Zego is top notch. I have used other tools over the years and Zego really is the best value for the investment.

Pros

Zego is fantastic! When onboarding new property managers, it is really ease to train them and bring them up to speed quickly. The utility billing is seamless and saves time performing tasks. When assistance is needed, the customer support team at Zego is top notch. They solve problems AND empower us end users with good training. Plus, they are so friendly!

Cons

There really is not anything about Zego that is negative or a "con". I have found everything with Zego to be wonderful!

Experience so far has been satisfactory. Very easy to refund accidental duplicate payments. Easy method of checking payment history.

Pros

Zego is very user friendly and the autopay and Flexpay options help residents keep current on their rent.

Cons

Using Plaid was a concern for some residents as it continually checked account balances and would not allow payments to process if Plaid thought there was not enough money in the account.

### "Zego and Rent Manager -- A Perfect Fit"

I would say that using it with Rent Manager Express (online version) is the best way to maximize your Zego efforts.

Pros

About half of our residents use Zego to make rent payments (with the others writing checks--remember those?) through Rent Manager, our rental management system. The integration is absolutely seamless, and I don't need to log into any additional applications to ensure that we are getting paid.

Cons

For a while, we had an issue with returned payments, but that has been resolved satisfactorily by their support team.

Not favorable. I get really annoyed with not being able to talk to someone to get issues resolved. And more irritated when they mess up on what I have requested. It is impossible to actually talk to someone that can help you. They are all message takers.

Pros

Most of the time they get our RUBS bills correctly. I like that rent payments download into our software.

Cons

Their help system. You can never call and talk to someone and get an issue resolved. You can submit a help ticket online yourself. And if you call in, the person puts in a help ticket for you. Not helpful. When they get around to helping you, it could be several days. Last time it took 2 weeks and that was after I sent an email to remind them. Also, I try to be as clear as possible in my emails, and often they don't do what I have asked. Then they have to correct what they did and that takes more time. Would be more helpful if we could talk to someone and get the issue resolved like other companies.

Overall, my experience with Zego has been solid and practical. It does what it’s supposed to do without creating extra work or complexity. The system is easy to navigate, the workflows make sense, and once things are set up, it largely runs in the background. That alone removes a lot of day-to-day friction.

Pros

From a resident's standpoint, everything being in one place just makes life easier. From an operator standpoint, fewer errors, cleaner records, and decent integrations matter more than flashy features—and Zego delivers there. Support has also been solid when issues come up.

Cons

I wish there were at least one free option for transactions (regarding fees), but I do understand that the pricing structure is competitive.

Cons

Lockbox specific - not being able to see images of payments with envelopes/post. Can only view them if they are pushed to an exception queue for decisioning.

It has been very positive. There have been a few small bumps and almost always they are fixed quickly.

Pros

The ease of use and its integration with RentManager. It blows away other solutions we worked with previously. We "set it and forget it" for the most part. Saves lots of time and energy for our company.

Cons

It would be even better if all features were available in Canada.

Pros

The best is how easy it is for the tenant to use. Very user friendly and customer service is always quick and helpful.

The least thing I like is the time we spent without it! Really, there's nothing I can think of that we don't like.

My nearly 15 year experience with Zego products has been overwhelmingly positive. I find their team to be interested in customer feedback, concerns and recommendations to help drive innovation and product development.

Pros

Having been a user and pilot user of many zego products and features over the years one thing has stood out; their value on customer input to help drive product initiatives.

Cons

The inherent challenges of an integrated product vs. single stack solution. If something were to operate incorrectly the separation of products can increase the troubleshooting workload.

Reason for choosing Zego

Price and convenience were top of mind considerations followed closely by back-end user experience.

Pros

Easy to use, set it and forget it. The best type of back-end software is the kind you don't have to think about.

Very happy with Zego payments and the Zego customer support.

Pros

We use Zego for processing resident payments, which allows our customers to use a variety of payment methods we would not otherwise be able to accept. Zego integrates with our management software and automatically updates the resident's account.

Cons

Users sometimes forget to turn off their automatic payments. But Zego has implemented the refund button so that has become easier to correct.

Cons

I really don't have any Cons. Occasionally there might be a hiccup with customer service.

I really like this program, but there is definitely room to improve.

Pros

I like how easy the app makes it for me to post and collect RSVPs for resident events. It's also very easy to communicate with residents through the chat function. This review was collected with the promise of rewards on Zego Champions.

Cons

There are frequent tech issues and bugs for residents. These happen most often when there is a new update.

Our experience, espencially with costumer service, has been excellent.

Pros

Zego has made our lives easier by giving us the place for our residents to pay their rent online. We also use Cashpay which is new for us and it's been awesome. We no longer take money orders and instead, they use cashpay and the money goes directly into their account. No more scanners not reading the money orders causing bank errors!

Cons

The only con is when I can't get my bosses to implement another one of their programs!
