Pros It does help to get more leads. It's not super easy to set up but once it's working it's can be ok. Cons I purchased a done for you lead capture marketing campaign. I was passed of to another company for this service. The page they produced was a rubbish template. They then started completely ignoring me and refuse to give me a refund. So I paid $1497 USD for nothing. They took the money and won't honour the offer. Criminal. I'm in the UK and would wait almost 48 hours for a reply. Their working hours rarely crossed with mine. I eventually gave up and cancelled having never run a contest. They wouldn't refund me the amount after 30 days ( the total was about 45) because that was beyond their terms. They were unwilling to acknowledge that, had their customer service been better, it wouldn't have taken 45 days to try and get it to work. Pros I liked the options to earn points through different methods. Cons It never worked properly. It's really buggy. By the end it kept just popping up across the site...only established this when I got colleagues to test it out. I had purchased a one time offer for the 'Contest' program and found the information helpful. Cons Initially I had some issues with the subscription service. I didn't notice/realise that I was subscribing to a service (That I didn't need), however I cancelled the subscription and the great news is that I received good support and a refund. I was having issues with logging into the account and the widget was broken for over a month. I got locked out of the account even though they charged me for a whole year and after two people no one is able to help me resolve my issue. I'm trying to cancel the platform, but not even sure if I can because I'm locked out of my account even after doing multiple password resets. It's gotten to the point where they say my e-mail doesn't exist in their database. Just a mess. Pros It was helpful to get people to share your content, but it depends on the type of industry you are in. Probably doesn't work for B2B. Cons Bad customer service. Hard to get a hold of people. It is very user friendly, support is very helpful, and the user-base and community is significant and active, which means that there is always useful help/suggestions on hand. Pros UpViral solves a unique Use-Case for my business. I needed more of a Reward Program implemented rather than a pure viral marketing campaign. I either bought or subscribed to a number of other products, but they all didn't quite solve my need. Although UpViral isn't exactly designed for my use-case, with a bit of creative thinking (and some personalised help from support), I was able to create a reward program campaign that fits my need almost exactly. The reason I could do this (and where the other platforms failed) is because of the flexibility and customisation built into UpViral. Cons My exact use-case wasn't quite in the realm of the UpViral platform. It took a bit of creative thinking and trial-and-error to get the platform to work the way I needed my Reward Program to function. It wasn't an "out of the box" solution. I needed to lean on UpViral support to help me achieve my goal. In many ways this is also testament to UpViral's strength and flexibility. Reasons for choosing UpViral I could manipulate/manage the UpViral platform to almost exactly suit my need. The other platforms I tried just didn't have the same flexibility for my use-case.
