks. Installation is easy and UI is very simple and it makes it easy to use. Pros Power ISO offers huge amount of features to its users. From burning your favorite songs to CD, DVD or a blue ray disc to create bootable windows USB drive. I have been using PowerISO for last few years and it has made my life easier. From creating ISO images of final year projects in university to burning personal media to CD it has never disappointed me. Cons Sometimes while burning an ISO image or any other format, processing gets stuck and PowerISO stops responding. After restarting the PowerISO, when you try to burn the CD again, it says that CD storage space is full. So its better to use rewritable CD while using PowerISO. Review Source Arun G. Pros 1\. The program is easy to use and setup. 2. Has many useful functions related to ISO files like creating a bootable usb drive from ISO file, editing ISO files, encrypt ISO's etc. 3. Is not heavy on sysyem resources. 4. Free version available with editing and creating of ISO files that are 300MB or lesser support. I use it to write data to disks (USB, DVD, VCD). I use it to to open some file extension the computer does not support naturally. In case I am in need to boot some sytems, powerISo has always been my first aid Cons Its only problem is that it doesn't support double boot.
